થેસ્સાલોનિકીઓને પહેલો પત્ર 5
Concerning now the times and the seasons, brothers, no need you have to you to be written;
2 ૨ કેમ કે તમે પોતે સારી રીતે જાણો છો કે, જેમ રાત્રે ચોર આવે છે તે પ્રમાણે પ્રભુ ઈસુનો દિવસ આવી રહ્યો છે.
Yourselves for fully you know that (the *k*) day of [the] Lord as a thief by night in this manner comes;
3 ૩ કેમ કે જયારે લોકો કહેશે કે, ‘શાંતિ તથા સલામતી છે’, ત્યારે સગર્ભાની વેદનાની જેમ તેઓનો એકાએક વિનાશ થશે, તેઓ બચવા પામશે જ નહિ.
when (for *k*) they may say; Peace and security, then suddenly upon them comes destruction as the labor pains to her in womb [pregnancy] having, and certainly not shall they escape.
You yourselves however, brothers, not are in darkness, that the day you like (a thief *NK(O)*) may grasp;
All (for *no*) you yourselves sons of light are and sons of day; Not we are of night nor of darkness.
So then not we may sleep as (also *k*) the others but we may watch and we may be sober.
Those for sleeping by night sleep and those becoming drunk by night get drunk;
8 ૮ પણ આપણે દિવસના છીએ, માટે વિશ્વાસનું તથા પ્રેમનું બખતર અને ઉદ્ધારની આશાનો ટોપ પહેરીને સાવધાન રહીએ.
We ourselves however of [the] day being may be sober having put on [the] breastplate of faith and love and [the] helmet [the] hope of salvation;
9 ૯ કેમ કે ઈશ્વરે આપણને કોપને સારુ નહિ, પણ આપણા પ્રભુ ઈસુ ખ્રિસ્ત દ્વારા ઉદ્ધાર પ્રાપ્ત કરવા સારુ નિર્માણ કર્યા છે;
because not has destined us God for wrath but for obtaining salvation through the Lord of us Jesus Christ
the [One who] having died (for *NK(o)*) us, so that whether we shall watch or we shall sleep together with Him we may live.
Therefore do encourage one another and do build up one another even as also you are doing.
12 ૧૨ પણ, ભાઈઓ, અમે તમને વિનંતી કરીએ છીએ કે, જેઓ તમારા માટે શ્રમ કરે છે, પ્રભુમાં તમારા આગેવાન છે તથા તમને બોધ કરે છે તેઓની તમે કદર કરો;
We implore however you, brothers, to know those toiling among you and taking the lead over you in [the] Lord and admonishing you
and to esteem them super overexcessively super overexcessively super overexcessively in love because of the work of them. do be at peace among (yourselves. *NK(O)*)
14 ૧૪ વળી, ભાઈઓ, અમે તમને વિનંતી કરીએ છીએ કે, તમે આળસુઓને ચેતવણી, નિરાશ થયેલાઓને ઉત્તેજન અને નિર્બળોને આધાર આપો, સઘળાંની સાથે સહનશીલ થાઓ.
We exhort now you, brothers, do admonish the unruly, do encourage the fainthearted, do help the weak, do be patient toward all.
15 ૧૫ સાવધ રહો કે, કોઈ દુષ્ટતાનાં બદલામાં સામી દુષ્ટતા ન આચરે પણ તમે સદા એકબીજાનું તથા સર્વનું હિત સાધવાને યત્ન કરો.
do see that no one evil for evil to anyone may repay, but always the good do pursue also toward one another and toward all.
Always do rejoice;
Unceasingly do pray;
In everything do give thanks; this for [is the] will of God in Christ Jesus toward you.
The Spirit not do quench;
Prophecies not do despise;
All things (now *no*) do test; To the good do hold fast;
From every form of evil do abstain.
23 ૨૩ શાંતિના ઈશ્વર પોતે તમને સંપૂર્ણ પવિત્ર કરો અને આપણા પ્રભુ ઈસુ ખ્રિસ્તનાં આગમન સુધી તમારો આત્મા, પ્રાણ તથા શરીર નિર્દોષતામાં સંભાળી રાખો.
Himself now the God of peace would sanctify you completely, and entirely your spirit and soul and body blameless at the coming of the Lord of us Jesus Christ would be preserved.
[Is] faithful the [One] calling you, who also will do [it].
Brothers, do pray (also *no*) for us.
do greet the brothers all with a kiss holy.
(I adjure *N(k)O*) you [by] the Lord to be read [this] letter to all the (saints *K*) brothers.
The grace of the Lord of us Jesus Christ [be] with you. (Amen. *KO*) (to Thessalonica first It was written from Athens. *K*)
