પુનર્નિયમ 10
1 ૧ તે સમયે યહોવાહે મને કહ્યું, “પહેલાં હતી તેવી જ બે શિલાપાટીઓ તૈયાર કર અને તેને મારી પાસે પર્વત પર લાવ વળી લાકડાની એક પેટી બનાવ.
At that time YHWH said to me, "Cut two tablets of stone like the first, and come up to me onto the mountain, and make an ark of wood.
2 ૨ પહેલી પાટીઓ જે તેં તોડી નાખી, તેના પર જે વચનો લખેલાં હતા તે હું આ પાટીઓ ઉપર લખીશ, તું તેઓને કોશમાં મૂકી રાખજે.”
I will write on the tables the words that were on the first tables which you broke, and you shall put them in the ark."
3 ૩ માટે મેં બાવળના લાકડાનો એક કોશ બનાવ્યો. અને પહેલાના જેવી બે શિલાપાટીઓ બનાવી, તે બે શિલાપાટીઓ મારા હાથમાં લઈને હું પર્વત પર ગયો.
So I made an ark of acacia wood, and cut two tablets of stone like the first, and went up onto the mountain, having the two tablets in my hand.
4 ૪ સભાના દિવસે પર્વત પર અગ્નિમાંથી જે દસ આજ્ઞાઓ યહોવાહ બોલ્યા, તે તેમણે અગાઉના લખાણ પ્રમાણે શિલાપાટીઓ ઉપર લખી; યહોવાહે તે મને આપી.
He wrote on the tables, according to the first writing, the ten commandments, which YHWH spoke to you on the mountain out of the midst of the fire in the day of the assembly: and YHWH gave them to me.
5 ૫ પછી હું પર્વત પરથી પાછો નીચે આવ્યો, જે કોશ મેં બનાવ્યો હતો તેમાં તે શિલાપાટીઓ મૂકી; યહોવાહે મને આજ્ઞા આપી હતી તે મુજબ તેઓ ત્યાં છે.
I turned and came down from the mountain, and put the tables in the ark which I had made; and there they are as YHWH commanded me.
6 ૬ ઇઝરાયલી લોકો બેરોથ બેની યાકાનથી મુસાફરી કરીને મોસેરા આવ્યા. ત્યાં હારુનનું મૃત્યુ થયું, તેને ત્યાં જ દફનાવવામાં આવ્યો. તેની જગ્યાએ તેના દીકરા એલાઝારે યાજકપદની સેવા બજાવી.
(The children of Israel traveled from Beeroth Bene Jaakan to Moserah. There Aaron died, and there he was buried; and Eleazar his son ministered in the priest's office in his place.
7 ૭ ત્યાંથી તેઓએ ગુદગોદા સુધી મુસાફરી કરી, ગુદગોદાથી યોટબાથાહ જે પાણીના ઝરણાંનો પ્રદેશ છે ત્યાં આવ્યા.
From there they traveled to Gudgodah; and from Gudgodah to Jotbathah, a land of brooks of water.
8 ૮ તે સમયે યહોવાહે લેવીના કુળને યહોવાહનો કરારકોશ ઊંચકવા, યહોવાહની સમક્ષ ઊભા રહીને તેમની સેવા કરવા, તેમના નામથી લોકોને આશીર્વાદ આપવા માટે પસંદ કર્યું. આજ સુધી તે તેની સેવા કરે છે.
At that time YHWH set apart the tribe of Levi, to bear the ark of the covenant of YHWH, to stand before YHWH to minister to him, and to bless in his name, to this day.
9 ૯ તેથી લેવીઓને પોતાના ભાઈઓની સાથે કંઈ ભાગ કે વારસો મળ્યો નથી. જેમ યહોવાહ તારા ઈશ્વરે કહ્યું તેમ યહોવાહ પોતે તેનો વારસો છે.
Therefore Levi has no portion nor inheritance with his brothers; YHWH is his inheritance, according as YHWH your God spoke to him.)
10 ૧૦ અગાઉની જેમ હું ચાળીસ રાત અને ચાળીસ દિવસ પર્વત પર રહ્યો; અને યહોવાહે તે સમયે પણ મારું સાંભળીને તમારો નાશ કર્યો નહિ.
I stayed on the mountain, as at the first time, forty days and forty nights: and YHWH listened to me that time also, and YHWH would not destroy you.
11 ૧૧ પછી યહોવાહે મને કહ્યું, ઊઠ, આ લોકોની આગળ ચાલ; એટલે જે દેશ તેઓને આપવાના મેં તેઓના પિતૃઓની આગળ સમ ખાધા છે, તેમાં તેઓ પ્રવેશ કરીને તેનું વતન પ્રાપ્ત કરે.
YHWH said to me, "Arise, take your journey before the people; and they shall go in and possess the land, which I swore to their fathers to give to them."
12 ૧૨ હવે હે ઇઝરાયલ, તું યહોવાહ તારા ઈશ્વરનો ડર રાખે, તેમના માર્ગોમાં ચાલે અને તેમના પર પ્રેમ રાખે અને તારા પૂરા અંત: કરણથી તથા પૂરા જીવથી યહોવાહ તારા ઈશ્વરની સેવા કરે.
Now, Israel, what does YHWH your God require of you, but to fear YHWH your God, to walk in all his ways, and to love him, and to serve YHWH your God with all your heart and with all your soul,
to keep the commandments of YHWH, and his statutes, which I command you this day for your good?
Look, to YHWH your God belongs heaven and the heaven of heavens, the earth, with all that is in it.
15 ૧૫ તેમ છતાં તમારા પિતૃઓ પર પ્રેમ રાખવાનું યહોવાહને સારું લાગ્યું. અને તેમણે તેઓની પાછળ તેઓનાં સંતાનને એટલે સર્વ લોકોના કરતાં તમને પસંદ કર્યા જેમ આજે છે તેમ.
Only YHWH had a delight in your fathers to love them, and he chose their descendants after them, even you above all peoples, as at this day.
Circumcise therefore the foreskin of your heart, and be no more stiff-necked.
17 ૧૭ કેમ કે, યહોવાહ તમારા ઈશ્વર તે તો સર્વોપરી ઈશ્વર છે. તે મહાન, પરાક્રમી અને ભયાનક ઈશ્વર છે, તે નિષ્પક્ષ અને ન્યાયી છે, તે કદી લાંચ લેતા નથી.
For YHWH your God, he is God of gods, and Lord of lords, the great God, the mighty, and the awesome, who doesn't respect persons, nor takes reward.
18 ૧૮ તે વિધવાની તથા અનાથની દાદ સાંભળે છે. તે પરદેશીઓ પર પ્રેમ રાખે છે અને તેઓને ખોરાક તથા વસ્ત્રો આપે છે.
He does execute justice for the fatherless and widow, and loves the foreigner, in giving him food and clothing.
Therefore love the foreigner; for you were foreigners in the land of Egypt.
20 ૨૦ તમે યહોવાહ તમારા ઈશ્વરનો ડર રાખો અને તમે તેમની જ સેવા કરો; તેમને જ તમે વળગી રહો. અને તેમના જ નામે સમ ખાઓ.
You shall fear YHWH your God; you shall serve him; and you shall cling to him, and you shall swear by his name.
21 ૨૧ તમારે તેમની સ્તુતિ કરવી, તે જ તમારા ઈશ્વર છે. તેમણે તમારા માટે જે મહાન અને અદ્ભૂત કાર્યો કર્યાં છે તે તમે પ્રત્યક્ષ નિહાળ્યાં છે.
He is your praise, and he is your God, who has done for you these great and awesome things, which your eyes have seen.
22 ૨૨ જયારે તમારા પિતૃઓ બધા મળીને મિસર ગયા હતા ત્યારે તેઓ ફક્ત સિત્તેર જ હતા. પણ અત્યારે તમારા ઈશ્વર યહોવાહે તમારી સંખ્યા આકાશના તારાઓ જેટલી વધારી છે.
Your fathers went down into Egypt with seventy persons; and now YHWH your God has made you as the stars of the sky for multitude.
