ગીતશાસ્ત્ર 20

1 ૧ મુખ્ય ગવૈયાને માટે. દાઉદનું ગીત. સંકટના સમયે યહોવાહ તારી મદદ કરો; યાકૂબના ઈશ્વરનું નામ તારું રક્ષણ કરો.

To the Chief Musician. A Melody of David. Yahweh answer thee, in the day of distress, The Name of the God of Jacob give thee safety;

2 ૨ પવિત્રસ્થાનમાંથી તને સહાય મોકલો અને સિયોનમાંથી તને બળ આપો.

Send thy help out of the sanctuary, and, out of Zion, sustain thee;

3 ૩ તે તારાં સર્વ અર્પણોનું સ્મરણ કરો અને તારું દહનીયાર્પણ માન્ય કરો.

Remember every present of thine, and, thine ascending-sacrifice, esteem. (Selah)

4 ૪ તે તારા હૃદયની ઇચ્છા પ્રમાણે આપો અને તારી સર્વ યોજનાઓ પૂરી કરો.

Give thee according to thy heart, and, all thy purposes, fulfil.

5 ૫ તારા ઉદ્ધારમાં અમે આનંદ માનીશું અને આપણા ઈશ્વરને નામે આપણી ધ્વજાઓ ચઢાવીશું. યહોવાહ તારી સર્વ અરજો સ્વીકારો.

We will shout aloud in thy salvation, and, in the Name of our God, shall we become great, Yahweh fulfil all thy petitions.

6 ૬ હવે હું જાણું છું કે યહોવાહ પોતાના અભિષિક્તને બચાવે છે; તે પોતાના પવિત્ર આકાશમાંથી પોતાના જમણા હાથની તારકશક્તિથી તેને જવાબ આપશે.

Now, do I know that Yahweh, hath saved, his Anointed One, —He answereth him out of his holy heavens, by the mighty saving deeds of his own right hand.

7 ૭ કોઈ રથ પર ભરોસો રાખે છે અને કોઈ ઘોડા પર, પણ આપણે આપણા ઈશ્વર યહોવાહના નામનું સ્મરણ કરીશું.

These, by chariots, and, those, by horses, but, we, by the Name of Yahweh our God, will prevail.

8 ૮ તેઓ નમીને પડી ગયા છે; પણ આપણે ઊઠીને ઊભા થયા છીએ.

They, have bowed down and fallen, but, we, have arisen, and stand upright.

9 ૯ હે યહોવાહ, રાજાને વિજય આપો; જ્યારે અમે વિનંતિ કરીએ, ત્યારે અમને મદદ કરો.

Yahweh, hath saved the king. Answer us, then, on the day when we call.
