હોશિયા 6

1 ૧ “આવો આપણે યહોવાહની પાસે પાછા જઈએ. કેમ કે તેમણે આપણને ચીરી નાખ્યા છે, તેઓ જ આપણને સાજા કરશે; તેમણે આપણને ઘા કર્યા છે, તેઓ જ આપણને પાટો બાંધશે.

Come, and let us return to the LORD: for he hath torn, and he will heal us; he hath smitten, and he will bind us up.

2 ૨ બે દિવસ પછી તેઓ આપણને સચેત કરશે; ત્રીજે દિવસે તેઓ આપણને ઉઠાડશે, આપણે તેમની આગળ જીવતા રહીશું.

After two days will he revive us: in the third day will he raise us up, and we shall live in his sight.

3 ૩ ચાલો આપણે યહોવાહને જાણીએ, યહોવાહને ઓળખવાને ખંતથી મહેનત કરીએ. તેમનું આવવું ઊગતા સૂરજની જેમ નિશ્ચિત છે. તે વરસાદની જેમ, વસંતઋતુમાં પૃથ્વીને સિંચનાર છેલ્લા વરસાદની જેમ આવશે.

Then shall we know, [if] we follow on to know the LORD: his going forth is prepared as the morning; and he will come to us as the rain, as the latter [and] former rain to the earth.

4 ૪ હે એફ્રાઇમ હું તને શું કરું? હે યહૂદિયા હું તને શું કરું? તમારી વિશ્વાસનીયતા સવારના વાદળ જેવી છે, ઝડપથી ઊડી જનાર ઝાકળ જેવી છે.

O Ephraim, what shall I do to thee? O Judah, what shall I do to thee? for your goodness [is] as the morning cloud, and as the early dew it goeth away.

5 ૫ માટે મેં તેઓને પ્રબોધકો દ્વારા કતલ કર્યા છે, મેં મારા મુખનાં વચનોથી તેઓનો સંહાર કર્યો છે. મારા ન્યાયચુકાદા પ્રગટતા અજવાળારૂપ છે.

Therefore have I hewed [them] by the prophets; I have slain them by the words of my mouth: and thy judgments [are as] the light [that] goeth forth.

6 ૬ કેમ કે હું વિશ્વાસુપણું ચાહું છું અને બલિદાન નહિ, દહનીયાર્પણો કરતાં ઈશ્વરનું ડહાપણ ચાહું છું.

For I desired mercy, and not sacrifice: and the knowledge of God more than burnt-offerings.

7 ૭ તેઓએ આદમની જેમ મારા કરારનું ઉલ્લંઘન કર્યું છે; તેઓ મારી સાથે અવિશ્વાસુ રહ્યા છે.

But they like men have transgressed the covenant: there have they dealt treacherously against me.

8 ૮ ગિલ્યાદ દુષ્કર્મીઓનું નગર છે, રક્તના નિશાનથી ભરેલું છે.

Gilead [is] a city of them that work iniquity, [and is] polluted with blood.

9 ૯ જેમ લૂંટારાઓનાં ટોળાં કોઈની રાહ જુએ છે, તેમ યાજકોનું ટોળું શખેમના રસ્તા પર લોકોનું ખૂન કરે છે; તેઓએ શરમજનક અપરાધો કર્યા છે.

And as troops of robbers wait for a man, [so] the company of priests murder in the way by consent: for they commit lewdness.

10 ૧૦ ઇઝરાયલ લોકોમાં મેં ભયાનક બાબત જોઈ છે; ત્યાં એફ્રાઇમમાં વ્યભિચાર જોવા મળ્યો છે, ઇઝરાયલ ભ્રષ્ટ થયો છે.

I have seen a horrible thing in the house of Israel: there [is] the prostitution of Ephraim, Israel is defiled.

11 ૧૧ હે યહૂદિયા, જ્યારે હું મારા લોકોને ગુલામગીરીમાંથી પાછા લાવીશ, ત્યારે તારા માટે કાપણી ઠરાવેલી છે.

Also, O Judah, he hath set a harvest for thee, when I returned the captivity of my people.
