ગીતશાસ્ત્ર 5

1 ૧ મુખ્ય ગવૈયાને માટે; નહીલોથ સાથે ગાવાને. દાઉદનું ગીત. હે યહોવાહ, મારા બોલવા પર કાન ધરો; મારા ચિંતન પર લક્ષ આપો.

For the Chief Musician; with the Nehiloth. A Psalm of David. Give ear to my words, O LORD, consider my (meditation)

2 ૨ હે મારા રાજા અને મારા ઈશ્વર, મારી અરજ સાંભળો, કારણ કે હું તમારી પ્રાર્થના કરું છું.

Hearken unto the voice of my cry, my King, and my God: for unto thee do I pray.

3 ૩ હે યહોવાહ, સવારમાં તમે મારી પ્રાર્થના સાંભળશો; સવારમાં હું તારી પાસે મારી અરજીઓ લાવું છું કરીને ઉત્તરને માટે હું રાહ જોઈ રહીશ.

O LORD, in the morning shalt thou hear my voice; in the morning will I order [my prayer] unto thee, and will keep watch.

4 ૪ દુષ્ટતાથી ખુશ થાય એવા ઈશ્વર તમે નથી; દુષ્ટ લોકો તમારી પાસે રહી શકતા નથી.

For thou art not a God that hath pleasure in wickedness: evil shall not sojourn with thee.

5 ૫ તમારી હજૂરમાં અભિમાની ઊભા રહી શકતા નથી; જેઓ દુષ્ટતા સાથે વ્યવહાર કરે તે સર્વને તમે ધિક્કારો છો.

The arrogant shall not stand in thy sight: thou hatest all workers of iniquity.

6 ૬ જૂઠું બોલનારાઓનો તમે નાશ કરશો; યહોવાહ હિંસક તથા કપટી લોકોને ધિક્કારે છે.

Thou shalt destroy them that speak lies: the LORD abhorreth the bloodthirsty and deceitful man.

7 ૭ પણ હું તો તમારી પુષ્કળ કૃપાથી તમારા ઘરમાં આવીશ; હું તમારી બીક રાખીને તમારા પવિત્રસ્થાન તરફ ફરીને ભજન કરીશ.

But as for me, in the multitude of thy lovingkindness will I come into thy house: in thy fear will I worship toward thy holy temple.

8 ૮ હે પ્રભુ, મારા શત્રુઓના કારણથી તમે તમારા ન્યાયીપણામાં મને ચલાવો; મારી આગળ તમારો માર્ગ સીધા કરો.

Lead me, O LORD, in thy righteousness because of mine enemies; make thy way plain before my face.

9 ૯ કેમ કે તેઓના મુખમાં કંઈ સત્ય નથી; તેઓનાં અંતઃકરણોમાં નરી દુષ્ટતા છે; તેઓનું ગળું ઉઘાડી કબર છે; તેઓ પોતાની જીભે ખુશામત કરે છે.

For there is no faithfulness in their mouth; their inward part is very wickedness: their throat is an open sepulchre; they flatter with their tongue.

10 ૧૦ હે ઈશ્વર, તેઓને દોષિત જાહેર કરો; તેઓ પોતાની જ યુક્તિઓમાં ફસાઈ પડો! તેઓના પુષ્કળ અપરાધોને લીધે તેઓને દૂર કરો, કેમ કે તેઓએ તમારી વિરુદ્ધ બંડ કર્યું છે.

Hold them guilty, O God; let them fall by their own counsels: thrust them out in the multitude of their transgressions; for they have rebelled against thee.

11 ૧૧ પણ જેઓએ તમારા પર ભરોસો રાખ્યો છે તેઓ સર્વ આનંદ કરશે; તમે તેઓને બચાવ્યા છે માટે તેઓ સદા હર્ષનાદ કરશે; તમારા નામ પર પ્રેમ રાખનારા તમારામાં હર્ષ પામશે.

But let all those that put their trust in thee rejoice, let them ever shout for joy, because thou defendest them: let them also that love thy name be joyful in thee.

12 ૧૨ કેમ કે, હે યહોવાહ, તમે ન્યાયીને આશીર્વાદ આપશો; તમે ઢાલથી તેમ મહેરબાનીથી તેને ઘેરી લેશો.

For thou wilt bless the righteous; O LORD, thou wilt compass him with favour as with a shield.
