ગીતશાસ્ત્ર 30

1 ૧ ઘરની પ્રતિષ્ઠા કરતી વખતનું ગાયન. દાઉદનું (ગીત). હે યહોવાહ, હું તમને મોટા માનીશ, કારણ કે તમે મને ઊંચો કર્યો છે અને તમે મારા શત્રુઓને મારા પર હર્ષ પામવા દીધા નથી.

“A psalm, a song at the dedication of the temple, of David.” I will extol thee, O Lord; for thou hast lifted me up, and hast not suffered my enemies to rejoice over me.

2 ૨ હે યહોવાહ, મારા ઈશ્વર, મેં તમને સહાયને માટે અરજ કરી અને તમે મને સાજો કર્યો છે.

O Lord my God, I cried loudly unto thee, and thou hast healed me.

3 ૩ હે યહોવાહ, તમે મારા જીવને શેઓલમાંથી કાઢી લાવ્યા છો; તમે મને જીવતો રાખ્યો છે અને મને કબરમાં પડવા દીધો નથી. (Sheol h7585)

O Lord, thou hast brought up from the nether world my soul: thou hast kept me alive, that I should not go down to the pit. (Sheol h7585)

4 ૪ હે યહોવાહના વિશ્વાસુ ભક્તો, તેમનાં સ્તોત્ર ગાઓ! તેમના પવિત્ર નામની આભારસ્તુતિ કરો.

Sing unto the Lord, O ye his pious ones, and give thanks to the memorial of his holiness.

5 ૫ તેમનો કોપ તો કેવળ ક્ષણિક છે; પણ તેમની કૃપા જીવનભર છે. રુદન રાત પર્યંત રહે છે, પણ સવારમાં હર્ષાનંદ થાય છે.

For his anger is momentary, [but] life is in his favor: in the evening [cometh] weeping to stay for a night, but in the morning, there is joyful song.

6 ૬ હું નિર્ભય હતો, ત્યારે મેં કહ્યું હતું, “હું કદી ડગીશ નહિ.”

And I had said indeed in my prosperity, I shall never be moved.

7 ૭ હે યહોવાહ, તમે મારા પર કૃપા કરીને મને પર્વતની જેમ સ્થિર બનાવ્યો છે; પણ જ્યારે તમે મારાથી મુખ ફેરવ્યું, ત્યારે હું ભયભીત થયો.

Lord, by thy favor hadst thou caused my mountain to stand in strength: thou didst hide thy face, [and] I was terrified.

8 ૮ હે યહોવાહ, મેં તમને પોકાર કર્યો અને મેં મારા પ્રભુને વિનંતી કરી!

Unto thee, O Lord, will I call; and unto the Lord will I make supplication.

9 ૯ જો હું કબરમાં જાઉં તો મારા મરણથી તમને શો લાભ થાય? શું ધૂળ તમારી સ્તુતિ કરશે? શું તે તમારું સત્ય પ્રગટ કરશે?

What profit is there in my blood, when I go down to the grave? Shall the dust thank thee? shall it announce thy truth?

10 ૧૦ હે યહોવાહ, સાંભળો અને મારા પર દયા કરો! હે યહોવાહ, તમે મારા સહાયકારી થાઓ.

Hear, O Lord, and be gracious unto me: Lord, be thou a helper unto me.

11 ૧૧ તમે મારા શોકને નૃત્યમાં ફેરવ્યું છે; તમે મારા શોકનાં વસ્ત્રો ઉતારી લઈને મને ઉત્સાહ રૂપી વસ્ત્રો પહેરાવી દીધાં.

Thou hast changed my mourning into dancing for me; thou hast loosened my sack-cloth, and girded me with joy.

12 ૧૨ જેથી મારું ગૌરવી હૃદય તમારાં સ્તોત્ર ગાય અને શાંત રહે નહિ; હું આનંદપૂર્વક, યહોવાહ મારા ઈશ્વરની સદાકાળ આભારસ્તુતિ કરીશ!

To the end that my glorious soul may sing praise to thee, and never be silent. O Lord my God, for ever will I give thanks unto thee.
