અયૂબ 27

1 ૧ અયૂબે પોતાના દ્દ્રષ્ટાંતના વધારામાં કહ્યું કે,

Moreouer Iob proceeded and continued his parable, saying,

2 ૨ “ઈશ્વરના સોગન ખાઈને કહું છું કે, તેમણે મારો હક ડુબાવ્યો છે, સર્વશક્તિમાન ઈશ્વરે મારા આત્માને સતાવ્યો છે,

The liuing God hath taken away my iudgement: for the Almightie hath put my soule in bitternesse.

3 ૩ જ્યાં સુધી હું જીવું છું ત્યાં સુધી, ઈશ્વરનો શ્વાસ મારા નસકોરામાં છે,

Yet so long as my breath is in me, and the Spirit of God in my nostrels,

4 ૪ નિશ્ચે મારા હોઠ અન્યાયની વાત નહિ કરે; મારી જીભ અસત્ય નહિ ઉચ્ચારે.

My lips surely shall speake no wickednesse, and my tongue shall vtter no deceite.

5 ૫ હું તમને ન્યાયી ઠરાવું એમ ઈશ્વર ન થવા દો; હું મૃત્યુ પામું, ત્યાં સુધી મારી નિર્દોષતા જાહેર કર્યા કરીશ.

God forbid, that I should iustifie you: vntill I dye, I will neuer take away mine innocencie from my selfe.

6 ૬ હું મારી નિર્દોષતાને વળગી રહીશ; હું તેને કદી છોડીશ નહિ મારા આયુષ્યના કોઈ પણ પ્રસંગ વિષે મારું મન મને ડંખતું નથી.

I will keepe my righteousnesse, and wil not forsake it: mine heart shall not reprooue me of my dayes.

7 ૭ મારા શત્રુને દુષ્ટની જેમ; મારી વિરુદ્ધ ઊઠનારને અન્યાયીની જેમ થાઓ.

Mine enemie shall be as the wicked, and he that riseth against me, as the vnrighteous.

8 ૮ જો અધર્મી નફો મેળવે તોપણ ઈશ્વર તેનો જીવ લઈ લે છે, તો પછી તેને શી આશા રહે?

For what hope hath the hypocrite when he hath heaped vp riches, if God take away his soule?

9 ૯ જયારે તેના પર દુ: ખ આવી પડશે ત્યારે શું ઈશ્વર તેનો પોકાર સાંભળશે?

Will God heare his cry, when trouble commeth vpon him?

10 ૧૦ શું તે સર્વશક્તિમાન ઈશ્વરથી આનંદ માનશે. અને સર્વ પ્રસંગે ઈશ્વરને વિનંતી કર્યા કરશે?

Will he set his delight on the Almightie? will he call vpon God at all times?

11 ૧૧ ઈશ્વરની સત્તા વિષે હું તમને શીખવીશ. સર્વશક્તિમાનની યોજના હું છુપાવીશ નહિ.

I will teache you what is in the hande of God, and I wil not conceale that which is with the Almightie.

12 ૧૨ જુઓ, તમે તમારી પોતાની આંખોથી તે જોયું છે; છતાં મારી સાથે તમે શા માટે વ્યર્થ વાતો કરો છો?

Beholde, all ye your selues haue seene it: why then doe you thus vanish in vanitie?

13 ૧૩ ઈશ્વર પાસેથી દુષ્ટ માણસનો હિસ્સો, તથા સર્વશક્તિમાન પાસેથી દુષ્ટોને મળતો વારસો આ છે

This is the portion of a wicked man with God, and the heritage of tyrants, which they shall receiue of the Almightie.

14 ૧૪ જો તેમનાં સંતાનોની વૃદ્ધિ થાય, તો તે તલવારથી હત્યા થવા માટે છે. અને તેના વંશજો ભૂખમરાને કારણે મૃત્યુ પામશે.

If his children be in great nomber, the sworde shall destroy them, and his posteritie shall not be satisfied with bread.

15 ૧૫ તેમાંથી જેઓ બચી જશે તેઓ રોગ અને મૃત્યુનો ભોગ બનશે. અને તેઓની વિધવા શોક કરશે નહિ.

His remnant shall be buried in death, and his widowes shall not weepe.

16 ૧૬ જો કે દુષ્ટ માણસ ધૂળની જેમ રૂપાના ઢગલેઢગલા એકત્ર કરે, અને કાદવની જેમ પુષ્કળ વસ્ત્ર બનાવી દે,

Though he shoulde heape vp siluer as the dust, and prepare rayment as the clay,

17 ૧૭ તો તે ભલે બનાવે, પરંતુ ન્યાયીઓ તે વસ્ત્રો પહેરશે, અને નિર્દોષ લોકો તે ચાંદી માંહોમાંહે વહેંચી લેશે.

He may prepare it, but the iust shall put it on, and the innocent shall deuide the siluer.

18 ૧૮ કરોળિયાનાં જાળાં જેવા અને ચોકીદારે બાંધેલા છાપરાની જેમ, તે પોતાનું ઘર બાંધે છે.

He buildeth his house as the moth, and as a lodge that the watchman maketh.

19 ૧૯ તે આરામથી પોતાની પથારીમાં સૂઈ જાય છે, પણ તેને આરામ મળશે નહિ; પણ જ્યારે તે પોતાની આંખ ખોલે છે ત્યારે સઘળું તેની સમક્ષથી જતું રહે છે.

When the rich man sleepeth, he shall not be gathered to his fathers: they opened their eyes, and he was gone.

20 ૨૦ રેલની જેમ ત્રાસ તેને પકડી પાડે છે; રાત્રે તોફાન તેને ચોરીને લઈ જાય છે.

Terrours shall take him as waters, and a tempest shall cary him away by night.

21 ૨૧ પૂર્વનો વાયુ તેને ઉડાવીને લઈ જાય છે, એટલે તે લોપ થાય છે; તે તેને તેની જગાએથી બહાર ખેંચી જાય છે.

The East winde shall take him away, and he shall depart: and it shall hurle him out of his place.

22 ૨૨ કેમ કે તે વાયુ તેનાં તરફ બાણ ફેંકશે અને દયા રાખશે નહિ; તે તેમના હાથમાંથી નાસી જવા માટે વ્યર્થ પ્રયત્ન કરે છે.

And God shall cast vpon him and not spare, though he would faine flee out of his hand.

23 ૨૩ તેના હાથો તાળી પાડીને તેની સામે ઠેકડી ઉડાવશે; તેની જગ્યાએથી તેનો ફિટકાર કરશે.

Euery man shall clap their hands at him, and hisse at him out of their place.
