ગીતશાસ્ત્ર 32

1 ૧ દાઉદનું (ગીત). માસ્કીલ. જેનું ઉલ્લંઘન માફ થયું છે તથા જેનું પાપ ઢંકાઈ ગયું છે, તે આશીર્વાદિત છે.

David’s An Instructive Psalm. How happy is he whose transgression is forgiven! whose sin is pardoned!

2 ૨ જેને યહોવાહ દોષિત ગણતા નથી અને જેના આત્મામાં કંઈ કપટ નથી, તે આશીર્વાદિત છે.

How happy the son of earth, to whom Yahweh will not reckon iniquity! and in whose spirit is no guile!

3 ૩ જ્યારે હું છાનો રહ્યો, ત્યારે આખો દિવસ છાના રુદનથી મારાં હાડકાં જીર્ણ થયાં.

When I kept silence, my bones became worn out, Through my groaning all the day;

4 ૪ કેમ કે રાતદિવસ તમારો હાથ મારા પર ભારે હતો. જેમ ઉનાળાંની ગરમીમાં જળ સુકાઈ જાય છે, તેમ મારી શક્તિ હણાઈ ગઈ હતી. (સેલાહ)

For, day and night, heavy upon me, was thy hand, —Changed was my life-sap into the drought of summer. (Selah)

5 ૫ મેં મારાં પાપ તમારી સમક્ષ કબૂલ કર્યાં અને મારો અન્યાય મેં સંતાડ્યો નથી. મેં કહ્યું, “હું મારાં પાપો યહોવાહ સમક્ષ કબૂલ કરીશ.” અને તમે મારાં પાપોની ક્ષમા આપી. (સેલાહ)

My sin, would I own unto thee, and, mine iniquity, not hide, I said, I will confess my transgressions unto Yahweh, And, thou, didst forgive the iniquity of my sin. (Selah)

6 ૬ તે માટે જરૂરના સમયે દરેક ભક્ત તમારી પ્રાર્થના કરે. પછી જ્યારે ઘણા પાણીની રેલ ચઢે, ત્યારે તે તેને પહોંચશે નહિ.

For this cause, will every man of lovingkindness pray unto thee, in time to obtain, —Surely, in the overflow of many waters, unto him, shall they not reach.

7 ૭ તમે મારી સંતાવાની જગ્યા છો; તમે મને મારા સંકટમાંથી ઉગારશો. તમે મારી આસપાસ વિજયનાં ગીતો ગવડાવશો. (સેલાહ)

Thou, art a hiding-place for me, From distress, wilt thou preserve me, —With shouts of deliverance, wilt thou compass me about. (Selah)

8 ૮ કયે માર્ગે તારે ચાલવું તે હું તને શીખવીશ તથા બતાવીશ. મારી નજર હું તારા પર રાખીને તને બોધ આપીશ.

I will make thee discreet, I will point out to thee the way which thou must go, I will fix upon thee mine eye.

9 ૯ ઘોડા તથા ખચ્ચર જેને કંઈ સમજણ નથી, જેને કાબૂમાં રાખવા માટે ચોકડા તથા લગામની જરૂર છે, નહિ તો તું જ્યાં લઈ જવા ચાહે ત્યાં તેઓ આવી ન શકે, માટે તેઓના જેવો અણસમજુ ન થા.

Do not ye become like a horse, like a mule, without discernment, —With the bit and bridle of his mouth, [hast thou] to restrain him, —He will not come near unto thee.

10 ૧૦ દુષ્ટોને ઘણી તકલીફો સહન કરવી પડે છે પણ જેઓ યહોવાહ પર ભરોસો રાખે છે, તેઓ તો તેમની કૃપાથી ઘેરાશે.

Many pains, hath the lawless one, —But, he that trusteth in Yahweh, Lovingkindness, shall compass him about.

11 ૧૧ હે ન્યાયીઓ, યહોવાહમાં આનંદ કરો તથા હરખાઓ; હે શુદ્ધ હૃદયના માણસો, તમે સર્વ હર્ષના પોકાર કરો.

Rejoice in Yahweh and exult, O ye righteous, Yea, shout in triumph, all ye upright in heart!
