At this also my heart trembleth, and is moved out of its place.
Hear attentively the noise of His voice, and the sound that goeth out of His mouth.
He sendeth it forth under the whole heaven, and His lightning unto the ends of the earth.
4 ૪ તેમની પાછળ અવાજ થાય છે; તે ગર્જનાથી તેમની ભવ્યતાનો અવાજ કરે છે; જ્યારે વીજળી ચમકે છે, ત્યારે તેમનો અવાજ સંભળાય છે.
After it a voice roareth; He thundereth with the voice of His majesty; and He stayeth them not when His voice is heard.
God thundereth marvellously with His voice; great things doeth He, which we cannot comprehend.
6 ૬ તેમણે બરફને કહ્યું, ‘પૃથ્વી પર પડો’ તે જ રીતે વરસાદને વરસવાનું, અને ‘પૃથ્વી પર મુશળધાર વરસાદ આપવાની આજ્ઞા કરે છે.’
For He saith to the snow: 'Fall thou on the earth'; likewise to the shower of rain, and to the showers of His mighty rain.
7 ૭ આ રીતે તેઓ સર્વ માણસોને કામ કરતા અટકાવે છે, કે જેથી તેમનું સર્જન કરેલા લોકો તેમનું પરાક્રમ સમજે.
He sealeth up the hand of every man, that all men whom He hath made may know it.
Then the beasts go into coverts, and remain in their dens.
Out of the Chamber cometh the storm; and cold out of the north.
By the breath of God ice is given, and the breadth of the waters is straitened.
Yea, He ladeth the thick cloud with moister, He spreadeth abroad the cloud of His lightning;
12 ૧૨ તેઓ વાદળોને આખી પૃથ્વી પર ચારેતરફ વિખેરી નાખે છે, જેમ તેઓને આજ્ઞા આપવામાં આવે છે તે પ્રમાણે કરે છે.
And they are turned round about by His guidance, that they may do whatsoever He commandeth them upon the face of the habitable world:
13 ૧૩ લોકોને શિક્ષા કરવા સારુ, તો કોઈ સમયે તેમની પૃથ્વીને માટે, અને કોઈ સમયે કરારના વિશ્વાસુપણાના કાર્યને માટે, ઈશ્વર આ પ્રમાણે સર્વ થવા દે છે.
Whether it be for correction, or for His earth, or for mercy, that He cause it to come.
Hearken unto this, O Job; stand still, and consider the wondrous works of God.
15 ૧૫ ઈશ્વર વાદળોને કેવી રીતે નિયંત્રણમાં રાખે છે, અને વાદળોમાંથી વીજળીને કેવી રીતે ચમકાવે છે એ શું તું જાણતો નથી?
Dost thou know how God enjoineth them, and causeth the lightning of His cloud to shine?
16 ૧૬ વાદળો કેવી રીતે હવામાં સમતોલ રહે છે, જે ડહાપણમાં સંપૂર્ણ છે અને ઈશ્વરનાં આશ્ચર્યકારક કાર્યો, તે શું તું જાણે છે?
Dost thou know the balancings of the clouds, the wondrous works of Him who is perfect in knowledge?
17 ૧૭ તને જ્યારે પરસેવો થાય ત્યારે તારાં વસ્ત્રો તારી ચામડીને ચોંટી જાય છે. અને જ્યારે દક્ષિણ દિશામાંથી હૂંફાળો પવન વાય છે ત્યારે બધું શાંત અને સૂમસામ થઈ જાય છે તે શું તું સમજે છે?
Thou whose garments are warm, when the earth is still by reason of the south wind;
18 ૧૮ જેમ તેમણે આકાશ વિસ્તાર્યાં છે તેમ, તમે કરી શકો છો? આકાશને ચમકતા કરેલા પિત્તળની જેમ ચમકીલુ બનાવી શકો છો?
Canst thou with Him spread out the sky, which is strong as a molten mirror?
19 ૧૯ અમારે શું કહેવું તે અમને શીખવ, કારણ કે અમે અમારા મનના અંધકારને લીધે તેમની સાથે દલીલો કરી શકતા નથી.
Teach us what we shall say unto Him; for we cannot order our speech by reason of darkness.
20 ૨૦ શું હું ઈશ્વરને કહીશ કે મારી ઇચ્છા તેની સાથે વાત કરવાની હતી? શું કોઈ માણસ ઇચ્છે કે તેનો નાશ થાય?
Shall it be told Him that I would speak? Or should a man wish that he were swallowed up?
21 ૨૧ જ્યારે પવન આકાશને ચોખ્ખું કરે છે ત્યારે એટલું બધું અજવાળું થાય છે કે લોકો સૂર્ય સામે જોઈ શક્તા નથી.
And now men see not the light which is bright in the skies; but the wind passeth, and cleanseth them.
22 ૨૨ તે જ રીતે આકાશમાંથી આપણી ઉપર આવતા અને આંખોને આંજી દેતા ઈશ્વરની ભવ્યતા સામે પણ આપણે જોઈ શક્તા નથી.
Out of the north cometh golden splendour, about God is terrible majesty.
23 ૨૩ સર્વશક્તિમાન ઈશ્વર મહાન છે! આપણે તેમને સમજી શકતા નથી; તેઓ મહા પરાક્રમી અને ન્યાયી છે. તેઓ આપણને નુકસાન પહોંચાડતા નથી.
The Almighty, whom we cannot find out, is excellent in power, yet to judgment and plenteous justice He doeth no violence.
24 ૨૪ તેથી લોકો તેમનાથી ડરે છે. “પણ જેઓ પોતાની જાતને જ્ઞાની માને છે, તેવા લોકોને ઈશ્વર ગણકારતા નથી.”
Men do therefore fear Him; He regardeth not any that are wise of heart.
