હઝકિયેલ 29
In the tenth year, in the tenth month, on the twelfth day of the month, came the word of the Lord unto me, saying,
2 ૨ હે મનુષ્યપુત્ર, મિસરના રાજા ફારુન તરફ મુખ ફેરવ; તેની અને તેના આખા મિસરની વિરુદ્ધ ભવિષ્યવાણી ઉચ્ચાર.
Son of man, set thy face against Pharaoh the king of Egypt, and prophesy against him, and against all Egypt.
3 ૩ અને કહે કે, પ્રભુ યહોવાહ આમ કહે છે: જો, હે મિસરના રાજા ફારુન, હે નદીમાં પડી રહેનાર, “આ નદી મારી છે, મારે પોતાને માટે બનાવી છે.” એવું કહેનાર મોટા અજગર, હું તારી વિરુદ્ધ છું!
Speak and say, Thus hath said the Lord Eternal, Behold, I will be against thee, O Pharaoh king of Egypt, the great crocodile that lieth in the midst of his streams, who hath said, Mine is my stream, and I have made it for myself.
4 ૪ કેમ કે હું તારા જડબામાં આંકડી પરોવીશ, તારી નીલ નદીની માછલીઓ તારાં ભિંગડાને ચોંટાડીશ; તારા ભિંગડાંમાં ચોંટેલી તારી નદીની બધી માછલીઓ સાથે હું તને નદીમાંથી બહાર ખેંચી કાઢીશ.
But I will put hooks in thy jaws, and I will fasten the fish of thy streams on thy scales; and I will bring thee up out of the midst of thy streams, with all the fish of thy streams which shall stick fast on thy scales.
5 ૫ હું તને તથા તારી સાથેની નદીની બધી માછલીઓને અરણ્યમાં ફેંકી દઈશ. તું ખેતરની જમીન ઉપર પડી રહેશે. કોઈ તારી ખબર કરશે નહિ કે કોઈ તને ઊંચકશે નહિ. મેં તને પૃથ્વીનાં જીવતાં પશુઓને તથા આકાશના પક્ષીઓને ખોરાક તરીકે આપ્યો છે.
And I will cast thee out into the wilderness, thee with all the fish of thy streams; upon the open field shalt thou fall; thou shalt not be brought in, nor gathered up: to the beasts of the field and to the fowls of the heaven have I given thee for food.
6 ૬ ત્યારે મિસરના બધા રહેવાસીઓ જાણશે કે હું યહોવાહ છું, તેઓ ઇઝરાયલીઓને માટે બરુની લાકડીના ટેકા જેવા થયા છે.
And all the inhabitants of Egypt shall know that I am the Lord; because they have been a reed-staff to the house of Israel.
7 ૭ જ્યારે તેઓએ તને હાથમાં પકડ્યો ત્યારે તું નાસી છૂટ્યો, તેં સર્વના ખભા ચીરી નાખ્યા. જ્યારે તેઓએ તારા પર ટેકો લીધો, ત્યારે તેં તેઓના પગ ભાગી નાખ્યા અને તેઓની કમરો ઢીલી કરી નાખી.
When they took hold of thee with the hand, thou wast cracked, and didst rend for them all the shoulder: and when they leaned upon thee, thou wast broken, and madest all their loins to be at a stand.
8 ૮ તેથી પ્રભુ યહોવાહ આમ કહે છે: હે, મિસર, હું તારી વિરુદ્ધ તલવાર ઉઠાવીશ; તારામાંથી માણસ તથા જાનવરો બંનેનો નાશ કરીશ.
Therefore thus hath said the Lord Eternal, Behold, I will bring a sword upon thee, and I will cut off out of thee man and beast.
9 ૯ મિસર દેશ વેરાન તથા ઉજ્જડ થઈ જશે; ત્યારે લોકો જાણશે કે હું યહોવાહ છું, કેમ કે તે બોલ્યો છે કે “નદી મારી છે અને મેં તે બનાવી છે.”
And the land of Egypt shall be changed into a waste and ruin, and they shall know that I am the Lord; because he hath said, The stream is mine, and I have made it.
10 ૧૦ તેથી, જો, હું તારી અને તારી નદીની વિરુદ્ધ છું, હું મિસરને મિગ્દોલથી સૈયેને સુધી એટલે છેક કૂશની સરહદો સુધી વેરાન તથા ઉજ્જડ બનાવી દઈશ.
Therefore, behold, I will be against thee, and against thy streams, and I will render the land of Egypt a mass of ruins, a waste, and a wilderness, from Migdol to Seveneh even up to the border of Ethiopia.
11 ૧૧ કોઈ માણસનો પગ તેમાં ફરશે નહિ, કોઈ પશુનો પગ તેમાં ફરશે નહિ, અને ચાળીસ વર્ષ સુધી તેમાં કોઈ વસ્તી પણ રહેશે નહિ.
There shall not pass through it the foot of man, and the foot of beast shall not pass through it, and it shall not be inhabited forty years.
12 ૧૨ રહેવાસીઓના દેશો વચ્ચે હું મિસર દેશને ઉજ્જડ બનાવીશ, તેનાં નગરો પાયમાલ થઈ ગયેલાં નગરોની જેમ ચાળીસ વર્ષ સુધી ઉજ્જડ થઈ જશે, હું મિસરવાસીઓને પ્રજાઓમાં વિખેરી નાખીશ, અને તેઓને દેશોમાં વેરી નાખીશ.
And I will render the land of Egypt a desolate land in the midst of desolated countries, and her cities among the cities that are ruined shall be desolate forty years: and I will scatter the Egyptians among the nations, and will disperse them through the countries.
13 ૧૩ પ્રભુ યહોવાહ આમ કહે છે: ચાળીસ વર્ષને અંતે મિસરીઓ જે પ્રજાઓમાં વેરવિખેર થઈ ગયેલા હશે તેઓમાંથી તેઓને પાછા એકત્ર કરીશ.
For thus hath said the Lord Eternal, [only] at the end of forty years will I gather the Egyptians from the people whither they shall have been scattered;
14 ૧૪ હું મિસરની જાહોજલાલી પુન: સ્થાપિત કરીશ અને હું તેઓને પાથ્રોસ દેશમાં, તેઓની જન્મભૂમિમાં પાછા લાવીશ. ત્યાં તેઓ એ નબળા રાજ્યમાં રહેશે.
And I will bring back the captivity of Egypt, and will cause them to return into the land of Pathros, into the land of their own origin: and they shall be there an unimportant kingdom.
15 ૧૫ તે સૌથી નીચું રાજ્ય હશે, અને તે કદી બીજી પ્રજાઓ સામે ઊંચું કરવામાં આવશે નહિ. હું તેઓને એવા ઘટાડી દઈશ કે તેઓ બીજી પ્રજાઓ પર રાજ કરી શકશે નહિ.
Among the kingdoms it shall be the lowest; neither shall it raise itself any more above the nations: and I will diminish them, that they shall no more rule over the nations.
16 ૧૬ તેઓ કદી ઇઝરાયલી લોકોને ભરોસાપાત્ર થશે નહિ, અન્યાયનું સ્મરણ કરીને તેઓ પોતાનાં મુખ મિસર તરફ ફેરવશે. ત્યારે તેઓ જાણશે કે હું પ્રભુ યહોવાહ છું!”
And it shall be no more unto the house of Israel for a dependence, bringing [their] iniquity to remembrance, when they turned after them: and they shall know that I am the Lord Eternal.
And it came to pass in the seven and twentieth year, in the first month, on the first of the month, that the word of the Lord came unto me, saying,
18 ૧૮ “હે મનુષ્યપુત્ર, બાબિલના રાજા નબૂખાદનેસ્સારે પોતાના સૈન્ય પાસે તૂરના સૈન્ય વિરુદ્ધ સખત મહેનત કરાવી છે. તેઓના વાળ ખરી પડ્યા અને તેઓના ખભા છોલાઈ ગયા. તેમ છતાં તૂરની વિરુદ્ધ તેઓએ જે સખત મહેનત કરી તેના બદલામાં તેને કે તેના સૈન્યને તૂર પાસેથી કશું વેતન મળ્યું નહિ.
Son of man, Nebuchadrezzar the king of Babylon hath caused his army to perform a great service against Tyre; every head hath been made bald, and every shoulder hath been rubbed sore: yet no reward hath come to him or to his army from Tyre, for the service that he hath performed against it.
19 ૧૯ તેથી પ્રભુ યહોવાહ આમ કહે છે કે, જુઓ, હું મિસરનો દેશ બાબિલના રાજા નબૂખાદનેસ્સારને આપીશ, તે તેની સર્વ સંપત્તિ લઈ લેશે, તેની લૂંટનો કબજો કરશે, તેને જે મળ્યું છે તે બધું લઈ લેશે; તે તેના સૈન્યનું વેતન થશે.
Therefore thus hath said the Lord Eternal, Behold, I will give unto Nebuchadrezzar the king of Babylon the land of Egypt; and he shall carry away its multitude, and take its spoil, and plunder its prey: and this shall be the reward for his army.
As his recompense for that which he hath served against it, have I given him the land of Egypt, for that which they had done against me, saith the Lord Eternal.
21 ૨૧ “તે દિવસે ઇઝરાયલી લોકોમાં એક શિંગડાં ફૂટી નીકળશે એવું હું કરીશ, હું તેઓ મધ્યે તને બોલતો કરીશ, ત્યારે તેઓ જાણશે કે હું યહોવાહ છું.”
On that day will I cause to grow a horn for the house of Israel, and unto thee will I open the mouth in the midst of them: and they shall know that I am the Lord.
