મીખાહ 6
1 ૧ યહોવાહ જે કહે છે તે હવે તમે સાંભળો. મીખાહે તેને કહ્યું, “ઊઠો અને પર્વતોની આગળ તમારી ફરિયાદ રજૂ કરો; ડુંગરોને તમારો અવાજ સંભળાવો.
Here ye whiche thingis the Lord spekith. Rise thou, stryue thou bi doom ayens mounteyns, and litle hillis here thi vois.
2 ૨ હે પર્વતો તથા પૃથ્વીના મજબૂત પાયાઓ, તમે યહોવાહની ફરિયાદ સાંભળો. કેમ કે યહોવાહને પોતાના લોકોની સાથે ફરિયાદ છે અને તે ઇઝરાયલની વિરુદ્ધ દાવો ચલાવશે.
Mounteyns, and the stronge foundementis of erthe, here the doom of the Lord; for the doom of the Lord with his puple, and he schal be demyd with Israel.
3 ૩ “હે મારા લોકો, મેં તમને શું કર્યું છે? મેં તમને કઈ રીતે કંટાળો આપ્યો છે? મારી વિરુદ્ધ જે કંઈ હોય તે કહી દો.

4 ૪ કેમ કે હું તો તમને મિસર દેશમાંથી બહાર લાવ્યો અને મેં તમને ગુલામીના ઘરમાંથી છોડાવ્યા. મેં તમારી પાસે મૂસાને, હારુનને તથા મરિયમને મોકલ્યાં.

5 ૫ હે મારા લોકો, યાદ કરો કે મોઆબના રાજા બાલાકે શી યોજના કરી અને બેઓરના દીકરા બલામે તેને શો ઉત્તર આપ્યો? શિટ્ટીમથી ગિલ્ગાલ સુધી શું બન્યું તે તમે યાદ કરો, જેથી તમે યહોવાહનાં ન્યાયી કાર્યોને સમજી શકો.”

6 ૬ હું શું લઈને યહોવાહની આગળ આવું? કે ઉચ્ચ ઈશ્વરને નમસ્કાર કરું? શું હું દહનીયાર્પણો લઈને, અથવા એક વર્ષના વાછરડાને લઈને તેમની આગળ આવું?
What worthi thing schal Y offre to the Lord? schal Y bowe the knee to the hiye God? Whether Y schal offre to hym brent sacrifices, and calues of o yeer?
7 ૭ શું હજારો ઘેટાંઓથી, કે તેલની દસ હજાર નદીઓથી યહોવાહ ખુશ થશે? શું મારા અપરાધને લીધે હું મારા પ્રથમ જનિતનું બલિદાન આપું? મારા આત્માનાં પાપને માટે મારા શરીરના ફળનું અર્પણ કરું?
Whether God mai be paid in thousyndis of wetheris, ether in many thousyndis of fatte geet buckis? Whether Y schal yyue my firste bigetun for my greet trespas, the fruyt of my wombe for synne of my soule?
8 ૮ હે મનુષ્ય, તેણે તને જણાવ્યું છે, કે સારું શું છે; ન્યાયથી વર્તવું, દયાભાવ રાખવો, તથા તારા ઈશ્વર સાથે નમ્રતાથી ચાલવું, યહોવાહ તારી પાસે બીજું શું માગે છે.
Y schal schewe to thee, thou man, what is good, and what the Lord axith of thee; forsothe for to do doom, and for to loue merci, and be bisi for to walke with thi God.
9 ૯ યહોવાહ નગરને બોલાવે છે; જેઓ જ્ઞાની છે તેઓ તમારા નામથી બીશે: “સોટીનું તથા તેનું નિર્માણ કરનારનું સાંભળ.
The vois of the Lord crieth to the citee, and heelthe schal be to alle men dredynge thi name. Ye lynagis, here; and who schal approue it?
Yit fier is in the hous of the vnpitouse man, the tresouris of wickidnesse, and a lesse mesure ful of wraththe.
Whether Y schal iustifie the wickid balaunce, and the gileful weiytis of litil sak,
12 ૧૨ તેના ધનવાન માણસો હિંસાખોર હોય છે. તેના રહેવાસીઓ જૂઠું બોલે છે, અને તેમના મુખમાં કપટી જીભ હોય છે.
in whiche riche men therof ben fillid with wickidnesse? And men dwellynge ther ynne spaken leesyng, and the tunge of hem was gileful in the mouth of hem.
And Y therfor bigan for to smyte thee, in perdicioun on thi synnes.
14 ૧૪ તું ખાશે પણ તૃપ્ત થશે નહિ; તારામાં કંગાલિયત રહેશે. તું સામાનનો સંગ્રહ કરશે પણ કંઈ બચાવી શકશે નહિ, તું જે કંઈ બચાવશે તે હું તલવારને સ્વાધીન કરીશ.
Thou schalt ete, and schalt not be fillid, and thi mekyng is in the middil of thee; and thou schalt take, and schalt not saue; and which thou schalt saue, Y schal yyue in to swerd.
15 ૧૫ તું વાવશે પણ કાપણી કરી શકશે નહિ, તું જૈતૂનને પીલશે પણ તારા શરીર પર તેલ લગાવવા પામશે નહિ; તું દ્રાક્ષા પીલશે પણ તેનો દ્રાક્ષારસ પીવા પામશે નહિ.
Thou schalt sowe, and schal not repe; thou schalt trede the `frut of oliue, and schalt not be anoyntid with oile; and must, and schalt not drynke wyn.
16 ૧૬ ઓમ્રીના વિધિઓનું તથા આહાબના કુટુંબના બધા રીતરિવાજોનું તમે પાલન કર્યું છે. અને તમે તેઓની શિખામણ પ્રમાણે ચાલો છો, તેથી હું તમને ખેદાનમેદાન કરી નાખીશ; તમારા રહેવાસીઓને તિરસ્કારપાત્ર કરી નાખીશ, તમારે મારા લોક હોવાના કટાક્ષ સહન કરવા પડશે.”
