કરિંથીઓને બીજો પત્ર 6

1 ૧ અમે, તેમની સાથે કામ કરનારા, તમને વિનંતી કરીએ છીએ, કે તમે ઈશ્વરની કૃપાનો સ્વીકાર કર્યો છે તેને વ્યર્થ થવા દેશો નહિ.

We, then, as fellow-laborers, also beseech you not to receive the favor of God in vain;

2 ૨ કેમ કે તે કહે છે કે, ‘મેં માન્યકાળમાં તારું સાંભળ્યું, અને ઉદ્ધારના દિવસમાં મેં તને સહાય કરી; જુઓ, અત્યારે જ માન્યકાળ છે, અત્યારે જ ઉદ્ધારનો દિવસ છે.

(for he says, "In an accepted season I have hearkened to you; and in a day of salvation I have helped you." Behold, now is a highly accepted season; behold, now is a day of salvation: )

3 ૩ અમારા સેવાકાર્યને દોષ ન લાગે, માટે અમે કશામાં કોઈને અડચણરૂપ થતાં નથી.

giving no cause of offense in anything, that the ministry be not blamed.

4 ૪ પણ અમે સર્વમાં પોતાને ઈશ્વરના સેવકોના જેવા દેખાડીએ છીએ; ઘણી ધીરજથી, વિપત્તિથી, તંગીથી, વેદનાથી,

But by everything approving ourselves as ministers of God, by much patience, by oppressions, by necessities, by distresses,

5 ૫ ફટકાઓથી, કેદખાનાંઓથી, હંગામાઓથી, કષ્ટોથી, ઉજાગરાથી, ભૂખથી,

by stripes, by imprisonments, by tumults, by labors, by watchings, by fastings;

6 ૬ શુદ્ધપણાથી, જ્ઞાનથી, સહનશીલતાથી, ઉપકારીપણાથી, પવિત્ર આત્માથી, નિષ્કપટ પ્રેમથી,

by purity, by knowledge, by long-suffering, by goodness, by a holy spirit, by love unfeigned;

7 ૭ સત્ય વચનથી, ઈશ્વરના પરાક્રમથી, જમણાં તથા ડાબા હાથ પર ન્યાયીપણાનાં હથિયારોથી.

by the word of truth, by the power of God, through the armor of righteousness of the right hand and of the left;

8 ૮ માન તથા અપમાનથી, અપકીર્તિ તથા સુકીર્તિથી; જૂઠા ગણાયેલા તોપણ સાચા;

through honor and dishonor, through bad fame and good fame; as deceivers, yet true;

9 ૯ અજાણ્યા તોપણ નામાંકિત; મરણ નજીક તોપણ જુઓ જીવંત છીએ; શિક્ષા પામેલાઓના જેવા તોપણ મૃત્યુ પામેલા નહિ;

as unknown, yet well known; as dying, yet, behold, we live; as chastened, yet not killed;

10 ૧૦ શોકાતુરના જેવા તોપણ સદા આનંદ કરનારા; ગરીબો જેવા તોપણ ઘણાંઓને ધનવાન કરનારા; કંગાલ જેવા તોપણ સઘળાના માલિક છીએ.

as sorrowing, yet always rejoicing; as poor, yet making many rich; as having nothing, yet possessing all things.

11 ૧૧ ઓ કરિંથીઓ, તમારે સારુ અમારું મોં ખૂલ્યું છે, અમારું હૃદય વિશાળ છે.

Corinthians! our mouth is open to you, our heart is enlarged.

12 ૧૨ તમે અમારામાં સંકુચિત થયા નથી, પણ પોતાના અંતઃકરણમાં સંકુચિત થયા છો.

You are not straitened in us, but you are straitened in your own bowels.

13 ૧૩ તો એને બદલે જેમ બાળકોને તેમ તમને કહું છું, તમે પણ હૃદયથી ઉદાર થાઓ.

Now, in return, (I speak as to children, ) be you also enlarged.

14 ૧૪ અવિશ્વાસીઓની સાથે અઘટિત સંબંધ ન રાખો; કેમ કે ન્યાયીપણાને અન્યાયીપણા સાથે શો સંબંધ હોય? અને અજવાળાંને અંધકારની સાથે શી સંગત હોય?

Be not unequally yoked with unbelievers; for what fellowship has righteousness with unrighteousness? and what communion has light with darkness?

15 ૧૫ અને ખ્રિસ્ત સાથે શેતાનનો સંબંધ હોઈ શકે? કે વિશ્વાસીને અવિશ્વાસીની સાથે શો ભાગ હોય?

what concord has Christ with Belial? or what portion has a believer with an unbeliever?

16 ૧૬ અને ઈશ્વરના સભાસ્થાનને મૂર્તિઓની સાથે સંબંધ હોય ખરો? કેમ કે આપણે જીવતા ઈશ્વરનું ભક્તિસ્થાન છીએ, જેમ ઈશ્વરે કહ્યું કે, ‘હું તેઓમાં રહીશ તથા ચાલીશ; તેઓનો ઈશ્વર થઈશ; અને તેઓ મારા લોક થશે.’”

And what agreement has the temple of God with idols? for you are the temple of the living God; as God has said, "Assuredly I will dwell among them, and walk among them; and I will be their God, and they shall be to me a people.

17 ૧૭ માટે, ‘તમે તેઓમાંથી નીકળી આવો, અને જુદા થાઓ,’ એમ પ્રભુ કહે છે, ‘અશુદ્ધને સ્પર્શ ન કરો, અને હું તમારો સ્વીકાર કરીશ,

Wherefore, come out from among them, and be separated, says the Lord, and touch no unclean person; and I will receive you;

18 ૧૮ અને તમારો પિતા થઈશ, અને તમે મારા દીકરાદીકરીઓ થશો, એમ સર્વસમર્થ પ્રભુ કહે છે.’”

and I be to you a Father, and you shall be to me sons and daughters, says the Lord Almighty."
