હિબ્રૂઓને પત્ર 4
1 ૧ એ માટે આપણે ડરવું જોઈએ એમ ન થાય, કે તેમના વિશ્રામમાં પ્રવેશ પામવાનું આશાવચન હજી એવું ને એવું હોવા છતાં તમારામાંનો કોઈ કદાચ ત્યાં પહોંચવામાં નિષ્ફળ થાય.

2 ૨ કેમ કે જેમ ઇઝરાયલીઓને તેમ આપણને પણ સુવાર્તા પ્રગટ કરવામાં આવેલી છે; પણ સાંભળેલી વાત તેઓને લાભકારક થઈ નહિ. જેઓએ ધ્યાન દઈને સાંભળ્યું તેઓની સાથે તેઓ વિશ્વાસમાં સહમત થયા નહિ.

3 ૩ આપણે વિશ્વાસ કરનારાઓ વિશ્રામમાં પ્રવેશ પામીએ છીએ, જેમ તેમણે કહ્યું છે કે, ‘મેં મારા ક્રોધાવેશમાં સમ ખાધા કે, તેઓ મારા વિશ્રામમાં પ્રવેશ પામશે નહિ,’ જોકે કે કામો તો સૃષ્ટિના આરંભથી પૂર્ણ થયેલાં હતાં.
