ગીતશાસ્ત્ર 116

1 ૧ હું યહોવાહને પ્રેમ કરું છું કેમ કે તેમણે મારો અવાજ અને મારી વિનંતી સાંભળી છે.

I love the Lord, because he hath heard my voyce and my prayers.

2 ૨ તેમણે મારી તરફ પોતાના કાન ધર્યા છે, મારા જીવનપર્યંત હું તેમની પ્રાર્થના કરીશ.

For he hath inclined his eare vnto me, whe I did call vpon him in my dayes.

3 ૩ મરણની જાળમાં હું સપડાઈ ગયો હતો અને મને લાગતું હતું જાણે હું શેઓલમાં હોઉં; મને સંકટ તથા શોક મળ્યાં હતાં. (Sheol h7585)

When the snares of death copassed me, and the griefes of the graue caught me: when I founde trouble and sorowe. (Sheol h7585)

4 ૪ ત્યારે મેં યહોવાહના નામનો પોકાર કર્યો: “હે યહોવાહ, કૃપા કરીને મારા આત્માને છોડાવો.”

Then I called vpon the Name of the Lord, saying, I beseech thee, O Lord, deliuer my soule.

5 ૫ યહોવાહ ન્યાયી તથા કૃપાળુ છે; આપણા ઈશ્વર ખરેખરા માયાળુ છે.

The Lord is mercifull and righteous, and our God is full of compassion.

6 ૬ યહોવાહ ભોળા માણસોનું રક્ષણ કરે છે; હું છેક લાચાર બની ગયો હતો અને તેમણે મને બચાવ્યો.

The Lord preserueth the simple: I was in miserie and he saued me.

7 ૭ હે મારા આત્મા, તારા વિશ્રામસ્થાનમાં પાછો આવ; કારણ કે યહોવાહ તારી સાથે ઉદારતાથી વર્ત્યા છે.

Returne vnto thy rest, O my soule: for the Lord hath bene beneficiall vnto thee,

8 ૮ કેમ કે તમે મારા પ્રાણને મૃત્યુથી, મારી આંખોને આંસુથી અને મારા પગોને લથડવાથી બચાવ્યા છે.

Because thou hast deliuered my soule from death, mine eyes from teares, and my feete from falling.

9 ૯ હું જીવલોકમાં યહોવાહની સેવા કરવાનું ચાલુ રાખીશ.

I shall walke before the Lord in the lande of the liuing.

10 ૧૦ મને તેમનામાં વિશ્વાસ છે માટે હું આમ બોલું છું, “હું ઘણો દુઃખી થઈ ગયો છું.”

I beleeued, therefore did I speake: for I was sore troubled.

11 ૧૧ મારા ગભરાટમાં મેં કહ્યું, “સર્વ માણસો જૂઠા છે.”

I said in my feare, All men are lyers.

12 ૧૨ હું યહોવાહના મારા પર થયેલા સર્વ ઉપકારોનો તેમને શો બદલો આપું?

What shall I render vnto the Lord for all his benefites toward me?

13 ૧૩ હું ઉદ્ધારનો પ્યાલો લઈને, યહોવાહના નામને વિનંતિ કરીશ.

I will take the cup of saluation, and call vpon the Name of the Lord.

14 ૧૪ યહોવાહની આગળ મેં જે સંકલ્પો કર્યા છે, તે હું તેમના સર્વ લોકોની સમક્ષ પૂર્ણ કરીશ.

I will pay my vowes vnto the Lord, euen nowe in the presence of all his people.

15 ૧૫ યહોવાહની દ્રષ્ટિમાં તેમના ભક્તોનું મરણ કિંમતી છે.

Precious in the sight of the Lord is the death of his Saintes.

16 ૧૬ હે યહોવાહ, નિશ્ચે, હું તમારો સેવક છું; હું તમારો જ સેવક છું, તમારી સેવિકાનો દીકરો; તમે મારાં બંધન છોડ્યાં છે.

Beholde, Lord: for I am thy seruant, I am thy seruant, and the sonne of thine handmaide: thou hast broken my bondes.

17 ૧૭ હું તમારા માટે આભારસ્તુતિનાં અર્પણો ચઢાવીશ અને હું યહોવાહના નામે પોકારીશ.

I will offer to thee a sacrifice of prayse, and will call vpon the Name of the Lord.

18 ૧૮ યહોવાહની સમક્ષ લીધેલા સંકલ્પો જે મેં તેમના સર્વ લોકોની સમક્ષ લીધા છે, તે પાળીશ.

I will pay my vowes vnto the Lord, euen nowe in the presence of all his people,

19 ૧૯ હે યરુશાલેમ, તારી અંદર, યહોવાહના ઘરનાં આંગણામાં યહોવાહની સ્તુતિ થાઓ.

In the courtes of ye Lords house, euen in the middes of thee, O Ierusalem. Praise ye the Lord.
