ગીતશાસ્ત્ર 108

1 ૧ ગાયન: દાઉદનું ગીત. હે ઈશ્વર, મેં મારું હૃદય દૃઢ કર્યું છે; હું મારા અંતઃકરણથી ગીત ગાઈશ અને સ્તુતિ કરીશ.

A Song [or] Psalm of David. O God, my heart is fixed; I will sing and give praise, even with my glory.

2 ૨ વીણા, સિતાર, જાગો; હું જાતે પરોઢિયાને જગાડીશ.

Awake, psaltery and harp: I [myself] will awake early.

3 ૩ હે યહોવાહ, હું લોકોમાં તમારો આભાર માનીશ; પ્રજાઓમાં હું તમારાં સ્તોત્ર ગાઈશ.

I will praise thee, O LORD, among the people: and I will sing praises unto thee among the nations.

4 ૪ કારણ કે તમારી કૃપા આકાશો કરતાં ઊંચી છે; અને તમારું વિશ્વાસુપણું આભ સુધી પહોંચે છે.

For thy mercy [is] great above the heavens: and thy truth [reacheth] unto the clouds.

5 ૫ હે ઈશ્વર, તમે આકાશો કરતાં ઊંચા મનાઓ અને તમારું ગૌરવ આખી પૃથ્વી કરતાં ઊંચું મનાઓ.

Be thou exalted, O God, above the heavens: and thy glory above all the earth;

6 ૬ કે જેથી જેઓ તમને પ્રેમ કરે છે તેઓનો છૂટકો થાય, તમારા જમણા હાથથી અમને છોડાવો અને ઉત્તર આપો.

That thy beloved may be delivered: save [with] thy right hand, and answer me.

7 ૭ ઈશ્વર પોતાની પવિત્રતાએ બોલ્યા છે; “હું હરખાઈશ; હું શખેમના ભાગ કરીશ અને સુક્કોથની ખીણ વહેંચી આપીશ.

God hath spoken in his holiness; I will rejoice, I will divide Shechem, and mete out the valley of Succoth.

8 ૮ ગિલ્યાદ મારું છે અને મનાશ્શા મારું છે; એફ્રાઇમ મારા માથાનો ટોપ છે; યહૂદિયા મારો રાજદંડ છે.

Gilead [is] mine; Manasseh [is] mine; Ephraim also [is] the strength of mine head; Judah [is] my lawgiver;

9 ૯ મોઆબ મારા હાથ ધોવાનો કૂંડ છે; અદોમ ઉપર હું મારાં પગરખાં ફેંકીશ; પલિસ્તીઓને કારણે હું વિજયમાં આનંદ કરીશ.

Moab [is] my washpot; over Edom will I cast out my shoe; over Philistia will I triumph.

10 ૧૦ મને કોટબંધ નગરમાં કોણ લઈ જશે? મને અદોમમાં કોણ દોરી જશે?”

Who will bring me into the strong city? who will lead me into Edom?

11 ૧૧ હે ઈશ્વર, શું તમે અમને તરછોડ્યા નથી? તમે અમારા સૈન્યોની સાથે બહાર આવતા નથી.

[Wilt] not [thou], O God, [who] hast cast us off? and wilt not thou, O God, go forth with our hosts?

12 ૧૨ અમને અમારા શત્રુઓ સામે મદદ કરો, કેમ કે માણસની મદદ તો મિથ્યા છે.

Give us help from trouble: for vain [is] the help of man.

13 ૧૩ અમે ઈશ્વરની સહાયથી પરાક્રમો કરીશું; તે જ અમારા શત્રુઓને કચડી નાખશે.

Through God we shall do valiantly: for he [it is that] shall tread down our enemies.
