ગીતશાસ્ત્ર 138

1 ૧ દાઉદનું (ગીત.) હું મારા ખરા હૃદયથી તમારી આભારસ્તુતિ કરીશ; હું દેવોની આગળ તમારાં સ્તોત્ર ગાઈશ.

David’s. I will give thee thanks with all my heart, Before the messengers of God, will I praise thee in song:

2 ૨ હું તમારા પવિત્રસ્થાન તરફ ફરીને દંડવત્ પ્રણામ કરીશ તમારી કૃપા તથા સત્યતાને લીધે હું તમારા નામનો આભાર માનીશ.

I will bow down towards thy holy temple, and thank thy Name, for thy lovingkindness and for thy faithfulness, For thou hast magnified, above all thy Name, thy word!

3 ૩ મેં તમને પ્રાર્થના કરી, તે જ દિવસે તમે મને ઉત્તર આપ્યો; તમે મારા આત્માને ઉત્તેજન આપીને બળવાન કર્યો છે.

In the day I cried unto thee, then didst thou answer me, and didst excite me, in my soul, mightily.

4 ૪ હે યહોવાહ, પૃથ્વીનાં સર્વ રાજાઓએ તમારા મુખનાં વચન સાંભળ્યાં છે, તેથી તેઓ તમારી સ્તુતિ કરશે.

All the kings of the earth, will thank thee, O Yahweh, when they have heard the sayings of thy mouth;

5 ૫ તેઓ યહોવાહનાં કાર્યો વિષે ગીત ગાશે, કારણ કે યહોવાહનો મહિમા મહાન છે.

And they will sing of the ways of Yahweh, That great is the glory of Yahweh:

6 ૬ જો કે યહોવાહ સર્વોચ્ચ છે, તોપણ તે દિન લોકોની કાળજી લે છે, પણ ગર્વિષ્ઠોને તો તે દૂરથી જ ઓળખે છે.

Though lofty is Yahweh, yet, the lowly, he regardeth, but, the haughty—afar off, doth he acknowledge.

7 ૭ જો મારે સંકટમાં ચાલવું પડશે, તો પણ તમે મને જિવાડશો; મારા શત્રુઓના ક્રોધની સામે તમે તમારો હાથ લાંબો કરશો અને તમારો જમણો હાથ મારો બચાવ કરશે.

Though I walk in the midst of distress, thou wilt give me life, —Because of the anger of my foes, thou wilt thrust forth thy hand, and thy right hand, will save me:

8 ૮ યહોવાહ અંત સુધી મારી સાથે છે; હે યહોવાહ, તમારી કૃપા સદાકાળ ટકે છે; તમારા હાથથી બનાવેલા તમારા લોકોનો ત્યાગ કરશો નહિ.

Yahweh, will carry through my cause, —O Yahweh! thy lovingkindness, is age-abiding, The works of thine own hands, do not thou desert.
