નહેમ્યા 13
1 ૧ તે દિવસે મૂસાનું નિયમશાસ્ત્ર લોકોને વાંચી સંભળાવવામાં આવ્યું. તેમાં તેઓને એવું લખાણ મળ્યું કે, આમ્મોનીઓને કે મોઆબીઓને ઈશ્વરની મંડળીમાં કદી દાખલ કરવા નહિ.
On the day that it was read aloud in [the] scroll of Moses in [the] ears of the people and it was found written in it that not he will come an Ammonite and a Moabite in [the] assembly of God until perpetuity.
2 ૨ કેમ કે તે લોકો ઇઝરાયલીઓને માટે અન્ન તથા પાણી લઈને સામે મળવા આવ્યા નહોતા, પણ તેઓએ ઇઝરાયલીઓને શાપ આપવા માટે લાંચ આપીને બલામને રોક્યો હતો. તેમ છતાં આપણા ઈશ્વરે તે શાપને આશીર્વાદમાં ફેરવી નાખ્યો હતો.
For not they had met [the] people of Israel with food and with water and he had hired on it Balaam to curse it and he turned God our the curse into blessing.
And it was when heard they the law and they separated every person of mixed ancestry from Israel.
4 ૪ પરંતુ આ અગાઉ, યાજક એલ્યાશીબ જેને ઈશ્વરના ભક્તિસ્થાનના ભંડારનો કારભારી નીમ્યો હતો, તે ટોબિયાના સગો હતો.
And before from this Eliashib the priest [was] appointed over [the] store-room of [the] house of God our [one] near to Tobiah.
5 ૫ એલ્યાશીબે ટોબિયા માટે એક વિશાળ રૂમ તૈયાર કરી તેમાં અગાઉ ખાદ્યાર્પણો, ધૂપ, વાસણો, અનાજ, નવો દ્રાક્ષારસ અને જૈતતેલના દશાંશ રાખવામાં આવતા હતા. અને તેમાંથી નિયમ પ્રમાણે લેવીઓ, ગાનારાઓ તથા દ્વારપાળોને આપવામાં આવતું હતું. તેમ જ યાજકોનાં ઉચ્છાલીયાર્પણો પણ તેમાં રાખવામાં આવતાં હતાં.
And he made for him a room large and there people were before putting the grain offering the frankincense and the utensils and [the] tithe of the grain the new wine and the fresh oil [the] commandment of the Levites and the singers and the gatekeepers and [the] contribution of the priests.
6 ૬ પણ તે સમયે હું યરુશાલેમમાં નહોતો, કારણ, બાબિલના રાજા આર્તાહશાસ્તાના બત્રીસમા વર્ષે હું રાજા પાસે ગયો હતો. થોડા સમય પછી મેં રાજા પાસે જવાની પરવાનગી માંગી.
And in all this not I was in Jerusalem for in year thirty and two of Artaxerxes [the] king of Babylon I had gone to the king and to [the] end of days I requested leave of absence from the king.
7 ૭ હું યરુશાલેમ પાછો આવ્યો. એલ્યાશીબે ટોબિયાને માટે ઈશ્વરના સભાસ્થાનની પરસાળમાં રૂમ બાંધીને જે દુષ્કર્મ કર્યું હતું તેની મને ખબર પડી.
And I came to Jerusalem and I perceived! the evil thing which he had done Eliashib for Tobiah by making for him a room in [the] courtyards of [the] house of God.
And it was displeasing to me exceedingly and I threw! all [the] articles of [the] household of Tobiah the outside from the room.
9 ૯ તેને શુદ્ધ કરવાનો મેં હુકમ કર્યો અને પછી ઈશ્વરના ભક્તિસ્થાનનાં પાત્રો, ખાદ્યાર્પણો તથા લોબાન હું તેમાં પાછાં લાવ્યો.
And I said! and people purified the store-rooms and I brought back! there [the] utensils of [the] house of God the grain offering and the frankincense.
10 ૧૦ મને એ પણ ખબર પડી કે લેવીઓના હિસ્સા તેઓને આપવામાં આવતા ન હતા. તેથી લેવીઓ તથા ગાનારાઓ પોતપોતાના ખેતરોમાં ચાલ્યા ગયા હતા.
And I perceived! that [the] portions of the Levites not it had been given and they had fled each one to own field his the Levites and the singers [who] did the work.
11 ૧૧ તેથી મેં આગેવાનોની સાથે ઉગ્ર થઈને પૂછ્યું, “શા માટે ઈશ્વરના સભાસ્થાનને તુચ્છકારવામાં આવે છે? મેં લેવીઓને એકત્ર કરીને તેઓને પોતપોતાની જગ્યા પર રાખ્યા.
And I contended! with the officials and I said! why? has it been neglected [the] house of God and I assembled them and I made stand them at place their.
And all Judah they brought [the] tithe of the grain and the new wine and the fresh oil to the storerooms.
13 ૧૩ તે ભંડારો ઉપર મેં ખજાનચીઓ નીમ્યા તેઓ આ છે: શેલેમ્યા યાજક, સાદોક શાસ્ત્રી તથા લેવીઓમાંનો પદાયા. તેઓના પછી માત્તાન્યાનો દીકરો ઝાક્કૂરનો દીકરો હાનાન હતો, કેમ કે તેઓ વિશ્વાસુ ગણાતા હતા. પોતાના ભાઈઓને વહેંચી આપવું, એ તેઓનું કામ હતું.
And I appointed as treasurers! over [the] storerooms Shelemiah the priest and Zadok the scribe and Pedaiah one of the Levites and [was] on hand their Hanan [the] son of Zaccur [the] son of Mattaniah for reliable they were thought and [was] on them to distribute to brothers their.
14 ૧૪ મેં પ્રાર્થના કરી, હે મારા ઈશ્વર, આ મારાં સારાં કાર્યોને યાદ રાખજો અને ઈશ્વરના સભાસ્થાનને માટે તથા તેની સેવાને માટે મેં જે સારા કામ કર્યાં છે તેને નષ્ટ થવા દેશો નહિ.
Remember! to me O God my on this and may not you wipe out loyalti my which I have done in [the] house of God my and in services its.
15 ૧૫ તે સમયે યહૂદિયામાં મેં કેટલાક લોકોને વિશ્રામવારના દિવસે દ્રાક્ષચક્કીમાં દ્રાક્ષ પીલતા તથા અનાજની ગૂણો અંદર લાવી ગધેડા પર લાદતા અને દ્રાક્ષારસ, દ્રાક્ષો, અંજીર તથા સર્વ પ્રકારના ભાર યરુશાલેમમાં લાવતા જોયા. તેઓને અન્ન વેચતા પણ મેં જોયા, ત્યારે મેં તે દિવસે તેઓની સામે વાંધો લીધો.
In the days those I saw in Judah - [some who] trod winepresses - on the sabbath and [some who] brought heaps of grain and [some who] loaded [them] on donkeys and also wine grapes and figs and every load and [some who] brought [them] Jerusalem on [the] day of the sabbath and I protested on [the] day sold they food.
16 ૧૬ યરુશાલેમમાં તૂરના માણસો પણ રહેતા હતા, જેઓ માછલી તથા બીજી બધી જાતનો માલ લાવતા અને વિશ્રામવારના દિવસે યહૂદિયાના લોકોને તે વેચતા.
And the Tyrians [who] they dwelt in it [were] bringing fish and every merchandise and [were] selling [it] on the sabbath to [the] people of Judah and in Jerusalem.
17 ૧૭ પછી મેં યહૂદિયાના આગેવાનોની સામે ફરિયાદ કરીને કહ્યું, “તમે આ કેવું ખરાબ કામ કરો છો અને વિશ્રામવારના દિવસને ભ્રષ્ટ કરો છો?
And I contended! with [the] nobles of Judah and I said! to them what? [is] the thing evil this which you [are] doing and [are] profaning [the] day of the sabbath.
18 ૧૮ શું તમારા પિતૃઓ એમ નહોતા કરતા? અને તેથી આપણા ઈશ્વરે આપણા પર તથા આ નગર પર શું આ બધાં દુ: ખો વરસાવ્યાં નથી? હવે તમે વિશ્રામવારના દિવસને ભ્રષ્ટ કરીને ઇઝરાયલ પર ઈશ્વરનો વધારે કોપ લાવો છો.”
¿ Not thus did they do ancestors your and he brought God our on us all the trouble this and on the city this and you [are] increasing anger toward Israel by profaning the sabbath.
19 ૧૯ વિશ્રામવારને આગલે દિવસે સૂર્ય અસ્ત થાય ત્યારે યરુશાલેમના દરવાજા બંધ કરવાની અને સાબ્બાથ પહેલાં તેઓને નહિ ઉઘાડવાની મેં આજ્ઞા આપી. મેં મારા ચાકરોમાંના કેટલાકને દરવાજા પર ગોઠવ્યા, જેથી શહેરમાં સાબ્બાથને દિવસે કોઈપણ જાતનો માલ અંદર લાવવામાં ન આવે.
And it was just when they became dark [the] gates of Jerusalem before the sabbath and I said! and they were closed the doors and I said! that not people will open them until after the sabbath and some of servants my I stationed at the gates not it will come a load on [the] day of the sabbath.
And they passed [the] night the traders and [the] sellers of every merchandise from [the] outside of Jerusalem a time and two [times].
21 ૨૧ પણ મેં તેમને ચેતવણી આપી, “તમે દીવાલની બહાર કેમ છાવણી નાખે છે? જો તમે ફરી એ પ્રમાણે કરશો તો હું તમારી સામે પગલાં લઈશ!” ત્યાર પછી તે સમયથી તેઓ વિશ્રામવારના દિવસે ક્યારેય આવ્યા નહિ.
And I warned! them and I said! to them why? [are] you passing [the] night before the wall if you will do [it] again a hand I will stretch out on you from the time that not they came on the sabbath.
22 ૨૨ મેં લેવીઓને આજ્ઞા કરી કે વિશ્રામવારના દિવસે તેઓ પોતાને પવિત્ર રાખવા માટે પોતે શુદ્ધ થાય અને દરવાજાઓની સંભાળ રાખે. મેં પ્રાર્થના કરી, હે મારા ઈશ્વર, મારા લાભમાં આનું પણ સ્મરણ કરો કેમ કે તમારી કૃપાને લીધે મારી પર કરુણા કરો.
And I said! to the Levites that they will be purifying themselves and coming guarding the gates to keep holy [the] day of the sabbath also this remember! to me O God my and have mercy! on me according to [the] greatness of covenant loyalty your.
Also - in the days those I saw the Jews [who] they had married women (Ashdodite Ammonite *Q(k)*) Moabite.
24 ૨૪ તેઓનાં બાળકો અર્ધું આશ્દોદી ભાષામાં બોલતાં હતાં અને તેઓને યહૂદીઓની ભાષા આવડતી ન હતી, પણ પોતપોતાના લોકોની મિશ્ર ભાષા બોલતાં હતાં.
And children their half [were] speaking Ashdodite and not they [were] knowing to speak [in] Judean and according to [the] language of people and people.
25 ૨૫ મેં તેઓની વિરુદ્ધ થઈને તેઓનો તિરસ્કાર કર્યો, તેઓમાંના કેટલાકને માર્યા, તેઓના વાળ ખેંચી કાઢ્યા અને તેઓ પાસે ઈશ્વરના સમ ખવડાવ્યા કે, “અમે અમારી પોતાની દીકરીઓના લગ્ન તેઓના દીકરાઓ સાથે કરાવીશું નહિ અને તેઓની દીકરીઓ સાથે અમારા દીકરાઓના લગ્ન પણ કરાવીશું નહિ.
And I contended with them and I cursed them and I struck some of them men and I pulled out beard their and I made take an oath them by God if you will give daughters your to sons their and if you will take any of daughters their for sons your and for yourselves.
26 ૨૬ ઇઝરાયલના રાજા સુલેમાને શું એ બાબતો વિષે પાપ નહોતું કર્યું? જો કે ઘણા રાષ્ટ્રોમાં તેના જેટલો મહાન રાજા કોઈ નહોતો, તે પોતાના ઈશ્વરનો વહાલો હતો. અને ઈશ્વરે તેને સર્વ ઇઝરાયલીઓ પર રાજા ઠરાવ્યો હતો. તેમ છતાં તેની વિદેશી પત્નીઓએ તેને પાપ કરવા પ્રેર્યો હતો.
¿ Not on these did he sin Solomon [the] king of Israel and among the nations many not he was a king like him and loved by God his he was and he made him God king over all Israel also him they caused to sin the wives foreign.
27 ૨૭ તો શું અમે તમારું સાંભળીને વિદેશી સ્ત્રીઓ સાથે લગ્ન કરીને આપણા ઈશ્વરની વિરુદ્ધ ઉલ્લંઘન કરીને આવું મોટું પાપ કરીએ?”
And to you ¿ is it heard to do all the evil great this to act unfaithfully against God our by marrying wives foreign.
28 ૨૮ મુખ્ય યાજક એલ્યાશીબનો દીકરો યોયાદાના દીકરાઓમાંના એક હોરોની સાન્બાલ્લાટનો જમાઈ હતો. તેથી મેં તેને મારી આગળથી કાઢી મૂક્યો.
And one of [the] sons of Joiada [the] son of Eliashib the priest great [was] a son-in-law of Sanballat the Horonite and I drove away him from with me.
29 ૨૯ હે મારા ઈશ્વર, તેઓનું સ્મરણ કરો, કેમ કે તેઓએ યાજકપદને અને યાજકપદના તથા લેવીઓના કરારને અપવિત્ર કર્યાં છે.
Remember! to them O God my on [the] defilement of the priesthood and [the] covenant of the priesthood and the Levites.
30 ૩૦ આ રીતે મેં સર્વ વિદેશીઓના સંબંધમાંથી તેઓને શુદ્ધ કર્યા અને યાજકોને તથા લેવીઓને પોતપોતાના કામના ક્રમ ઠરાવી આપ્યા.
And I purified them from all foreignness and I assigned! duties to the priests and to the Levites each one in own work his.
31 ૩૧ મેં ઠરાવેલા સમયે કાષ્ટાર્પણ માટે તથા પ્રથમ ફળોને માટે પણ ક્રમ ઠરાવી આપ્યો. હે મારા ઈશ્વર, મારા હિતને માટે તેનું સ્મરણ કરો.
And for [the] offering of the wood at times appointed and for the first-fruits remember! to me O God my for good.
