યશાયા 32

1 ૧ જુઓ, એક રાજા ન્યાયથી રાજ કરશે અને રાજકુમારો ઇનસાફથી શાસન કરશે.

For, behold, a righteous king shall reign, and princes shall govern with judgment.

2 ૨ તેમાંનો દરેક માણસ વાયુથી આશ્રયસ્થાન અને વાવાઝોડા સામે આશરા જેવો, સૂકી ભૂમિમાં પાણીના નાળાં જેવો, કંટાળાજનક દેશમાં એક વિશાળ ખડકની છાયા જેવો થશે.

And a man shall hide his words, and be hidden, as from rushing water, and shall appear in Sion as a rushing river, glorious in a thirsty land.

3 ૩ પછી જોનારની આંખો ઝાંખી થશે નહિ અને જેઓ સાંભળી શકે છે તેઓના કાન ધ્યાનપૂર્વક સાંભળશે.

And they shall no more trust in men, but they shall incline their ears to hear.

4 ૪ ઉતાવળિયાઓનાં મન ડહાપણ સમજશે અને મૂંગાઓની જીભ સ્પષ્ટ બોલશે.

And the heart of the weak ones shall attend to hear, and the stammering tongues shall soon learn to speak peace.

5 ૫ ત્યારે મૂર્ખને કોઈ ખાનદાન કહેશે નહિ, કે ઠગ નીતિમાન કહેવાશે નહિ.

And they shall no more at all tell a fool to rule, and thy servants shall no more at all say, Be silent.

6 ૬ કેમ કે મૂર્ખ મૂર્ખાઈની જ વાત બોલશે અને તેનું હૃદય દુષ્ટ યોજનાઓ કરશે અને તે અધર્મનાં કાર્યો અને યહોવાહ વિષે ભૂલભરેલી વાત બોલશે. તે ભૂખ્યાઓને અતૃપ્ત રાખશે અને તરસ્યાઓને પીવાનું પાણી આપશે નહિ.

For the fool shall speak foolish words, and his heart shall meditate vanities, and to perform lawless deeds and to speak error against the Lord, to scatter hungry souls, and he will cause the thirsty souls to be empty.

7 ૭ ઠગની રીતો દુષ્ટ છે. જ્યારે દરિદ્રી કહે છે કે સત્ય શું છે તોપણ તે દરિદ્રીને જૂઠી વાતોથી નાશ કરવાને માટે દુષ્ટ યુકિત યોજે છે.

For the counsel of the wicked will devise iniquity, to destroy the poor with unjust words, and ruin the cause of the poor in judgment.

8 ૮ પણ ઉદાર વ્યક્તિ ઉદારતાની યોજના બનાવે છે; અને તેના ઉદારતા કાર્ય માં તે સ્થિર રહેશે.

But the godly have devised wise [measures], and this counsel shall stand.

9 ૯ સુખી સ્ત્રીઓ, ઊઠો અને મારી વાણી સાંભળો; હે બેદરકાર દીકરીઓ, મને સાંભળો.

Rise up, ye rich women, and hear my voice; ye confident daughters, hearken to my words.

10 ૧૦ હે બેદરકાર સ્ત્રીઓ, એક વર્ષ ઉપરાંત કેટલાક દિવસો પછી તમારો વિશ્વાસ ઊઠી જશે, કેમ કે દ્રાક્ષાની ઊપજ બંધ થશે અને તેને એકત્ર કરવાનો સમય આવશે નહિ.

Remember for a full year in pain, yet with hope: the vintage has been cut off; it has ceased, it shall by no means come again.

11 ૧૧ હે સુખી સ્ત્રીઓ, કાંપો; વિશ્વાસુ સ્ત્રીઓ તમે મુશ્કેલીમાં મુકાશો; તમારા રોજબરોજનાં વસ્રો કાઢીને નિર્વસ્ત્ર થાઓ; કમર પર ટાટ બાંધો.

Be amazed, be pained, ye confident ones: strip you, bare yourselves, gird your loins;

12 ૧૨ તમે આનંદદાયક ખેતરોને માટે, ફળદાયક દ્રાક્ષવેલાને માટે આક્રંદ કરશો.

and beat your breasts, because of the pleasant field, and the fruit of the vine.

13 ૧૩ મારા લોકોની ભૂમિ પર કાંટા તથા ઝાંખરાં ઊગી નીકળશે, ઉલ્લાસી નગરનાં સર્વ આનંદભર્યાં ઘર પર તેઓ ઊગશે.

[As for] the land of my people, the thorn and grass shall come upon [it], and joy shall be removed from every house.

14 ૧૪ કેમ કે, રાજમહેલનો ત્યાગ કરવામાં આવશે, વસ્તીવાળું નગર ઉજ્જડ થશે; ટેકરી તથા બુરજ સર્વકાળ સુધી કોતર જેવાં, રાની ગધેડાના આનંદનું સ્થાન અને ઘેટાંનું ચરવાનું સ્થાન થશે;

[As for] the rich city, the houses are deserted; they shall abandon the wealth of the city, [and] the pleasant houses: and the villages shall be caves for ever, the joy of wild asses, shepherds' pastures;

15 ૧૫ જ્યાં સુધી કે ઉપરથી આત્મા આપણા પર રેડાય અને અરણ્ય ફળદ્રુપ વાડી થાય અને ફળદ્રુપ વાડી વન સમાન બને ત્યાં સુધી એવું થશે.

until the Spirit shall come upon you from on high, and Chermel shall be desert, and Chermel shall be counted for a forest.

16 ૧૬ પછી ઇનસાફ અરણ્યમાં વસશે; અને ન્યાયપણું ફળદ્રુપ વાડીમાં રહેશે.

Then judgment shall abide in the wilderness, and righteousness shall dwell in Carmel.

17 ૧૭ ન્યાયીપણાનું કામ શાંતિ અને ન્યાયીપણાનું પરિણામ સર્વકાળનો વિશ્રામ અને વિશ્વાસ થશે.

And the works of righteousness shall be peace; and righteousness shall ensure rest, and [the righteous] shall be confident for ever.

18 ૧૮ મારા લોકો શાંતિના સ્થાનમાં, સુરક્ષિત આવાસોમાં તથા સ્વસ્થ વિશ્રામસ્થાનોમાં રહેશે.

And his people shall inhabit a city of peace, and dwell in [it] in confidence, and they shall rest with wealth.

19 ૧૯ પરંતુ જંગલના પતન સમયે કરા પડશે અને નગર જમીનદોસ્ત કરવામાં આવશે.

And if the hail should come down, it shall not come upon you; and they that dwell in the forests shall be in confidence, as those in the plain country.

20 ૨૦ તમે જેઓ સર્વ ઝરણાંની પાસે વાવો છો અને તમારા બળદ અને ગધેડાને છૂટથી ચરવા મોકલો છો, તેઓ પરમસુખી છે.

Blessed are they that sow by every water, where the ox and ass tread.
