ગીતશાસ્ત્ર 126

1 ૧ ચઢવાનું ગીત. જ્યારે યહોવાહ બંદીવાસમાં પડેલાઓને સિયોનમાં પાછા લાવ્યા, ત્યારે અમે સ્વપ્ન જોતાં હોઈએ એવું લાગ્યું.

A Song of the Ascents. In Jehovah's turning back [to] the captivity of Zion, We have been as dreamers.

2 ૨ ત્યારે અમારું મુખ હાસ્યથી ભરાઈ ગયું અને અમારી જીભ ગાયન કરવા લાગી. ત્યારે તેઓએ લોકોની વચ્ચે કહ્યું, “યહોવાહે તેઓને માટે મહાન કૃત્યો કર્યાં છે.”

Then filled [with] laughter is our mouth, And our tongue [with] singing, Then do they say among nations, 'Jehovah did great things with these.'

3 ૩ યહોવાહે અમારે માટે મહાન કામ કર્યાં છે; અમે કેટલા ખુશ છીએ!

Jehovah did great things with us, We have been joyful.

4 ૪ નેગેબના ઝરણાંની જેમ, હે યહોવાહ, અમારી સંપત્તિ પુનઃસ્થાપિત કરો.

Turn again, O Jehovah, [to] our captivity, As streams in the south.

5 ૫ જેઓ આંસુ પાડતાં પાડતાં વાવે છે, તેઓ હર્ષનાદસહિત લણશે.

Those sowing in tears, with singing do reap,

6 ૬ જે કોઈ મુઠ્ઠીભર બીજ લઈને રડતાં રડતાં વાવવા જાય છે, તે પોતાની સાથે પૂળીઓ લઈને આનંદ સાથે પાછો આવશે.

Whoso goeth on and weepeth, Bearing the basket of seed, Surely cometh in with singing, bearing his sheaves!
