માલાખી 3
1 ૧ “જુઓ, હું મારા સંદેશાવાહકને મોકલું છું, તે મારી આગળ માર્ગ તૈયાર કરશે. અને જે પ્રભુને તમે શોધો છો, તે અચાનક પોતાના મંદિરમાં આવશે; અને કરારનો સંદેશાવાહક જેને જોવાને તમે ખુશ છો, જુઓ, તે આવી રહ્યો છે,” એવું સૈન્યોના યહોવાહ કહે છે.
“Behold, I am sending My messenger, And he has prepared a way before Me, And suddenly the Lord whom you are seeking comes into His temple, Even the Messenger of the Covenant, Whom you are desiring, Behold, He is coming,” said YHWH of Hosts.
2 ૨ પણ તેમના આવવાનો દિવસ કોણ સહન કરી શકશે? અને જ્યારે તે પ્રગટ થશે ત્યારે કોણ ઊભો રહી શકશે? કેમ કે તે ધાતુને શુદ્ધ કરનાર અગ્નિ સમાન તથા ધોબીના સાબુ સમાન છે.
“And who is bearing the day of His coming? And who is standing in His appearing? For He [is] as fire of a refiner, And as soap of a fuller.
3 ૩ તે ચાંદી ગાળનાર તથા શુદ્ધ કરનારની જેમ ન્યાય કરવા બિરાજશે. તે લેવીના દીકરાઓને શુદ્ધ કરશે. તે તેમને સોના તથા ચાંદી જેવા શુદ્ધ કરશે, તેઓ યહોવાહને ન્યાયીપણાનું અર્પણ ચઢાવશે.
And He has sat, a refiner and purifier of silver, And He has purified the sons of Levi, And has refined them as gold and as silver, And they have been bringing a present near to YHWH in righteousness.
4 ૪ ત્યારે પ્રાચીન કાળનાં વર્ષો તથા જૂના દિવસોની જેમ યહૂદિયા તથા યરુશાલેમનાં અર્પણો યહોવાહને પસંદ પડશે.
And the present of Judah and Jerusalem has been sweet to YHWH, As in days of old, and as in former years.
5 ૫ “પછી હું ન્યાય કરવા તમારી પાસે આવીશ. જાદુગરો, વ્યભિચારીઓ અને જૂઠા સાક્ષીઓ વિરુદ્ધ તથા મજૂર પર તેના વેતનમાં જુલમ કરનારની વિરુદ્ધ, વિધવા તથા અનાથો પર જુલમ કરનારની વિરુદ્ધ, પરદેશીનો હક પચાવી પાડનાર તથા મારો આદર નહિ કરનારની વિરુદ્ધ હું સાક્ષી પૂરવા તત્પર રહીશ,” એમ સૈન્યોના યહોવાહ કહે છે.
And I have drawn near to you for judgment, And I have been a witness, Making haste against sorcerers, and against adulterers, And against swearers to a falsehood, And against oppressors of the hire of a hired worker, Of a widow, and of a fatherless one, And those turning aside a sojourner, And who do not fear Me,” said YHWH of Hosts.
“For I, YHWH, have not changed, And you, the sons of Jacob, You have not been consumed.
7 ૭ તમારા પિતૃઓના સમયથી તમે મારા વિધિઓથી દૂર ફર્યા છો અને તેઓને પાળ્યા નથી. મારી પાસે પાછા આવો, અને હું તમારી પાસે પાછો આવીશ,” એમ સૈન્યોના યહોવાહ કહે છે. “પણ તમે કહો છો, ‘અમે કેવી રીતે પાછા ફરીએ?’”
Even from the days of your fathers You have turned aside from My statutes, And you have not taken heed. Return to Me, and I return to you,” said YHWH of Hosts. “And you have said, In what do we turn back?
8 ૮ શું માણસ ઈશ્વરને લૂંટી શકે છે? છતાં તમે મને લૂંટો છો. પણ તમે કહો છો, અમે કેવી રીતે તમને લૂંટ્યા? દશાંશોમાં તથા અર્પણોમાં.
Does man deceive God? But you are deceiving Me, And you have said, In what have we deceived You? The tithe and the raised-offering!
You are cursed with a curse! And you are deceiving Me—this nation—all of it.
10 ૧૦ દશાંશો ભર્યાપૂરા ભંડારમાં લાવો, કે જેથી મારા ઘરમાં અન્નની અછત રહે નહિ. અને તમે મને પારખો કે,” “જુઓ હું તમારા માટે આકાશની બારીઓ ખોલીને સમાવેશ કરવાની જગા નહિ હોય, એટલો આશીર્વાદ તમારા પર મોકલું છું કે નહિ, એવું સૈન્યોના યહોવાહ કહે છે.
Bring in all the tithe to the treasure-house, And there is food in My house; When you have tried Me, now, with this,” said YHWH of Hosts, “Do I not open the windows of the heavens to you? Indeed, I have emptied on you a blessing until there is no space.
11 ૧૧ તમારે સારુ હું ભક્ષકોને ધમકાવીશ, જેથી તેઓ તમારી જમીનની ઊપજનો નાશ ન કરે; ખેતરમાં તમારા દ્રાક્ષાવેલાઓનાં ફળ યોગ્ય સમય આવ્યા પહેલાં ખરી પડશે નહિ,” એવું સૈન્યોના યહોવાહ કહે છે.
And I have pushed against the consumer for you, And He does not destroy the fruit of your ground, Nor does the vine in the field miscarry to you,” said YHWH of Hosts.
12 ૧૨ “સર્વ પ્રજાઓ તમને આશીર્વાદિત કહેશે, કેમ કે તમારો દેશ ખુશહાલ થશે,” એવું સૈન્યોના યહોવાહ કહે છે.
“And all the nations have declared you blessed, For you are a delightful land,” said YHWH of Hosts.
13 ૧૩ યહોવાહ કહે છે, “તમે મારી વિરુદ્ધ કઠોર વચનો કહ્યાં છે,” પણ તમે કહો છો કે, ‘અમે તમારી વિરુદ્ધ શું બોલ્યા છીએ?’
“Your words have been hard against Me,” said YHWH, “And you have said, What have we spoken against You?
14 ૧૪ તમે કહ્યું છે કે, ‘ઈશ્વરની સેવા કરવી વ્યર્થ છે. અમે તેમના વિધિઓ પાળ્યા તથા સૈન્યોના યહોવાહની આગળ શોકપૂર્વક ચાલ્યા તેથી અમને શો લાભ થયો?
You have said, A vain thing to serve God! And what gain when we kept His charge? And when we have gone in black, Because of YHWH of Hosts?
15 ૧૫ અને હવે અમે ઘમંડી લોકોને આશીર્વાદિત કહીએ છીએ. દુરાચારીઓ ફક્ત આબાદ થતાં નથી, પણ તેઓ, ઈશ્વરને પારખે છે અને બચી જાય છે.’”
And now, we are declaring the proud blessed, Indeed, those doing wickedness have been built up, Indeed, they have tempted God, and escape.
16 ૧૬ ત્યારે યહોવાહનો ભય રાખનારાઓએ એકબીજાની સાથે વાત કરી; યહોવાહે તે ધ્યાનથી સાંભળ્યું અને ભય રાખનારાઓને સારુ તથા તેમના નામનું આદર રાખનારાઓને સારુ યાદીનું પુસ્તક તેમની હજૂરમાં લખવામાં આવ્યું.
Then have those fearing YHWH spoken to one another, And YHWH attends and hears, And a scroll of memorial is written before Him Of those fearing YHWH, And of those esteeming His Name.
17 ૧૭ સૈન્યોના યહોવાહ કહે છે, “તેઓ મારા થશે,” “જે દિવસે હું આ કરીશ તે દિવસે, તેઓ મારું ખાસ દ્રવ્ય થશે; જેમ પિતા પોતાની સેવા કરનાર દીકરા પર દયા રાખે, તેમ હું તેમના પર દયા રાખીશ.
And they have been to Me,” said YHWH of Hosts, “In the day that I am appointing—a peculiar treasure, And I have had pity on them, As one has pity on his son who is serving him.
18 ૧૮ ત્યારે તમે ફરી એકવાર ન્યાયી અને દુષ્ટ વચ્ચેનો તથા ઈશ્વરની સેવા કરનાર અને સેવા નહિ કરનાર વચ્ચેનો ભેદ સમજશો.
And you have turned back and considered, Between the righteous and the wicked, Between the servant of God and him who is not His servant.”
