ગીતશાસ્ત્ર 47

1 ૧ મુખ્ય ગવૈયાને માટે; કોરાના દીકરાઓનું ગીત. હે સર્વ લોકો, તાળી પાડો; આનંદથી મોટા અવાજે ઈશ્વરની સ્તુતિ કરો.

You people all [over the world], clap your hands for joy! Shout joyfully to [praise] God!

2 ૨ કારણ કે પરાત્પર યહોવાહ ભયાવહ છે; તે આખી પૃથ્વીના રાજાધિરાજ છે.

Yahweh, who is much greater than any other god, is awesome; he is the king who rules over all the world!

3 ૩ તે આપણા તાબામાં લોકોને તથા આપણા પગ નીચે વિદેશીઓને હરાવીને મૂકશે.

He enabled us to defeat [the armies of] the people-groups [that lived in Canaan].

4 ૪ તેમણે આપણા માટે આપણો વારસો પસંદ કર્યો છે, એટલે તેમણે, પોતાના વહાલા યાકૂબની ઉત્તમતા પસંદ કરી છે. (સેલાહ)

He chose for us this land where we now live; we Israeli people [MTY], whom he loves, are proud that we own this land.

5 ૫ ઈશ્વર વિજયના પોકારસહિત, યહોવાહ રણશિંગડાના અવાજસહિત ચઢી ગયા છે.

God has gone up [into his temple]. The people shouted joyfully and blew trumpets as Yahweh went up.

6 ૬ ઈશ્વરનાં સ્તોત્રો ગાઓ, સ્તોત્રો ગાઓ; આપણા રાજાનાં સ્તોત્રો ગાઓ, સ્તોત્રો ગાઓ.

Sing songs to praise our God! Sing to praise him [DOU]! Sing to God, our king!

7 ૭ કેમ કે ઈશ્વર આખી પૃથ્વીના રાજા છે; સમજદારીથી તેમની પ્રશંસાનાં ગીતો ગાઓ.

God is the one who rules over everything in the world; sing a psalm to him!

8 ૮ ઈશ્વર વિદેશીઓ પર રાજ કરે છે; ઈશ્વર પોતાના પવિત્ર સિંહાસન પર બિરાજમાન છે.

God sits on his sacred throne as he rules over the people of [all] ethnic groups.

9 ૯ લોકોના રાજકુમારો એકત્ર થયા છે ઇબ્રાહિમના ઈશ્વરના લોકોની સાથે બધા ભેગા થયા છે; કેમ કે પૃથ્વીની સર્વ ઢાલો ઈશ્વરની છે; તે સર્વોચ્ય છે.

The rulers of those people-groups gather as God’s people, the people [descended] from Abraham, [do]. But God has more power than the weapons/shields [of all the kings] on the earth; (he is greatly honored/people honor him) everywhere.
