યશાયા 6
1 ૧ ઉઝિયા રાજા મરણ પામ્યો તે વર્ષે મેં પ્રભુને જોયા, તે ઉચ્ચ અને ઉન્નત રાજ્યાસન પર બેઠેલા હતા. તેમના ઝભ્ભાની કિનારીથી સભાસ્થાન ભરાઈ ગયું હતું.
In the year that king Uzziah died I saw the Lord sitting upon a throne, high and lifted up, and his train filled the temple.
2 ૨ તેમની આસપાસ સરાફો ઊભા હતા; તેઓને દરેકને છ છ પાંખો હતી; બેથી તે પોતાનાં મુખ ઢાંકતા, બેથી પોતાનાં પગ ઢાંકતા અને બેથી ઊડતા હતા.
Above him stood the seraphim. Each one had six wings, with two he covered his face, and with two he covered his feet, and with two he flew.
3 ૩ તેઓ એકબીજાને પોકારીને કહેતા, “પવિત્ર, પવિત્ર, પવિત્ર છે સૈન્યોના યહોવાહ! આખી પૃથ્વી તેમના ગૌરવથી ભરપૂર છે.”
And one cried to another, and said, Holy, holy, holy, is Jehovah of hosts. The whole earth is full of his glory.
And the foundations of the thresholds shook at the voice of him who cried, and the house was filled with vapor.
5 ૫ ત્યારે મેં કહ્યું, “મને અફસોસ છે! મારું આવી બન્યું છે કારણ કે હું અશુદ્ધ હોઠોનો માણસ છું અને અશુદ્ધ હોઠોના લોકોમાં હું રહું છું, કેમ કે મારી આંખોએ રાજાને, એટલે સૈન્યોના યહોવાહને જોયા છે!”
Then I said, Woe is me! For I am undone, because I am a man of unclean lips, and I dwell in the midst of a people of unclean lips. For my eyes have seen the King, Jehovah of hosts.
Then one of the seraphim flew to me, having a live coal in his hand, which he had taken with the tongs from off the altar.
7 ૭ તેણે મારા મુખને તે અડકાડીને કહ્યું, “જો, આ તારા હોઠને અડક્યો છે; એટલે તારો દોષ દૂર કરવામાં આવ્યો છે અને તારા પાપ માફ થયું છે.”
And he touched my mouth with it, and said, Lo, this has touched thy lips, and thine iniquity is taken away, and thy sin forgiven.
8 ૮ મેં પ્રભુને એમ કહેતા સાંભળ્યા, “હું કોને મોકલું? અમારે માટે કોણ જશે?” ત્યારે મેં કહ્યું, “હું આ રહ્યો; મને મોકલો.”
And I heard the voice of the Lord, saying, Whom shall I send, and who will go for us? Then I said, Lo, send me.
And he said, Go, and tell this people, Hear ye indeed, but do not understand, and see ye indeed, but do not perceive.
10 ૧૦ આ લોકોનાં મન જડ કરો અને તેઓના કાન બહેરા કરો અને આંખો અંધ કરો, રખેને તેઓ આંખોથી જુએ કે કાનથી સાંભળે અને મનથી સમજે અને પાછા ફરીને સાજા કરાય.”
Make the heart of this people fat, and make their ears heavy, and shut their eyes, lest they see with their eyes, and hear with their ears, and understand with their heart, and turn, and be healed.
11 ૧૧ ત્યારે મેં પૂછ્યું, “હે પ્રભુ, તે ક્યાં સુધી?” તેમણે કહ્યું, “જ્યાં સુધી નગરો વસ્તી વિનાનાં અને ઘરો માણસ વિનાનાં થાય અને ભૂમિ વેરાન થઈ જાય,
Then I said, Lord, how long? And he answered, Until cities be waste without inhabitant, and houses without man, and the land become utterly waste,
and Jehovah has removed men far away, and the forsaken places be many in the midst of the land.
13 ૧૩ તે છતાં જો તેમાં લોકોનો દશમો ભાગ પણ રહે, તો તેનો ફરીથી વિનાશ કરવામાં આવશે; જેમ એલાહવૃક્ષ કે એલોન વૃક્ષ કાપી નાખવામાં આવ્યા પછી થડ રહે છે, તે પ્રમાણે પવિત્ર બીજ તેની જડમાં છે.”
And if there be yet a tenth in it, it also shall in turn be eaten up. As a terebinth, and as an oak, whose stock remains when they are felled, so the holy seed is the stock of it.
