ગીતશાસ્ત્ર 72

1 ૧ સુલેમાનનું (ગીત.) હે ઈશ્વર, તમે રાજાને ન્યાય કરવાનો અધિકાર આપો, રાજાના પુત્રને તમારું ન્યાયીપણું આપો.

[A Psalm] of Solomon. Give the king thy judgments, O God, and thy righteousness unto the king’s son.

2 ૨ તે ન્યાયીપણાથી તમારા લોકોનો ન્યાય અને નિષ્પક્ષપાતથી તમારા દીનોનો ઇનસાફ કરશે.

He shall judge thy people with righteousness, and thy poor with judgment.

3 ૩ પર્વતો લોકોને શાંતિ આપો; ડુંગરો ન્યાયીપણું આપો.

The mountains shall bring peace to the people, and the hills, in righteousness.

4 ૪ તે લોકોમાંના ગરીબોનો ન્યાય કરશે; તે દરિદ્રીઓના દીકરાઓને બચાવશે અને જુલમગારને છૂંદી નાખશે.

He shall judge the poor of the people, he shall save the children of the needy, and shall break in pieces the oppressor.

5 ૫ સૂર્ય તથા ચંદ્ર રહે ત્યાં સુધી તેઓ પેઢી દરપેઢી તમારી બીક રાખશે.

They shall fear thee while the sun endureth, and so long as the moon, throughout all generations.

6 ૬ જેમ કાપેલા ઘાસ પર વરસાદ વરસે છે, અને જેમ પૃથ્વીને સિંચનારા ઝાપટાં થાય છે, તેમ તેની ઉન્નતિ થતી રહેશે.

He shall come down like rain upon the mown grass: as showers that water the earth.

7 ૭ તેના દિવસોમાં ન્યાયીઓ ખીલશે અને ચંદ્ર જતો રહેશે, ત્યાં સુધી પુષ્કળ શાંતિ રહેશે.

In his days shall the righteous flourish; and abundance of peace, till the moon be no more.

8 ૮ વળી તે સમુદ્રથી સમુદ્ર સુધી અને નદીથી તે પૃથ્વીના છેડા સુધી રાજ કરશે.

He shall have dominion also from sea to sea, and from the River unto the ends of the earth.

9 ૯ જેઓ અરણ્યમાં રહે છે, તેઓ તેમની આગળ નમશે; તેમના શત્રુઓ ધૂળ ચાટશે.

They that dwell in the wilderness shall bow before him; and his enemies shall lick the dust.

10 ૧૦ તાર્શીશના રાજાઓ અને દરિયાકિનારાનાં રાજાઓ ખંડણી આપશે; શેબા તથા સબાના રાજાઓ નજરાણાં કરશે.

The kings of Tarshish and of the isles shall bring presents: the kings of Sheba and Seba shall offer gifts.

11 ૧૧ સર્વ રાજાઓ તેમની આગળ પ્રણામ કરશે; સર્વ દેશનાઓ તેમની સેવા કરશે.

Yea, all kings shall fall down before him: all nations shall serve him.

12 ૧૨ કારણ કે દરિદ્રી પોકાર કરે, ત્યારે તે તેને સહાય કરશે અને દુઃખી જેનો કોઈ મદદગાર નથી તેનો તે બચાવ કરશે.

For he shall deliver the needy when he crieth; and the poor, that hath no helper.

13 ૧૩ તે લાચાર તથા દરિદ્રીઓ ઉપર દયા બતાવશે અને દરિદ્રીઓના આત્માનો બચાવ કરશે.

He shall have pity on the poor and needy, and the souls of the needy he shall save.

14 ૧૪ તે તેઓના આત્માઓને જુલમ તથા બળાત્કારથી છોડાવશે અને તેમની દ્રષ્ટિમાં તેઓનું લોહી મૂલ્યવાન થશે.

He shall redeem their soul from oppression and violence; and precious shall their blood be in his sight:

15 ૧૫ રાજા જીવશે! તેમને શેબાનું સોનું આપવામાં આવશે. લોકો તેના માટે નિત્ય પ્રાર્થના કરશે; ઈશ્વર તેમને આખો દિવસ આશીર્વાદ આપશે.

And they shall live; and to him shall be given of the gold of Sheba: and men shall pray for him continually; they shall bless him all the day long.

16 ૧૬ દેશમાં પર્વતોનાં શિખરો પર પુષ્કળ ધાન્ય પાકશે; તેનાં ફળ લબાનોનનાં ફળ જેવાં ઝૂલશે અને નગરના રહેવાસીઓ ઘાસની જેમ વધશે.

There shall be abundance of corn in the earth upon the top of the mountains; the fruit thereof shall shake like Lebanon: and they of the city shall flourish like grass of the earth.

17 ૧૭ રાજાનું નામ સર્વદા રહેશે; સૂર્ય તપે ત્યાં સુધી તેમનું નામ ટકશે; તેમનામાં લોકો આશીર્વાદ પામશે. સર્વ દેશનાઓ તેમની સ્તુતિ કરશે.

His name shall endure for ever; his name shall be continued as long as the sun: and men shall be blessed in him; all nations shall call him happy.

18 ૧૮ યહોવાહ ઈશ્વરની, ઇઝરાયલના ઈશ્વરની, સ્તુતિ થાઓ, એકલા તે જ આશ્ચર્યકારક કામો કરે છે.

Blessed be the LORD God, the God of Israel, who only doeth wondrous things:

19 ૧૯ સર્વકાળ માટે તેમના ગૌરવી નામને પ્રશંસા હોજો અને આખી પૃથ્વી તેમના મહિમાથી ભરપૂર થાઓ. આમીન તથા આમીન.

And blessed be his glorious name for ever; and let the whole earth be filled with his glory. Amen, and Amen.

20 ૨૦ યિશાઈના પુત્ર દાઉદની પ્રાર્થનાઓ પૂર્ણ થઈ છે.
