ગીતશાસ્ત્ર 70

1 ૧ મુખ્ય ગવૈયાને માટે. સંભારણને અર્થે. દાઉદનું ગીત. હે ઈશ્વર, મારો બચાવ કરો! હે યહોવાહ, ઉતાવળ કરીને મને સહાય કરો.

For the chief musician. A psalm of David; to bring to remembrance. Save me, God! Yahweh, come quickly and help me.

2 ૨ જેઓ મારો પ્રાણ લેવા ઇચ્છે છે, તેઓ નિરાશ થાઓ અને આકુળવ્યાકુળ થઈ જાઓ; જેઓ મારું અનિષ્ટ ઇચ્છે છે, તેઓ પાછા પડો અને અપમાનિત થાઓ.

Let those who try to take my life be ashamed and humiliated; let them be turned back and brought to dishonor, those who take pleasure in my pain.

3 ૩ જેઓ કહે છે કે, “આહા, આહા,” તેઓ પોતાના અપમાનને કારણે પાછા હઠો.

Let them be turned back because of their shame, those who say, “Aha, aha.”

4 ૪ તમારા શોધાનારાઓ હરખાઓ અને તમારામાં આનંદ કરો; જેઓ તમારા દ્વારા મળતા ઉદ્ધાર પર પ્રેમ કરે છે તેઓ પોકારીને કહો કે, “ઈશ્વર મોટા મનાઓ.”

Let all those who seek you rejoice and be glad in you; let those who love your salvation always say, “May God be praised.”

5 ૫ પણ હું તો દીન તથા દરિદ્રી છું; હે ઈશ્વર, મારી પાસે ઉતાવળથી આવો; તમે મારા સહાયકારી તથા મને છોડાવનાર છો. હે યહોવાહ, વિલંબ ન કરો.

But I am poor and needy; hurry to me, God; you are my help and you rescue me. Yahweh, do not delay.
