ગીતશાસ્ત્ર 142

1 ૧ દાઉદ ગુફામાં હતો તે વખતનું તેનું માસ્કીલ; પ્રાર્થના. હું મોટા અવાજે યહોવાહને વિનંતિ કરું છું; ઊંચે સ્વરે હું યહોવાહને વિનંતી કરું છું.

An instruction of David; when he was in the cave: a prayer. I cry unto Jehovah with my voice: with my voice unto Jehovah do I make supplication.

2 ૨ તેમની આગળ મારું દુઃખ ઠાલવું છું; હું તેમની આગળ મારી મુશ્કેલીઓ પ્રગટ કરું છું.

I pour out my plaint before him; I shew before him my trouble.

3 ૩ જ્યારે મારો આત્મા નિર્બળ થાય છે, ત્યારે તમે મારા માર્ગો જાણો છો. જે રસ્તે હું ચાલું છું તેમાં તેઓએ મારે માટે પાશ સંતાડી મૂક્યો છે.

When my spirit was overwhelmed within me, then thou knewest my path. In the way wherein I walked have they hidden a snare for me.

4 ૪ હું મારી જમણી બાજુએ જોઉં છું, તો ત્યાં મારી સંભાળ લેનાર કોઈ નથી. મારું નાસવું નિષ્ફળ ગયું છે; મારા જીવનની સંભાળ લેનાર કોઈ નથી.

Look on the right hand and see; there is no man that knoweth me: refuge hath failed me; no man careth for my soul.

5 ૫ હે યહોવાહ, મેં તમને વિનંતિ કરીને કહ્યું, “તમે જ મારો આશ્રય છો, મારી જિંદગીપર્યંત તમે મારો વારસો છો.

I cried unto thee, Jehovah; I said, Thou art my refuge, my portion in the land of the living.

6 ૬ મારો પોકાર સાંભળો, કેમ કે હું બહુ દુઃખી થઈ ગયો છું; મને સતાવનારાના હાથમાંથી છોડાવો, કેમ કે તેઓ મારા કરતા બળવાન છે.

Attend unto my cry, for I am brought very low; deliver me from my persecutors, for they are stronger than I.

7 ૭ મારા આત્માને બંદીવાસમાંથી બહાર લાવો, કે જેથી હું તમારા નામનો આભાર માની શકું. ન્યાયીઓ મારી આસપાસ ફરી વળશે કેમ કે તમે મારા માટે ભલા છો.

Bring my soul out of prison, that I may celebrate thy name. The righteous shall surround me, because thou dealest bountifully with me.
