અયૂબ 33

1 ૧ હવે, હે અયૂબ, હું જે કહું તે કૃપા કરીને સાંભળ; મારા સર્વ શબ્દો પર લક્ષ આપ.

So now, Job, I beg you, hear my speech; listen to all my words.

2 ૨ જો, હવે મેં મારું મુખ ખોલ્યું છે; મારા મુખમાં મારી જીભ બોલવાની તૈયારીમાં છે.

See now, I have opened my mouth; my tongue has spoken in my mouth.

3 ૩ મારા શબ્દો મારું અંતઃકરણ પ્રગટ કરશે; મારા હોઠો જાણે છે કે જે સત્ય છે તે જ હું બોલીશ.

My words come from the uprightness of my heart; my lips speak pure knowledge.

4 ૪ ઈશ્વરના આત્માએ મને ઉત્પન્ન કર્યો છે; સર્વશક્તિમાનનો શ્વાસ મને જીવન આપે છે.

The Spirit of God has made me; the breath of the Almighty has given me life.

5 ૫ જો તારાથી શક્ય હોય, તો તું મને જવાબ આપ; ઊભો થઈ જા અને તારી દલીલો મારી સામે રજૂ કર.

If you can, answer me; set your words in order before me and stand up.

6 ૬ જુઓ, આપણે બન્ને ઈશ્વરની નજરમાં સમાન છીએ; મને પણ માટીમાંથી જ ઉત્પન્ન કરવામાં આવ્યો છે.

See, I am just as you are in God's sight; I also have been formed out of the clay.

7 ૭ જો, તારે મારાથી ડરવાની જરૂર નથી, અથવા મારું દબાણ તને ભારે પડશે નહિ.

See, terror of me will not make you afraid; neither will my pressure be heavy upon you.

8 ૮ નિશ્ચે તેં મારા સંભાળતાં કહ્યું છે; મેં તને એવા શબ્દો કહેતા સાંભળ્યો છે,

You have certainly spoken in my hearing; I have heard the sound of your words saying,

9 ૯ ‘હું શુદ્ધ અને અપરાધ વિનાનો છું; હું નિર્દોષ છું અને મારામાં કોઈ પાપ નથી.

'I am clean and without transgression; I am innocent, and there is no sin in me.

10 ૧૦ જો, ઈશ્વર મારા પર હુમલો કરવાની તક શોધે છે; તેઓ મને તેમના એક દુશ્મન સમાન ગણે છે.

See, God finds opportunities to attack me; he regards me as his enemy.

11 ૧૧ તે મારા પગોને હેડમાં મૂકે છે; તે મારા સર્વ માર્ગોની સંભાળ રાખે છે.’

He puts my feet in stocks; he watches all my paths.'

12 ૧૨ જો, હું તને જવાબ આપીશ કે: ઈશ્વર માણસ કરતાં મહાન છે માટે તારે તે કહેવું યોગ્ય નથી.

See, in this you are not right—I will answer you, for God is greater than man.

13 ૧૩ “તું શા માટે તેમની સાથે બાથ ભીડે છે?” કારણ કે તે કોઈના કાર્યો વિષે મહિતી આપતા નથી.

Why do you struggle against him? He does not account for any of his doings.

14 ૧૪ કેમ કે ઈશ્વર એક વાર બોલે છે હા, બે વાર બોલે છે, છતાં પણ માણસ તે બાબત પર ધ્યાન આપતો નથી.

For God speaks once— yes, twice, though man does not notice it.

15 ૧૫ જ્યારે માણસો ગાઢ નિદ્રામાં હોય કે, પથારી પર ઊંઘતા હોય, સ્વપ્નમાં અથવા રાતના સંદર્શનમાં હોય ત્યારે,

In a dream, in a vision of the night, when deep sleep falls upon men, in slumber on the bed—

16 ૧૬ ઈશ્વર માણસોના કાન ઉઘાડે છે, અને તેઓને ચેતવણીથી ભયભીત કરે છે,

then God opens the ears of men, and frightens them with threats,

17 ૧૭ અને આ મુજબ માણસને તેના પાપી ધ્યેયોથી અટકાવે, અને તેને અહંકારથી દૂર કરે.

in order to pull man back from his sinful purposes, and keep pride from him.

18 ૧૮ ઈશ્વર લોકોના જીવનોને ખાડામાં પડતા અટકાવે છે, અને તેઓનાં જીવનને નાશ પામતા બચાવે છે.

God keeps man's life back from the pit, his life from crossing over to death.

19 ૧૯ તેમ છતાં માણસને પથારીમાં થતા દુઃખથી, અને તેનાં હાડકામાં વેદના આપીને તેમને સમજાવે છે.

Man is punished also with pain on his bed, with constant agony in his bones,

20 ૨૦ તેથી તેનું જીવન ભોજનથી, અને તેનો આત્મા સ્વાદિષ્ટ ભોજનથી પણ કંટાળી જાય છે.

so that his life abhors food, and his soul abhors delicacies.

21 ૨૧ તેનું શરીર સુકાઈ જાય છે અને અદ્રશ્ય થઈ જાય છે; તેનાં હાડકાં દેખાતાં ન હતાં તે હવે દેખાઈ આવે છે.

His flesh is consumed away so that it cannot be seen; his bones, once not seen, now stick out.

22 ૨૨ ખરેખર, તેનો આત્મા કબરની પાસે છે, અને તેનું જીવન નાશ કરનારાઓની નજીક છે.

Indeed, his soul draws close to the pit, his life to those who wish to destroy it.

23 ૨૩ માણસને શું કરવું સારું છે તે બતાવવાને, હજારો સ્વર્ગદૂતોમાંથી એક દૂત, મધ્યસ્થી તરીકે તેની સાથે હોય,

But if there is an angel who can be a mediator for him, a mediator, one from among the thousands of angels, to show him what is right to do,

24 ૨૪ અને તે દૂત તેના પર દયાળુ થઈને ઈશ્વરને કહે છે કે, ‘આ માણસને કબરમાં જતાં અટકાવો; કારણ કે, તેના બચાવ કરવાની રકમ મને મળી છે,’

and if the angel is kind to him and says to God, 'Save this person from going down to the pit; I have found a ransom for him,'

25 ૨૫ ત્યારબાદ તેનું શરીર નાના બાળક કરતાં શુદ્ધ થઈ જશે; અને તે પાછો તેની યુવાનીના દિવસો પ્રાપ્ત કરશે.

then his flesh will become fresher than a child's; he will return to the days of his youthful strength.

26 ૨૬ તે ઈશ્વરને પ્રાર્થના કરશે અને ઈશ્વર તેને કૃપા આપે છે, અને તે ઈશ્વરનું મુખ જોઈને આનંદ કરે છે. અને ઈશ્વર તે માણસને તેની પ્રામાણિક્તા પાછી આપે છે.

He will pray to God, and God will be kind to him, so that he sees God's face with joy. God will give the person his triumph.

27 ૨૭ ત્યારે તે માણસ અન્ય લોકોની સમક્ષ સ્તુતિ કરશે અને કહેશે કે, મેં પાપ કર્યું હતું અને જે સત્ય હતું તેને વિપરીત કર્યું હતું, પણ મારા પાપ પ્રમાણે મને સજા કરવામાં આવી નહિ.

Then that person will sing in front of other people and say, 'I sinned and perverted that which was right, but my sin was not punished.

28 ૨૮ ‘ઈશ્વરે મને મોતના મુખમાંથી બચાવ્યો છે; અને હવે હું ફરીથી જીવનનો આનંદ માણી શકીશ.’”

God has rescued my soul from going down into the pit; my life will continue to see light.'

29 ૨૯ જુઓ, ઈશ્વર આ બધી બાબતો માણસો સાથે કરે છે, બે વાર, હા, ત્રણ વાર પણ તે એમ જ વર્તે છે,

See, God does all these things with a person, twice, yes, even three times,

30 ૩૦ તેઓ તેનું જીવન કબરમાંથી પાછું લાવે છે, જેથી તેને જીવનનો પ્રકાશ પ્રાપ્ત થાય.

to bring his soul back from the pit, so that he may be enlightened with the light of life.

31 ૩૧ હે અયૂબ, હું જે કહું તે ધ્યાનથી સાંભળ; તું શાંત રહે અને હું બોલીશ.

Pay attention, Job, and listen to me; be silent and I will speak.

32 ૩૨ પણ જો તારે કંઈ કહેવું હોય, તો મને જવાબ આપ; બોલ, કારણ કે, હું તને નિર્દોષ જાહેર કરવા માગું છું.

If you have anything to say, answer me; speak, for I wish to prove that you are in the right.

33 ૩૩ જો, નહિતો મારું સાંભળ; શાંત રહે અને હું તને જ્ઞાન શીખવીશ.”

If not, then listen to me; remain silent, and I will teach you wisdom.”
