David again gathered together all the chosen men of Israel, thirty thousand.
2 ૨ પછી દાઉદ પોતાની સાથેના સર્વ માણસોને લઈને તે કરુબો પર બિરાજમાન ઈશ્વરનો કોશ લેવાને બાલે-યહૂદિયાથી જ્યાં કોશ હતો ત્યાં ગયો. જે સૈન્યોના ઈશ્વરના નામથી ઓળખાય છે.
David arose and went with all the people who were with him from Baale Judah, to bring up from there God’s ark, which is called by the Name, even the name of Yahweh of Armies who sits above the cherubim.
3 ૩ તેઓએ ઈશ્વરના કોશને અબીનાદાબનું ઘર જે પર્વત પર હતું ત્યાંથી લાવ્યા અને તેને એક નવા ગાડામાં મૂક્યો. તેના દીકરાઓ, ઉઝઝા અને આહ્યો ગાડું હાંકતા હતા.
They set God’s ark on a new cart, and brought it out of Abinadab’s house that was on the hill; and Uzzah and Ahio, the sons of Abinadab, drove the new cart.
They brought it out of Abinadab’s house which was in the hill, with God’s ark; and Ahio went before the ark.
5 ૫ અને દાઉદ તથા ઇઝરાયલના ઘરના લોકો દેવદારના લાકડાંમાંથી બનાવેલાં સર્વ પ્રકારનાં વાજિંત્રો, વીણા, સિતાર, ખંજરી, કરતાલ તથા મંજીરા ઈશ્વર આગળ વગાડતા હતા.
David and all the house of Israel played before Yahweh with all kinds of instruments made of cypress wood, with harps, with stringed instruments, with tambourines, with castanets, and with cymbals.
6 ૬ જયારે તેઓ નાખોનના ખળા પાસે આવ્યા, ત્યારે બળદોએ ઠોકર ખાધી અને ઉઝઝાએ પોતાનો હાથ ઈશ્વરના કોશ તરફ લાંબો કરીને તેને પકડી રાખ્યો.
When they came to the threshing floor of Nacon, Uzzah reached for God’s ark and took hold of it, for the cattle stumbled.
7 ૭ ત્યારે ઈશ્વરનો કોપ ઉઝઝા પર સળગ્યો. તેના અપરાધને લીધે ઈશ્વરે તેને ત્યાં માર્યો. ઉઝઝા ઈશ્વરના કોશ આગળ મરણ પામ્યો.
Yahweh’s anger burned against Uzzah, and God struck him there for his error; and he died there by God’s ark.
8 ૮ ઈશ્વરે ઉઝઝાને માર્યો તેથી દાઉદને ખોટું લાગ્યું અને તેણે તે જગ્યાનું નામ પેરેસ-ઉઝઝા પાડ્યું. તે જગ્યાનું નામ આજ સુધી પેરેસ-ઉઝઝા છે.
David was displeased because Yahweh had broken out against Uzzah; and he called that place Perez Uzzah to this day.
David was afraid of Yahweh that day; and he said, “How could Yahweh’s ark come to me?”
10 ૧૦ ડરનો માર્યો દાઉદ ઈશ્વરનો કોશ પોતાની પાસે દાઉદના નગરમાં લઈ જવા ઇચ્છતો નહોતો. તેના બદલે, તેણે ઓબેદ-અદોમ ગિત્તી નગરના ઘરમાં તેને મૂક્યો.
So David would not move Yahweh’s ark to be with him in David’s city; but David carried it aside into Obed-Edom the Gittite’s house.
11 ૧૧ ઈશ્વરનો કોશ ગિત્તી ઓબેદ-અદોમના ઘરમાં ત્રણ મહિના રહ્યો. તેથી ઈશ્વરે તેને તથા તેના ઘરનાં સર્વને આશીર્વાદ આપ્યો.
Yahweh’s ark remained in Obed-Edom the Gittite’s house three months; and Yahweh blessed Obed-Edom and all his house.
12 ૧૨ હવે દાઉદ રાજાને સમાચાર મળ્યા કે, “ઈશ્વરના કોશને કારણે ગિત્તી ઓબેદ-અદોમના કુટુંબને તથા તેના સર્વસ્વને ઈશ્વરે આશીર્વાદ આપ્યો છે.” તેથી દાઉદ જઈને ઈશ્વરના કોશને ઓબેદ-અદોમના ઘરમાંથી આનંદ સાથે દાઉદના નગરમાં લાવ્યો.
King David was told, “Yahweh has blessed the house of Obed-Edom, and all that belongs to him, because of God’s ark.” So David went and brought up God’s ark from the house of Obed-Edom into David’s city with joy.
13 ૧૩ ઈશ્વરનો કોશ ઊંચકીને ચાલનારાં માત્ર છ પગલાં ચાલ્યા, ત્યારે દાઉદે એક બળદ તથા એક પુષ્ટ પશુનું બલિદાન આપ્યું.
When those who bore Yahweh’s ark had gone six paces, he sacrificed an ox and a fattened calf.
David danced before Yahweh with all his might; and David was clothed in a linen ephod.
15 ૧૫ આ રીતે દાઉદ તથા ઇઝરાયલના સર્વ લોકો પોકાર કરતા તથા રણશિંગડાં વગાડતા ઈશ્વરનો કોશ લઈને ચાલતા હતા.
So David and all the house of Israel brought up Yahweh’s ark with shouting and with the sound of the trumpet.
16 ૧૬ ઈશ્વરનો કોશ દાઉદના નગરમાં આવતો હતો, ત્યારે શાઉલની દીકરી મિખાલે, બારીમાંથી નજર કરીને જોયું. તેણે જોયું કે દાઉદ રાજા ઈશ્વરની આગળ કૂદતો અને નાચતો હતો. તે જોઈને તેણે દાઉદને પોતાના અંતઃકરણમાં ધિક્કાર્યો.
As Yahweh’s ark came into David’s city, Michal the daughter of Saul looked out through the window and saw King David leaping and dancing before Yahweh; and she despised him in her heart.
17 ૧૭ લોકોએ ઈશ્વરના કોશને અંદર લઈ જઈને, જે મંડપ દાઉદે તેને સારુ બનાવ્યો હતો, તેની મધ્યમાં તેને મૂક્યો. પછી દાઉદે ઈશ્વરની આગળ દહનીયાર્પણો તથા શાંત્યર્પણો ચડાવ્યાં.
They brought in Yahweh’s ark, and set it in its place in the middle of the tent that David had pitched for it; and David offered burnt offerings and peace offerings before Yahweh.
18 ૧૮ દાઉદ દહનીયાર્પણો તથા શાંત્યર્પણો ચડાવી રહ્યો પછી, દાઉદે સૈન્યોના ઈશ્વરના નામે લોકોને આશીર્વાદ આપ્યો.
When David had finished offering the burnt offering and the peace offerings, he blessed the people in the name of Yahweh of Armies.
19 ૧૯ પછી તેણે સર્વ લોકને, પુરુષો તથા સ્ત્રીઓ સહિત ઇઝરાયલના આખા સમુદાયને, રોટલી, થોડું માંસ તથા સૂકી દ્રાક્ષ વહેંચી આપ્યાં. દરેક જણ પોતપોતાને ઘરે ગયા.
He gave to all the people, even among the whole multitude of Israel, both to men and women, to everyone a portion of bread, dates, and raisins. So all the people departed, each to his own house.
20 ૨૦ દાઉદ પણ પોતાના કુટુંબને આશીર્વાદ આપવા ઘરે આવ્યો. દાઉદની પત્ની શાઉલની દીકરી મિખાલ દાઉદને મળવાને બહાર આવી. અને તેની મશ્કરી કરતાં કહ્યું કે, “આજે ઇઝરાયલનો રાજા કેવો સન્માનનીય લાગતો હતો! જાણે કોઈ હલકો માણસ મર્યાદા મૂકીને નિર્વસ્ત્ર થાય, તેમ તે પોતાના ચાકરોની દાસીઓના જોતાં આજે નિર્વસ્ત્ર થયો હતો!”
Then David returned to bless his household. Michal the daughter of Saul came out to meet David, and said, “How glorious the king of Israel was today, who uncovered himself today in the eyes of his servants’ maids, as one of the vain fellows shamelessly uncovers himself!”
21 ૨૧ દાઉદે મિખાલને જવાબ આપ્યો કે, મેં તે ઈશ્વરની આગળ નૃત્ય કર્યું છે, તેમણે મને તેમના લોકો, ઇઝરાયલ ઉપર રાજા તરીકે અભિષિક્ત કરવા સારું, તારા પિતા તથા તેના કુટુંબનાં સર્વને બદલે મને પસંદ કર્યો છે, માટે હું ઈશ્વરમાં હર્ષો ઉલ્લાસ કરીશ.
David said to Michal, “It was before Yahweh, who chose me above your father, and above all his house, to appoint me prince over the people of Yahweh, over Israel. Therefore I will celebrate before Yahweh.
22 ૨૨ આના કરતાં પણ હું વધારે ‘હલકો’ થઈશ, હું મારી પોતાની દ્રષ્ટિમાં અપમાનિત થઈશ, પણ જે દાસીઓ મધ્યે તું બોલી છે, તેઓથી તો હું સન્માન પામીશ.
I will be yet more undignified than this, and will be worthless in my own sight. But the maids of whom you have spoken will honor me.”
Michal the daughter of Saul had no child to the day of her death.
