ગીતશાસ્ત્ર 118

1 ૧ યહોવાહનો આભાર માનો, કેમ કે તે ઉત્તમ છે, તેમની કૃપા સર્વકાળ ટકે છે.

Give praise to Lord, for he is good: for his mercy endureth for ever.

2 ૨ ઇઝરાયલ, એમ કહો, “તેમની કૃપા સર્વકાળ ટકે છે.”

Let Israel now say that he is good: that his mercy endureth for ever.

3 ૩ હારુનનું કુટુંબ કહો, “તેમની કૃપા સર્વકાળ ટકે છે.”

Let the house of Aaron now say, that his mercy endureth for ever.

4 ૪ યહોવાહના વફાદાર અનુયાયીઓ કહો, “તેમની કૃપા સર્વકાળ ટકે છે.”

Let them that fear the Lord now say, that his mercy endureth for ever.

5 ૫ મેં મારા સંકટમાં યહોવાહને વિનંતી કરી; યહોવાહે ઉત્તર આપીને મને મુક્ત કર્યો.

In my trouble I called upon the Lord: and the Lord heard me, and enlarged me.

6 ૬ યહોવાહ મારા પક્ષમાં છે; હું બીવાનો નથી; માણસ મને શું કરનાર છે?

The Lord is my helper, I will not fear what man can do unto me.

7 ૭ મારા મદદગાર તરીકે યહોવાહ મારી પાસે છે; હું મારા શત્રુઓને, કે જેઓ મને ધિક્કારે છે, તેઓને પરાજિત થતાં જોઈશ.

The Lord is my helper: and I will look over my enemies.

8 ૮ માણસ પર ભરોસો રાખવા કરતાં યહોવાહ પર ભરોસો રાખવો વધારે સારો છે.

It is good to confide in the Lord, rather than to have confidence in man.

9 ૯ રાજાઓ પર ભરોસો રાખવા કરતાં યહોવાહ પર આધાર રાખવો વધારે સારો છે.

It is good to trust in the Lord, rather than to trust in princes.

10 ૧૦ સર્વ પ્રજાઓએ મને ઘેરી લીધો છે; યહોવાહને નામે મેં તેઓને કાપી નાખ્યા.

All nations compassed me about; and in the name of the Lord I have been revenged on them.

11 ૧૧ તેઓએ મને ઘેરી લીધો છે, હા, તેઓએ મને ઘેરી લીધો છે; યહોવાહને નામે મેં તેઓને કાપી નાખ્યા.

Surrounding me they compassed me about: and in the name of the Lord I have been revenged on them.

12 ૧૨ તેઓએ મને મધમાખીઓની જેમ ઘેરી લીધો હતો; તેઓ સળગતા કાંટાની જેમ તરત જ હોલવાઈ ગયા છે; યહોવાહને નામે મેં તેઓને કાપી નાખ્યા.

They surrounded me like bees, and they burned like fire among thorns: and in the name of the Lord I was revenged on them.

13 ૧૩ નીચે પાડી નાખવાને માટે તેઓએ મારા પર હુમલો કર્યો, પણ યહોવાહે મને મદદ કરી.

Being pushed I was overturned that I might fall: but the Lord supported me.

14 ૧૪ યહોવાહ મારું સામર્થ્ય તથા મારો આનંદ છે અને તે જ મારા છોડાવનાર થયા છે.

The Lord is my strength and my praise: and he is become my salvation.

15 ૧૫ ન્યાયીઓના તંબુમાં વિજયોત્સવના હર્ષનાદ સંભળાય છે; યહોવાહનો જમણો હાથ વિજય આપનાર છે.

The voice of rejoicing and of salvation is in the tabernacles of the just.

16 ૧૬ યહોવાહનો જમણો હાથ ઊંચો થયેલો છે; યહોવાહનો જમણો હાથ વિજય આપનાર છે.

The right hand of the Lord hath wrought strength: the right hand of the Lord hath exulted me: the right hand of the Lord hath wrought strength.

17 ૧૭ હું મરણ પામીશ નહિ, પણ જીવતો રહીશ અને યહોવાહનાં કૃત્યોને પ્રગટ કરીશ.

I shall not die, but live: and shall declare the works of the Lord.

18 ૧૮ યહોવાહે મને ભારે શિક્ષા કરી છે; પણ તેમણે મને મરણને સ્વાધીન કર્યો નથી.

The Lord chastising hath chastised me: but he hath not delivered me over to death.

19 ૧૯ મારે માટે ન્યાયીપણાનું પ્રવેશદ્વાર ઉઘાડો; હું તેમાં પ્રવેશ કરીશ અને હું યહોવાહનો આભાર માનીશ.

Open ye to me the gates of justice: I will go into them, and give praise to the Lord.

20 ૨૦ યહોવાહનું દ્વાર આ છે; એમાં થઈને ન્યાયીઓ અંદર પ્રવેશ કરશે.

This is the gate of the Lord, the just shall enter into it.

21 ૨૧ હું તમારો આભાર માનીશ, કેમ કે તમે મને ઉત્તર આપ્યો છે અને તમે મારો ઉદ્ધાર કર્યો છો.

I will give glory to thee because thou hast heard me: and art become my salvation.

22 ૨૨ જે પથ્થરને ઘર બાંધનારાઓએ નકાર્યો હતો; તે જ ખૂણાનો મુખ્ય પથ્થર થયો છે.

The stone which the builders rejected; the same is become the head of the corner.

23 ૨૩ આ કાર્ય તો યહોવાહથી થયું છે; આપણી દ્રષ્ટિમાં તે આશ્ચર્યકારક છે.

This is the Lord’s doing: and it is wonderful in our eyes.

24 ૨૪ આ દિવસ યહોવાહે આપણને આપ્યો છે; તેમાં આપણે આનંદોત્સવ કરીએ.

This is the day which the Lord hath made: let us be glad and rejoice therein.

25 ૨૫ હે યહોવાહ, કૃપા કરી હવે અમને વિજય આપો.

O Lord, save me: O Lord, give good success.

26 ૨૬ યહોવાહને નામે જે આવે છે તે આશીર્વાદિત છે; અમે તમને યહોવાહના ઘરમાંથી આશીર્વાદ આપ્યો છે.

Blessed be he that cometh in the name Lord. We have blessed you out of the house of the Lord.

27 ૨૭ યહોવાહ તે જ ઈશ્વર છે અને તેમણે આપણને અજવાળું આપ્યું છે; વેદીનાં શિંગોની સાથે દોરડાંથી બલિદાનને બાંધો.

The Lord is God, and he hath shone upon us. Appoint a solemn day, with shady boughs, even to the horn of the alter.

28 ૨૮ તમે મારા ઈશ્વર છો અને હું તમારો આભાર માનીશ; તમે મારા ઈશ્વર છો; હું તમને મહાન માનીશ.

Thou art my God, and I will praise thee: thou art my God, and I will exalt thee. I will praise thee, because thou hast heard me, and art become my salvation.

29 ૨૯ યહોવાહનો આભાર માનો; કેમ કે તે ઉત્તમ છે; તેમની કૃપા સર્વકાળ ટકે છે.

O praise ye the Lord, for he is good: for his mercy endureth for ever.
