આમોસ 7
1 ૧ પ્રભુ યહોવાહે મને આ બતાવ્યું છે. જુઓ, વનસ્પતિની પાછલી ફૂટની શરૂઆતમાં તેમણે તીડો બનાવ્યાં, અને જુઓ, તે રાજાની કાપણી પછીનો ચારો હતો.
Thus has the Lord God showed me; and, behold, a swarm of locusts coming from the east; and, behold, one caterpillar, king Gog.
2 ૨ એ તીડો દેશનું ઘાસ ખાઈ રહ્યાં ત્યારે મેં કહ્યું કે, “હે પ્રભુ યહોવાહ કૃપા કરીને અમને માફ કરો; યાકૂબ કેવી રીતે જીવતો રહી શકે? કેમ કે તે નાનો છે.”
And it came to pass when he had finished devouring the grass of the land, that I said, Lord God, be merciful; who shall raise up Jacob? for he is small in number.
Repent, O Lord, for this. And this shall not be, says the Lord.
4 ૪ પ્રભુ યહોવાહે મને આ પ્રમાણે બતાવ્યું કે; જુઓ પ્રભુ યહોવાહે અગ્નિને ન્યાય કરવા માટે પોકાર્યો, તેમણે મહા ઊંડાણને ભસ્મ કર્યું અને ભૂમિને પણ ભસ્મીભૂત કરત.
Thus has the Lord showed me; and, behold, the Lord called for judgement by fire, and it devoured the great deep, and devoured the Lord's portion.
5 ૫ પણ મેં કહ્યું, હે પ્રભુ યહોવાહ, કૃપા કરીને તેમ થવા દેશો નહિ; યાકૂબ કેમ કરીને જીવતો રહી શકે કેમ કે તે નાનો છે.”
Then I said, O Lord, cease, I pray you: who shall raise up Jacob? for he is small in number. Repent, O Lord, for this.
This also shall not be, says the Lord.
7 ૭ પછી યહોવાહે મને આમ દર્શાવ્યું; જુઓ, પ્રભુ પોતે હાથમાં ઓળંબો પકડીને ઓળંબે ચણેલી ભીંત પાસે ઊભા રહ્યા.
Thus the Lord showed me; and behold, he stood upon a wall of adamant, and in his hand [was] an adamant.
8 ૮ યહોવાહે મને કહ્યું કે, “આમોસ, તને શું દેખાય છે?” મેં કહ્યું, “એક ઓળંબો.” પછી પ્રભુએ કહ્યું, “જુઓ, હું મારા ઇઝરાયલ લોકોમાં આ ઓળંબો મૂકીશ. હું ફરીથી તેમને માફ કરીશ નહિ.
And the Lord said to me, What see you, Amos? And I said, An adamant. And the Lord said to me, Behold, I appoint an adamant in the midst of my people Israel: I will not pass by them any more.
9 ૯ ઇસહાકનાં ઉચ્ચસ્થાનો ઉજ્જડ થઈ જશે, અને ઇઝરાયલના પવિત્રસ્થાનો વેરાન થઈ જશે, અને હું તલવાર લઈને યરોબામના વંશની વિરુદ્ધ ઊઠીશ.”
And the joyful altars shall be abolished, and the sacrifices of Israel shall be set aside; and I will rise up against the house of Jeroboam with the sword.
10 ૧૦ પછી બેથેલના યાજક અમાસ્યાએ ઇઝરાયલના રાજા યરોબામને કહાવી મોકલ્યું કે,’ આમોસે ઇઝરાયલી લોકોમાં તારી વિરુદ્ધ કાવતરું રચ્યું છે. આ સર્વ વચનો કદાચ દેશના લોક સહન કરી શકશે નહિ.”
Then Amasias the priest of Bethel sent to Jeroboam king of Israel, saying, Amos is forming conspiracies against you in the midst of the house of Israel: the land will be utterly unable to bear all his words.
11 ૧૧ કેમ કે આમોસ કહે છે કે; “યરોબામ તલવારથી માર્યો જશે, અને ઇઝરાયલના લોકોને નિશ્ચિત પોતાના દેશમાંથી ગુલામ કરીને લઈ જશે.’”
For thus says Amos, Jeroboam shall die by the sword, and Israel shall be led away captive from his land.
12 ૧૨ અમાસ્યાએ આમોસને કહ્યું કે, “હે દ્રષ્ટા, જા, યહૂદિયાના દેશમાં નાસી જા અને ત્યાં રોટલી ખાજે તથા ત્યાં પ્રબોધ કરજે.
And Amasias said to Amos, Go, seer, remove you into the land of Juda, and live there, and you shall prophesy there:
13 ૧૩ પણ હવે પછી કદી બેથેલમાં ભવિષ્ય ભાખતો નહિ, કેમ કે એ તો રાજાનું પવિત્રસ્થાન છે અને એ રાજાનું ભક્તિસ્થાન છે.”
but you shall no longer prophesy at Bethel: for it is the king's sanctuary, and it is the royal house.
14 ૧૪ પછી આમોસે અમાસ્યાને કહ્યું, “હું પ્રબોધક નથી કે પ્રબોધકનો દીકરો પણ નથી, હું તો માત્ર ભરવાડ અને ગુલ્લર વૃક્ષની સંભાળ રાખનાર છું.
And Amos answered, and said to Amasias, I was not a prophet, nor the son of a prophet; but I was a herdman, and a gatherer of sycamore fruits.
15 ૧૫ હું ઘેટાનાં ટોળાં સાચવતો હતો ત્યારે યહોવાહે મને બોલાવ્યો અને વળી મને કહ્યું, ‘જા, મારા ઇઝરાયલ લોકોને પ્રબોધ કર.’”
And the Lord took me from the sheep, and the Lord said to me, Go, and prophesy to my people Israel.
16 ૧૬ એટલે હવે તું યહોવાહનું વચન સાંભળ. તું કહે છે કે, ઇઝરાયલ વિરુદ્ધ પ્રબોધ કરીશ નહિ અને ઇસહાકના વંશજો વિરુદ્ધ એક પણ શબ્દ બોલીશ નહિ.’
And now hear the word of the Lord: You say, Prophesy not to Israel, and raise not a tumult against the house of Jacob.
17 ૧૭ માટે યહોવાહ આમ કહે છે કે; તારી પત્ની નગરની ગણિકા બનશે; અને તારા દીકરાઓ તથા તારી દીકરીઓ તલવારથી માર્યા જશે; તારી ભૂમિ દોરીથી માપીને બીજાઓને વહેંચાશે; તું પોતે અપવિત્ર ભૂમિમાં મૃત્યુ પામશે, અને નિશ્ચે ઇઝરાયલ લોકોને પોતાના દેશમાંથી ગુલામ બનાવીને લઈ જવામાં આવશે.’”
Therefore thus says the Lord; Your wife shall be a harlot in the city, and your sons and your daughters shall fall by the sword, and your land shall be measured with the line; and you shall die in an unclean land; and Israel shall be led captive out of his land. Thus has the Lord God showed me.
