1 રાજઓ 16
Then the word of the Lord came to Jehu the son of Hanani against Baasa, saying:
2 ૨ “મેં તને ધૂળમાંથી ઉઠાવીને ઊંચો કર્યો અને મારા ઇઝરાયલી લોકો પર અધિકારી તરીકે નીમ્યો. તો પણ તું યરોબામને પગલે ચાલ્યો અને મારા લોકો ઇઝરાયલીઓ પાસે પાપ કરાવીને તેમણે મને રોષ ચઢાવ્યો છે.
Forasmuch as I have exalted thee out of the dust, and made thee prince over my people Israel, and thou hast walked in the way of Jeroboam, and hast made my people Israel to sin, to provoke me to anger with their sins:
3 ૩ જો, હું બાશા અને તારા કુટુંબને નષ્ટ કરી નાખીશ અને હું તારા કુટુંબને નબાટના પુત્ર યરોબામના કુટુંબના જેવું છિન્નભિન્ન કરી નાખીશ.
Behold, I will cut down the posterity of Baasa, and the posterity of his house, and I will make thy house as the house of Jeroboam the son of Nabat.
4 ૪ બાશાના કુટુંબનાં જે માણસો નગરમાં મૃત્યુ પામશે તેઓને કૂતરાં ખાઈ જશે અને જેઓ ખેતરમાં મૃત્યુ પામશે તેઓને પક્ષીઓ ખાઈ જશે.”
Him that dieth of Baasa in the city, the dogs shall eat: and him that dieth of his in the country, the fowls of the air shall devour.
5 ૫ બાશાનાં બાકીનાં કાર્યો, તેણે જે સર્વ કર્યું તે તથા તેનું પરાક્રમ તે બધું ઇઝરાયલના રાજાઓના ઇતિહાસનાં પુસ્તકમાં લખેલું નથી શું?
But the rest of the acts of Baasa and all that he did, and his battles, are they not written in the book of the words of the days of the kings of Israel?
6 ૬ બાશા તેના પિતૃઓ સાથે ઊંઘી ગયો અને તેને તિર્સામાં તેના પિતૃઓ સાથે દફનાવ્યો. તેના પછી તેના પુત્ર એલાએ તેની જગ્યાએ રાજ કર્યું.
So Baasa slept with his fathers, and was buried in Thersa: and Ela his son reigned in his stead.
7 ૭ બાશા અને તેના કુટુંબની વિરુદ્ધ હનાનીના પુત્ર યેહૂ પ્રબોધક દ્વારા યહોવાહનું વચન આવ્યું. ત્યાર બાદ બાશાએ અને તેના કુટુંબે યહોવાહની દ્રષ્ટિમાં જે સઘળો દુરાચાર કર્યો અને યરોબામના કુટુંબના જેવા થઈને પોતાના હાથોના કામથી તેમને રોષ ચઢાવ્યો તેને લીધે તે યરોબામના કુટુંબની જેમ તેઓનો પણ નાશ કરશે.
And when the word of the Lord came in the hand of Jehu the son of Hanani the prophet, against Baasa, and against his house, and against all the evil that he had done before the Lord, to provoke him to anger by the works of his hands, to become as the house of Jeroboam: for this cause he slew him, that is to say, Jehu the son of Hanani, the prophet.
8 ૮ યહૂદિયાના રાજા આસાના છવ્વીસમા વર્ષે બાશાનો પુત્ર એલા તિર્સામાં ઇઝરાયલ પર રાજ કરવા લાગ્યો; તેણે બે વર્ષ રાજ કર્યુ.
In the six and twentieth year of Asa king of Juda, Ela the son of Baasa reigned over Israel in Thersa two years.
9 ૯ તેના એક ચાકર, અડધી રથસેનાના નાયક ઝિમ્રીએ તેની વિરુદ્ધ બંડ કર્યું. હવે એલા તિર્સામાં હતો. તિર્સામાં તેના મહેલનો એક કારભારી આર્સાના ઘરે મદ્યપાન કરીને ચકચૂર થયો હતો.
And his servant Zambri, who was captain of half the horsemen, rebelled against him: now Ela was drinking in Thersa, and drunk in the house of Arsa the governor of Thersa.
10 ૧૦ ઝિમ્રી ત્યાં ગયો અને એલાને ત્યાં મારી નાખ્યો. યહૂદિયાના રાજા આસાના સત્તાવીસમા વર્ષે તે તેની જગ્યાએ રાજા બન્યો.
And Zambri rushing in, struck him and slew him in the seven and twentieth year of Asa king of Juda, and he reigned in his stead.
11 ૧૧ જયારે ઝિમ્રી રાજ કરવા લાગ્યો અને તે રાજ્યાસન પર બેઠો ત્યારે એમ થયું કે તેણે બાશાના કુટુંબના સર્વ લોકોને મારી નાખ્યા. તેણે તેના કુટુંબમાંથી, કે તેના મિત્રોનાં કુટુંબોમાંથી એકેય નર બાળકને જીવિત રહેવા દીધો નહિ.
And when he was king and sat upon his throne, he slew all the house of Baasa, and he left not one thereof to piss against a wall, and all his kinsfolks and friends.
12 ૧૨ આમ, જે પ્રમાણે યહોવાહ પોતાનું વચન પ્રબોધક યેહૂની મારફતે બોલ્યા હતા તે પ્રમાણે ઝિમ્રીએ બાશાના કુટુંબોના સર્વ લોકોનો નાશ કર્યો.
And Zambri destroyed all the house of Baasa, according to the word of the Lord, that he had spoken to Baasa in the hand of Jehu the prophet,
13 ૧૩ કેમ કે બાશાએ અને તેના પુત્ર એલાએ જે સર્વ પાપો કર્યાં હતાં અને તે વડે ઇઝરાયલીઓને પાપમાં દોરી ગયા હતા તેને લીધે અને તેઓની મૂર્તિઓને લીધે યહોવાહને રોષ ચઢાવ્યો હતો.
For all the sins of Baasa, and the sins of Ela his son, who sinned, and made Israel to sin, provoking the Lord the God of Israel with their vanities.
14 ૧૪ એલાનાં બાકીનાં સર્વ કાર્યો અને તેણે જે સર્વ કર્યું તે બધું ઇઝરાયલના રાજાઓના ઇતિહાસના પુસ્તકમાં લખેલાં નથી શું?
But the rest of the acts of Ela, and all that he did, are they not written in the book of the words of the days of the kings of Israel?
15 ૧૫ યહૂદિયાના રાજા આસાના સત્તાવીસમા વર્ષે ઝિમ્રીએ તિર્સામાં ફક્ત સાત દિવસ રાજ કર્યુ. હવે તે વખતે ઇઝરાયલી સૈન્યએ પલિસ્તીઓના ગિબ્બથોનના શહેર તરફ છાવણી નાખી.
In the seven and twentieth year of Asa king of Juda, Zambri reigned seven days in Thersa: now the army was besieging Gebbethon a city of the Philistines.
16 ૧૬ જ્યારે સેનાને ખબર પડી કે “ઝિમ્રીએ રાજા વિરુદ્ધ બંડ કરી તેનું ખૂન કર્યુ છે.” ત્યારે તે દિવસે છાવણીમાં તેઓએ સેનાપતિ ઓમ્રીને ઇઝરાયલ પર નવા રાજા તરીકે જાહેર કર્યો.
And when they heard that Zambri had rebelled, and slain the king, all Israel made Amri their king, who was general over Israel in the camp that day.
And Amri went up, and all Israel with him from Gebbethon, and they besieged Thersa.
18 ૧૮ જયારે ઝિમ્રીને ખબર પડી કે નગરને જીતી લેવામાં આવ્યું છે ત્યારે તેણે રાજમહેલના કિલ્લામાં જઈને આખા મહેલને આગ લગાડી અને તે પોતે પણ બળીને મૃત્યુ પામ્યો.
And Zambri seeing that the city was about to be taken, went into the palace and burnt himself with the king’s house: and he died
19 ૧૯ યરોબામના માર્ગમાં તથા ઇઝરાયલની પાસે તેણે જે પાપ કરાવ્યું હતું તેમાં ચાલવાથી અને યહોવાહની દ્રષ્ટિમાં જે ખરાબ હતું તે કરીને તેણે જે જે પાપો કર્યા તેને લીધે આ બન્યું હતું.
In his sins, which he had sinned, doing evil before the Lord, and walking in the way of Jeroboam, and in his sin, wherewith he made Israel to sin.
20 ૨૦ ઝિમ્રીનાં બાકીનાં કાર્યો, તેણે કરેલો રાજદ્રોહ તે સર્વ વિષે ઇઝરાયલના રાજાઓના ઇતિહાસના પુસ્તકમાં લખેલું નથી શું?
But the rest of the acts of Zambri, and of his conspiracy and tyranny, are they not written in the book of the words of the days of the kings of Israel?
21 ૨૧ ત્યાર બાદ ઇઝરાયલના લોકોમાં બે પક્ષો પડી ગયા. એક પક્ષ ગિનાથના પુત્ર તિબ્નીને અનુસરતો હતો અને તેને રાજા બનાવવા માગતો હતો અને બીજો ઓમ્રીને અનુસરતો હતો.
Then were the people of Israel divided into two parts: one half of the people followed Thebni the son of Gineth, to make him king: and one half followed Amri.
22 ૨૨ પણ જે લોકો ઓમ્રીને અનુસરતા હતા, તેઓ ગિનાથના દીકરા તિબ્નીને અનુસરનારા લોકો કરતાં વધુ બળવાન હતા. તેથી તિબ્નીને મારી નાખવામાં આવ્યો અને ઓમ્રી રાજા થયો.
But the people that were with Amri, prevailed over the people that followed Thebni the son of Gineth: and Thebni died, and Amri reigned.
23 ૨૩ યહૂદિયાના રાજા આસાના એકત્રીસમા વર્ષે ઓમ્રી ઇઝરાયલ પર રાજ કરવા લાગ્યો. તેણે બાર વર્ષ સુધી રાજ કર્યું. તેમાંથી તેણે છ વર્ષ તિર્સામાં રાજ કર્યું.
In the one and thirtieth year of Asa king of Juda, Amri reigned over Israel twelve years: in Thersa he reigned six years.
24 ૨૪ તેણે શેમેર પાસેથી સમરુન પર્વત બે તાલંત ચાંદી આપીને ખરીદી લીધો. તેના પર તેણે નગર બંધાવ્યું અને શેમેરના નામ પરથી તેનું નામ સમરુન પાડયું.
And he bought the hill of Samaria of Semer for two talents of silver: and he built upon it, and he called the city which he built Samaria, after the name of Semer the owner of the hill.
25 ૨૫ ઓમ્રીએ યહોવાહની દ્રષ્ટિમાં જે ખરાબ હતું તે કર્યું અને તેની અગાઉના સર્વ કરતાં તેણે વિશેષ દુરાચારો કર્યા.
And Amri did evil in the sight of the Lord, and acted wickedly above all that were before him.
26 ૨૬ તે નબાટના પુત્ર યરોબામને માર્ગે ચાલ્યો, તેના પાપ વડે ઇઝરાયલ પાસે પણ પાપ કરાવ્યાં તથા તેઓની મૂર્તિઓને લીધે ઇઝરાયલના ઈશ્વર યહોવાહને કોપાયમાન કર્યાં.
And he walked in all the way of Jeroboam the son of Nabat, and in his sins wherewith he made Israel to sin: to provoke the Lord the God of Israel to anger with their vanities.
27 ૨૭ ઓમ્રીનાં બાકીનાં કાર્યો, તેણે જે સર્વ કર્યું તે તથા તેણે જે પરાક્રમો બતાવ્યાં તે સર્વ ઇઝરાયલના રાજાઓના ઇતિહાસના પુસ્તકમાં લખેલાં નથી શું?
Now the rest of the acts of Amri, and the battles he fought, are they not written in the book of the words of the days of the kings of Israel?
28 ૨૮ પછી ઓમ્રી તેના પિતૃઓ સાથે ઊંઘી ગયો અને તેને સમરુનમાં દફનાવવામાં આવ્યો. તેના પછી તેનો પુત્ર આહાબ રાજા બન્યો.
And Amri slept with his fathers, and was buried in Samaria, and Achab his son reigned in his stead.
29 ૨૯ યહૂદિયાના રાજા આસાના આડત્રીસમા વર્ષે ઓમ્રીનો પુત્ર આહાબ ઇઝરાયલ પર રાજ કરવા લાગ્યો. તેણે સમરુનમાં બાવીસ વર્ષ સુધી રાજ કર્યું.
Now Achab the son of Amri reigned over Israel in the eight and thirtieth year of Asa king of Juda. And Achab the son of Amri reigned over Israel in Samaria two and twenty years.
30 ૩૦ ઓમ્રીના પુત્ર આહાબે યહોવાહની દ્રષ્ટિમાં દુષ્ટ હતું તે કર્યું અને તેની અગાઉના સર્વ કરતાં તેણે વધારે દુરાચારો કર્યા.
And Achab the son of Amri did evil in the sight of the Lord above all that were before him.
31 ૩૧ એમ થયું કે, નબાટના પુત્ર યરોબામના માર્ગે ચાલવું તેને માટે એક નજીવી બાબત હોય તેમ તેણે સિદોનીઓના રાજા એથ્બાલની દીકરી ઇઝબેલ સાથે લગ્ન કર્યા. તેણે બઆલ દેવની પૂજા કરીને તેને દંડવત પ્રણામ કર્યા.
Nor was it enough for him to walk in the sins of Jeroboam the son of Nabat: but he also took to wife Jezabel daughter of Ethbaal king of the Sidonians. And he went, and served Baal, and adored him.
And he set up an altar for Baal in the temple of Baal, which he had built in Samaria,
33 ૩૩ આહાબે અશેરાની પણ એક મૂર્તિ બનાવડાવી અને તેણે બીજા ઇઝરાયલી રાજાઓ કરતાં પણ વિશેષ દુષ્ટતા કરીને ઇઝરાયલના ઈશ્વર યહોવાહને રોષ ચઢાવ્યો.
And he planted a grove: and Achab did more to provoke the Lord the God of Israel, than all the kings of Israel that were before him.
34 ૩૪ તેના સમય દરમિયાન બેથેલના હીએલે યરીખો નગર ફરી બંધાવ્યું. તેણે જ્યારે તેનો પાયો નાખ્યો ત્યારે તેનો સૌથી મોટો પુત્ર અબિરામ મૃત્યુ પામ્યો અને જ્યારે તેના દરવાજાઓ બેસાડ્યા. ત્યારે તેનો સૌથી નાનો પુત્ર સગુબ મૃત્યુ પામ્યો. યહોવાહ જે વચન નૂનના પુત્ર યહોશુઆની મારફતે બોલ્યા હતા તે પ્રમાણે થયું.
In his days Hiel of Bethel built Jericho: in Abiram his firstborn he laid its foundations: and in his youngest son Segub he set up the gates thereof: according to the word of the Lord, which he spoke in the hand of Josue the son of Nun.
