ગીતશાસ્ત્ર 147

1 ૧ યહોવાહની સ્તુતિ કરો, કેમ કે આપણા ઈશ્વરનાં સ્તુતિગીતો ગાવાં એ સારું તથા મનોરંજક છે, સ્તુતિ કરવી એ ઘટતું છે.

Praise ye the LORD: for [it is] good to sing praises unto our God; for [it is] pleasant; [and] praise is comely.

2 ૨ યહોવાહ યરુશાલેમને ફરી બાંધે છે; તે ઇઝરાયલનાં વિખેરાઈ ગયેલા લોકોને પાછા એકઠાં કરે છે.

The LORD doth build up Jerusalem: he gathereth together the outcasts of Israel.

3 ૩ હૃદયભંગ થયેલાઓને તે સાજા કરે છે અને તે તેઓના ઘા રુઝવે છે.

He healeth the broken in heart, and bindeth up their wounds.

4 ૪ તે તારાઓની ગણતરી કરે છે; તે તેઓને નામ આપીને બોલાવે છે.

He telleth the number of the stars; he calleth them all by [their] names.

5 ૫ આપણા પ્રભુ કેવા મહાન છે અને ઘણા પરાક્રમી છે; તેમના ડહાપણની કોઈ સીમા નથી.

Great [is] our Lord, and of great power: his understanding [is] infinite.

6 ૬ યહોવાહ નમ્રજનોને ઊંચાં કરે છે; તે દુષ્ટોને જમીનદોસ્ત કરી નાખે છે.

The LORD lifteth up the meek: he casteth the wicked down to the ground.

7 ૭ યહોવાહનો આભાર માનતાં માનતાં ગાઓ; વીણા સાથે આપણા ઈશ્વરનાં સ્તોત્ર ગાઓ.

Sing unto the LORD with thanksgiving; sing praise upon the harp unto our God:

8 ૮ તે આકાશને વાદળોથી ઢાંકે છે અને પૃથ્વીને માટે તે વરસાદ તૈયાર કરી રાખે છે, તે પહાડો પર ઘાસ ઉગાડે છે.

Who covereth the heaven with clouds, who prepareth rain for the earth, who maketh grass to grow upon the mountains.

9 ૯ પશુઓને તેમ જ પોકાર કરતાં કાગડાનાં બચ્ચાંને પણ તે ખોરાક આપે છે.

He giveth to the beast his food, [and] to the young ravens which cry.

10 ૧૦ તે ઘોડાના બળથી પ્રસન્ન થતા નથી; તે માણસના પગના જોરથી પણ ખુશ થતા નથી.

He delighteth not in the strength of the horse: he taketh not pleasure in the legs of a man.

11 ૧૧ જેઓ તેમનો ભય રાખે છે અને તેમની કૃપાની આશા રાખે છે, તેમના પર યહોવાહ ખુશ રહે છે.

The LORD taketh pleasure in them that fear him, in those that hope in his mercy.

12 ૧૨ હે યરુશાલેમ, યહોવાહની સ્તુતિ કર; હે સિયોન, તારા ઈશ્વરની સ્તુતિ કર.

Praise the LORD, O Jerusalem; praise thy God, O Zion.

13 ૧૩ કારણ કે તેમણે તારાં દ્વારોની ભૂંગળો મજબૂત કરી છે; તેમણે તારામાં તારાં સંતાનોને આશીર્વાદિત કર્યાં છે.

For he hath strengthened the bars of thy gates; he hath blessed thy children within thee.

14 ૧૪ તે તારી સરહદમાં શાંતિ સ્થાપે છે; સારા ઘઉંથી તે તારા કોઠારોને ભરપૂર કરે છે.

He maketh peace [in] thy borders, [and] filleth thee with the finest of the wheat.

15 ૧૫ તે પોતાની આજ્ઞા પૃથ્વી પર મોકલે છે; તેમની આજ્ઞા બહુ ઝડપથી દોડે છે.

He sendeth forth his commandment [upon] earth: his word runneth very swiftly.

16 ૧૬ તે ઊનના જેવો બરફ મોકલે છે; તે હવામાંથી રાખ જેવા કરાની વૃષ્ટિ કરે છે.

He giveth snow like wool: he scattereth the hoarfrost like ashes.

17 ૧૭ રોટલીના કટકા જેવા કરા વરસાવે છે; તેની ટાઢ આગળ કોણ ઊભું રહી શકે?

He casteth forth his ice like morsels: who can stand before his cold?

18 ૧૮ તે પોતાની આજ્ઞા મોકલીને તેમને ઓગળાવે છે; તે પોતાના પવનને ફૂંકાવાની આજ્ઞા કરે છે અને પાણીઓ વહેતાં થાય છે.

He sendeth out his word, and melteth them: he causeth his wind to blow, [and] the waters flow.

19 ૧૯ તેમણે યાકૂબને તેમનાં વચનો પ્રગટ કર્યાં, તેમણે તેમના વિધિઓ અને નિયમો ઇઝરાયલને પણ પ્રગટ કર્યા.

He sheweth his word unto Jacob, his statutes and his judgments unto Israel.

20 ૨૦ અન્ય કોઈ પ્રજા સાથે તેમણે આ પ્રમાણે કર્યું નથી; તેઓએ તેમનાં ન્યાયવચનો જાણ્યાં નથી. યહોવાહની સ્તુતિ થાઓ.

He hath not dealt so with any nation: and [as for his] judgments, they have not known them. Praise ye the LORD.
