ગીતશાસ્ત્ર 103

1 ૧ દાઉદનું (ગીત.) હે મારા આત્મા, યહોવાહને સ્તુત્ય માન અને મારા ખરા અંતઃકરણ, તેમના પવિત્ર નામને સ્તુત્ય માન.

Bless, O my soul, Yahweh, —And all that is within me, his holy Name;

2 ૨ હે મારા આત્મા, યહોવાહને સ્તુત્ય માન, અને તેમના સર્વ ઉપકારો તું ભૂલી ન જા.

Bless, O my soul, Yahweh, And forget not all his dealings: —

3 ૩ તે તારાં સઘળાં પાપ માફ કરે છે; અને તારા સર્વ રોગ મટાડે છે.

Who forgiveth all thine iniquity, Who healeth all thy diseases;

4 ૪ તે તારો જીવ નાશથી બચાવે છે; તને કૃપા તથા દયાનો મુગટ પહેરાવે છે.

Who redeemeth, from destruction, thy life, Who crowneth thee, with lovingkindness and compassion:

5 ૫ તે તારા જીવને ઉત્તમ વસ્તુઓથી તૃપ્ત કરે છે જેથી ગરુડની જેમ તારી જુવાની તાજી કરાય છે.

Who satisfieth, with good, thine age, Thy youth, reneweth itself like an eagle.

6 ૬ યહોવાહ જે ઉચિત છે તે કરે છે, અને તે સર્વ જુલમથી લદાયેલાને માટે ન્યાયનાં કૃત્યો કરે છે.

Yahweh is one, who executeth righteousness, Yea vindication for all the oppressed.

7 ૭ તેમણે પોતાના માર્ગો મૂસાને અને પોતાનાં કૃત્યો ઇઝરાયલના વંશજોને જણાવ્યાં.

Who made known his ways unto Moses, unto the sons of Israel, his doings.

8 ૮ યહોવાહ દયાળુ તથા કરુણાળુ છે; તે ધીરજ રાખનાર છે; તે કૃપા કરવામાં મોટા છે.

Compassionate and gracious, is Yahweh, —Slow to anger and abundant in lovingkindness.

9 ૯ તે હંમેશાં શિક્ષા કરશે નહિ; તે હંમેશા ગુસ્સે રહેતા નથી.

Not perpetually, will he contend, Nor age-abidingly, retain anger;

10 ૧૦ તેઓ આપણાં પાપ પ્રમાણે આપણી સાથે વર્ત્યા નથી અથવા આપણા પાપના પ્રમાણમાં તેમણે આપણને બદલો વાળ્યો નથી.

Not according to our sins, hath he dealt with us, Nor according to our iniquities, hath he treated us.

11 ૧૧ કારણ કે જેમ પૃથ્વીથી આકાશ ઊંચું છે, તેમ તેમનો આદર કરનાર પર તેમની કૃપા વિશાળ છે.

For, as the heavens are exalted over the earth, His lovingkindness hath prevailed over them who revere him;

12 ૧૨ પૂર્વ જેટલું પશ્ચિમથી દૂર છે, તેટલાં તેમણે આપણા અપરાધો આપણાથી દૂર કર્યાં છે.

As far as East from West, Hath he put far from us, our transgressions;

13 ૧૩ જેમ પિતા પોતાનાં સંતાનો પર દયાળુ છે, તેમ યહોવાહ પોતાના ભક્તો પર દયાળુ છે.

Like the compassion of a father for his children, Is, the compassion of Yahweh, for them who revere him;

14 ૧૪ કારણ કે તે આપણું બંધારણ જાણે છે; આપણે ધૂળ છીએ એવું તે જાણે છે.

For, he, knoweth how we are formed, He is mindful that, dust, we are.

15 ૧૫ માણસના દિવસો ઘાસ જેવા છે; ખેતરમાંના ફૂલની જેમ તે ખીલે છે.

As for man, like grass, are his days, Like the blossom of the field, so, doth he blossom;

16 ૧૬ પવન તેના પર થઈને વાય છે અને તે ઊડી જાય છે અને તે ક્યાં હતું એ કોઈને માલૂમ પડતું નથી.

For, a wind, hath passed over it, and it is gone, And its own place is acquainted with it no more.

17 ૧૭ પણ યહોવાહની કૃપા તેમના ભક્તો પર અનાદિકાળથી તે અનંતકાળ સુધી છે. તેમનું ન્યાયીપણું તેમના વંશજોને માટે છે.

But, the lovingkindness of Yahweh, is from one age even to another, Upon them who revere him, And his righteousness, to children’s children: —

18 ૧૮ તેઓ તેમનો કરાર માને છે અને તેમની સૂચનાઓનું પાલન કરે છે.

To such as keep his covenant, And remember his precepts, to do them.

19 ૧૯ યહોવાહે પોતાનું રાજ્યાસન આકાશમાં સ્થાપ્યું છે અને તેમના રાજ્યની સત્તા સર્વ ઉપર છે.

Yahweh, in the heavens, hath established his throne, And, his kingdom, over all, hath dominion.

20 ૨૦ હે બળમાં પરાક્રમી, યહોવાહનું વચન પાળનારા તથા તેમની આજ્ઞાઓ પાળનારા તેમના દૂતો, તમે યહોવાહની સ્તુતિ કરો.

Bless Yahweh, ye messengers of his, —Heroes of vigour, doing his word, To hearken [again] to the voice of his word;

21 ૨૧ હે યહોવાહનાં સર્વ સૈન્યો, તેમની ઇચ્છાને અનુસરનારા તેમના સેવકો, તમે તેમને સ્તુત્ય માનો.

Bless Yahweh, all ye his hosts, Attendants of his, doing his pleasure;

22 ૨૨ યહોવાહના રાજ્યમાં સર્વ સ્થળોમાં તેમનાં સૌ કૃત્યો તેમને સ્તુત્ય માનો; હે મારા આત્મા, તું યહોવાહને સ્તુત્ય માન.

Bless Yahweh, all ye his works, In all places of his dominion, Bless, O my soul, Yahweh.
