નિર્ગમન 1
1 ૧ ઇઝરાયલના જે પુત્રો પોતાના કુટુંબકબીલા સહિત તેઓના પિતા યાકૂબ સાથે મિસર દેશમાં આવ્યા તેઓનાં નામ આ છે:
And these [are] [the] names of [the] sons of Israel who went Egypt towards with Jacob everyone and household his they went.
Reuben Simeon Levi and Judah.
Issachar Zebulun and Benjamin.
Dan and Naphtali Gad and Asher.
And it was every person [who] came out of [the] thigh of Jacob seventy person[s] and Joseph he was in Egypt.
And he died Joseph and all brothers his and all the generation that.
7 ૭ પછીની પેઢીના ઇઝરાયલીઓ સફળ થયા અને સંખ્યામાં ઘણા પ્રમાણમાં વધ્યા અને બળવાન થયા; તેઓની વસ્તીથી દેશ ભરચક થઈ ગયો.
And [the] people of Israel they were fruitful and they swarmed and they multiplied and they became mighty with muchness muchness and it was filled the land with them.
And he arose a king new over Egypt who not he knew Joseph.
9 ૯ તે રાજાએ પોતાની પ્રજાને કહ્યું, “આ ઇઝરાયલીઓને જુઓ; તેઓ આપણા કરતાં સંખ્યામાં વધારે અને ખૂબ બળવાન છે.
And he said to people his here! [the] people of [the] people of Israel [is] numerous and mighty more than us.
10 ૧૦ માટે આપણે તેઓ સાથે ચાલાકીથી વર્તીએ, નહિ તો તેઓ વધી જશે અને સંજોગોવશાત આપણને કોઈની સાથે લડાઈ થાય તો સંભવ છે કે તેઓ આપણા દુશ્મનો સાથે ભળી જાય, આપણી સામે લડે અને દેશમાંથી જતા રહે.”
Give! let us deal wisely to it lest it should increase and it will be that they will happen war and it will be added also it to [those who] hate us and it will fight against us and it will go up from the land.
11 ૧૧ તેથી મિસરીઓએ ઇઝરાયલીઓ પાસે સખત મજૂરી કરાવીને તેઓને પીડા આપવા માટે તેઓના ઉપર મુકાદમો નીમ્યા. તેઓની જબરજસ્તી વેઠીને ઇઝરાયલીઓએ ફારુનને માટે પીથોમ અને રામસેસ નગરો તથા પુરવઠા કેન્દ્રો બાંધ્યાં.
And they appointed over it overseers of slave gangs so as to afflict it with forced labor their and it built cities of storage for Pharaoh Pithom and Rameses.
12 ૧૨ પણ જેમ જેમ તેઓ ઇઝરાયલીઓને પીડા આપતા ગયા તેમ તેમ તેઓ સંખ્યામાં વૃદ્ધિ પામતા ગયા. તેથી મિસરના લોકો ઇઝરાયલના લોકોથી ઘણા ભયભીત થયા.
And just as people afflicted it so it increased and so it spread and people felt dread because of [the] people of Israel.
And they compelled to labor Egypt [the] people of Israel with harshness.
14 ૧૪ તેઓની પાસે જાતજાતની મજૂરી કરાવવા માંડી. ઈંટ અને ચૂનો તૈયાર કરવાની તથા ખેતરોમાં ખેડવાથી માંડીને લણણી સુધીની મહેનતનાં કામો કરાવીને તેઓનું જીવન અસહ્ય બનાવી દીઘું.
And they made bitter lives their with labor hard in mortar and in bricks and in all labor in the field all labor their which they labored by them with harshness.
And he said [the] king of Egypt to the midwives Hebrew who [the] name of the one [was] Shiphrah and [the] name of the second [was] Puah.
16 ૧૬ “જ્યારે તમે હિબ્રૂ સ્ત્રીઓની પ્રસૂતિ કરાવવા માટે ખાટલા પાસે જાઓ ત્યારે જો તેઓને છોકરા જન્મે તો તેઓને મારી નાખવા. પણ જો છોકરી જન્મે તો તમારે તેઓને જીવતી રહેવા દેવી.”
And he said when assist as midwife you the Hebrew [women] and you will look at the stones if [is] a son he and you will kill him and if [is] a daughter she and she will live.
17 ૧૭ પરંતુ આ દાયણો ઈશ્વરની બીક રાખનારી અને વિશ્વાસુ હતી, એટલે તેઓએ મિસરના રાજાની આજ્ઞા માની નહિ અને છોકરાઓને જીવતા રહેવા દીધા.
And they feared the midwives God and not they did just as he had spoken to them [the] king of Egypt and they let live the [male] children.
18 ૧૮ એ જાણીને મિસરના રાજાએ દાયણોને બોલાવીને કહ્યું, “તમે આવું શા માટે કર્યું? મારી આજ્ઞા કેમ ઉથાપી? નરબાળકોને કેમ જીવતા રહેવા દીધા?”
And he summoned [the] king of Egypt the midwives and he said to them why? have you done the thing this and have you let live? the [male] children.
19 ૧૯ ત્યારે દાયણોએ ફારુનને કહ્યું, “હે રાજા, હિબ્રૂ સ્ત્રીઓ મિસરી સ્ત્રીઓ જેવી નબળી હોતી નથી. તેઓ સશક્ત અને ખડતલ હોય છે; અમે પહોંચીએ તે પહેલાં જ તેઓ જલદીથી સંતાનોને જન્મ આપી દે છે.”
And they said the midwives to Pharaoh for not [are] like the women Egyptian the Hebrew [women] that [are] vigorous they before she comes to them the midwife and they give birth.
And he did good God to the midwives and it increased the people and they became mighty exceedingly.
21 ૨૧ આમ ઇઝરાયલ પ્રજા પણ સંખ્યામાં અને શક્તિમાં વૃદ્ધિ પામતી રહી. દાયણો ઈશ્વરથી ડરીને ચાલતી હતી એટલે ઈશ્વરે તેઓને સંતાનોનાં કૃપાદાન આપ્યાં.
And it was that they feared the midwives God and he appointed for them households.
22 ૨૨ પછી ફારુને પોતાના બધા લોકોને ફરમાન કર્યું કે, “નવા જન્મેલા બધા જ હિબ્રૂ છોકરાને નીલ નદીમાં ફેંકી દેવા, પણ છોકરીઓ ભલે જીવતી રહે.”
And he commanded Pharaoh to all people his saying every son born the River towards you will throw him and every daughter you will let live!
