હઝકિયેલ 28
The word of Jehovah came again to me, saying,
2 ૨ “હે મનુષ્યપુત્ર, તૂરના અધિકારીને કહે કે, ‘પ્રભુ યહોવાહ આમ કહે છે: તારું મન ગર્વિષ્ઠ થયું છે! તેં કહ્યું છે, “હું ઈશ્વર છું! હું ભરસમુદ્ર પર ઈશ્વરના આસન પર બેઠો છું.” જોકે તેં તારા મનને દેવને દરજ્જે બેસાડ્યું છે, તોપણ તું માણસ છે, ઈશ્વર નહિ.
Son of man, say to the ruler of Tyre, Thus says the lord Jehovah: Because thy heart is lifted up, and thou have said, I am a god. I sit in the seat of God, in the midst of the seas. Yet thou are man, and not God, though thou did set thy heart as the heart of God.
Behold, thou are wiser than Daniel. There is no secret that is hidden from thee.
By thy wisdom and by thine understanding thou have gotten thee riches, and have gotten gold and silver into thy treasures.
5 ૫ તારા પુષ્કળ ડહાપણથી તથા તારા વેપારથી, તેં તારી સમૃદ્ધિ વધારી છે, તારી સમૃદ્ધિને લીધે તારું મન ગર્વિષ્ઠ થયું છે.
By thy great wisdom and by thy traffic thou have increased thy riches. And thy heart is lifted up because of thy riches.
Therefore thus says the lord Jehovah: Because thou have set thy heart as the heart of God,
7 ૭ તેથી હું પરદેશીઓને, દુષ્ટ પ્રજાઓને તારી વિરુદ્ધ લાવીશ. તેઓ તારા ડહાપણની શોભા વિરુદ્ધ તલવાર ખેંચશે, તેઓ તારા વૈભવને અપવિત્ર કરશે.
therefore, behold, I will bring strangers upon thee, the terrible of the nations, and they shall draw their swords against the beauty of thy wisdom, and they shall defile thy brightness.
They shall bring thee down to the pit, and thou shall die the death of those who are slain, in the heart of the seas.
9 ૯ ત્યારે પણ શું તું તને મારી નાખનારને એમ કહીશ કે, “હું ઈશ્વર છું?” પણ તને વધ કરનારાઓનાં હાથમાં તું તો માણસ છે, ઈશ્વર નથી.
Will thou yet say before him who slays thee, I am God? But thou are man, and not God, in the hand of him who wounds thee.
10 ૧૦ તું બેસુન્નતીઓની જેમ પરદેશીઓના હાથે મૃત્યુ પામશે. કેમ કે પ્રભુ યહોવાહ કહે છે!’ હું તે બોલ્યો છું.”
Thou shall die the death of the uncircumcised by the hand of strangers. For I have spoken it, says the lord Jehovah.
Moreover the word of Jehovah came to me, saying,
12 ૧૨ “હે મનુષ્યપુત્ર, તૂરના રાજાને માટે વિલાપગીત ગા. તેને કહે કે, ‘પ્રભુ યહોવાહ આમ કહે છે: તું સંપૂર્ણતાનો નમૂનો હતો, તું ડહાપણથી ભરપૂર અને સૌદર્યમાં સંપૂર્ણ હતો.
Son of man, take up a lamentation over the king of Tyre, and say to him, Thus says the lord Jehovah: Thou seal up the sum, full of wisdom, and perfect in beauty.
13 ૧૩ તું ઈશ્વરના એદન બગીચામાં હતો, તું બધી જાતનાં મૂલ્યવાન રત્નો, હીરા, માણેક, પોખરાજ, નીલમણિ, પીરોજ, ગોમેદ, યાસપિસ, લીલમણિ તથા અગ્નિમણિથી આભૂષિત હતો. તારાં આભૂષણો સોનાનાં હતાં. તારા જન્મ દિવસે તારે માટે બનાવવામાં આવ્યાં હતાં.
Thou were in Eden, the garden of God. Every precious stone was thy covering, the sardius, the topaz, and the diamond, the beryl, the onyx, and the jasper, the sapphire, the emerald, and the carbuncle, and gold. The workmanship of thy tambourine and of thy pipes was in thee. In the day that thou were created they were prepared.
14 ૧૪ તું રક્ષણ કરનાર અભિષિક્ત કરુબ હતો; મેં તને ઈશ્વરના પવિત્ર પર્વત પર સ્થાપ્યો હતો. અગ્નિના ચળકતા પથ્થરો પર ચાલતો હતો.
Thou were the anointed cherub who covers. And I set thee, so that thou were upon the holy mountain of God. Thou have walked up and down in the midst of the stones of fire.
Thou were perfect in thy ways from the day that thou were created, till unrighteousness was found in thee.
16 ૧૬ તારા વધતા જતા વ્યાપારથી તું હિંસાખોર થઈ ગયો, તેં પાપ કર્યું. આથી મેં તને ભ્રષ્ટ ગણીને ઈશ્વરના પવિત્ર પર્વત પરથી ફેંકી દીધો છે. હે રક્ષણ કરનાર કરુબ, અગ્નિના પથ્થરોમાંથી મેં તારો વિનાશ કર્યો છે.
By the abundance of thy commerce they filled the midst of thee with violence, and thou have sinned. Therefore I have cast thee out of the mountain of God as profane, and I have destroyed thee, O covering cherub, from the midst of the stones of fire.
17 ૧૭ તારા સૌદર્યને કારણે તારું મન ગર્વિષ્ઠ થયું હતું; તારા વૈભવને કારણે તેં તારી બુદ્ધિ ભ્રષ્ટ કરી છે. મેં તને જમીનદોસ્ત કરી નાખ્યો છે! બીજા રાજાઓ તને જુએ માટે મેં તને તેઓની આગળ બેસાડ્યો છે.
Thy heart was lifted up because of thy beauty. Thou have corrupted thy wisdom because of thy brightness. I have cast thee to the ground. I have laid thee before kings, that they may behold thee.
18 ૧૮ તારાં ઘણાં પાપોથી અને તારા વેપારમાં દગા કરીને, તેં તારા પવિત્રસ્થાનો ભ્રષ્ટ કર્યાં છે! આથી, મેં તારામાં અગ્નિ સળગાવ્યો છે; તે તને ભસ્મ કરશે. તને જોનારા સૌની નજરમાં મેં તને રાખ કરી નાખ્યો છે.
By the multitude of thine iniquities, in the unrighteousness of thy commerce, thou have profaned thy sanctuaries. Therefore I have brought forth a fire from the midst of thee. It has devoured thee, and I have turned thee to ashes upon the earth in the sight of all those who behold thee.
All those who know thee among the peoples shall be astonished at thee. Thou have become a horror, and thou shall nevermore have any being.
And the word of Jehovah came to me, saying,
Son of man, set thy face toward Sidon, and prophesy against it,
22 ૨૨ કહે કે, પ્રભુ યહોવાહ આમ કહે છે: જુઓ, હે સિદોન, હું તારી વિરુદ્ધ છું. કેમ કે હું તારામાં મારો મહિમા પામીશ, હું તેનો ન્યાય કરીને સજા કરીશ ત્યારે લોકો જાણશે કે હું યહોવાહ છું. હું તારામાં પવિત્ર મનાઈશ.
and say, Thus says the lord Jehovah: Behold, I am against thee, O Sidon. And I will be glorified in the midst of thee. And they shall know that I am Jehovah, when I shall have executed judgments in her, and shall be sanctified in her.
23 ૨૩ હું તારી અંદર મરકી તથા તારી શેરીઓમાં ખૂનામરકી મોકલીશ, હત્યા કરાયેલા તેમાં પડશે. જ્યારે તલવાર તારી વિરુદ્ધ ચારેબાજુથી આવશે, ત્યારે તું જાણશે કે હું યહોવાહ છું!
For I will send pestilence into her, and blood into her streets. And the wounded shall fall in the midst of her, with the sword upon her on every side. And they shall know that I am Jehovah.
24 ૨૪ ઇઝરાયલી લોકોનો તિરસ્કાર કરનારી આજુબાજુની પ્રજાઓ હવે કદી તેઓને ભોંકાતા કાંટા કે ઝાંખરાંની જેમ હેરાન નહિ કરે, ત્યારે તેઓ જાણશે કે હું પ્રભુ યહોવાહ છું!’”
And there shall no more be a pricking brier to the house of Israel, nor a hurting thorn of any who are round about them, who did spite to them. And they shall know that I am the lord Jehovah.
25 ૨૫ પ્રભુ યહોવાહ આમ કહે છે: ‘ઇઝરાયલી લોકો જે પ્રજાઓમાં વેરવિખેર થઈ ગયેલા છે, તેમાંથી હું તેઓને એકત્ર કરીશ, અને જ્યારે હું પ્રજાઓના દેખતાં તેઓમાં પવિત્ર મનાઈશ, ત્યારે તેઓ પોતાના દેશમાં એટલે જે દેશ મેં મારા સેવક યાકૂબને આપ્યો હતો તેમાં ઘરો બનાવશે.
Thus says the lord Jehovah: When I shall have gathered the house of Israel from the peoples among whom they are scattered, and shall be sanctified in them in the sight of the nations, then they shall dwell in their own land which I gave to my servant Jacob.
26 ૨૬ તેઓ તેમાં સુરક્ષિત રહેશે અને ઘરો બાંધશે, દ્રાક્ષવાડીઓ રોપશે, તેઓની સાથે દુર્વ્યવહાર કરનારી આજુબાજુની પ્રજાઓનો ન્યાય કરીને હું સજા કરીશ; ત્યારે તેઓ જાણશે કે હું યહોવાહ તેઓનો ઈશ્વર છું!”
And they shall dwell securely therein. Yea, they shall build houses, and plant vineyards, and shall dwell securely, when I have executed judgments upon all those who do them spite round about them. And they shall know that I am Jehovah their God.
