યોહાનનો પહેલો પત્ર 5

1 ૧ ઈસુ એ જ ખ્રિસ્ત છે એવો જે કોઈ વિશ્વાસ કરે છે, તે ઈશ્વરથી જન્મેલો છે. અને પિતા પર જે પ્રેમ રાખે છે તે તેનાથી જન્મેલાં પર પણ પ્રેમ રાખે છે.

Everyone who is believing that Jesus is the Christ has been begotten of God, and everyone who is loving Him who begot, also loves him who is begotten of Him.

2 ૨ જયારે આપણે ઈશ્વર પર પ્રેમ રાખીએ છીએ અને તેમની આજ્ઞાઓ પાળીએ છીએ, ત્યારે એથી આપણે જાણીએ છીએ કે આપણે ઈશ્વરનાં બાળકો પર પણ પ્રેમ રાખીએ છીએ.

In this we know that we love the children of God, when we may love God and may keep His commands;

3 ૩ કેમ કે ઈશ્વર પરનો પ્રેમ એ છે કે આપણે તેમની આજ્ઞાઓ પાળીએ, કેમ કે તેમની આજ્ઞાઓ પાળવી એ ભારરૂપ નથી.

for this is the love of God, that we may keep His commands, and His commands are not burdensome;

4 ૪ કેમ કે જે ઈશ્વરથી જન્મેલું છે તે જગતને જીતે છે અને જે વિજય જગતને જીત્યું છે તે આપણો વિશ્વાસ છે.

because everyone who is begotten of God overcomes the world, and this is the victory that overcame the world—our faith.

5 ૫ જે વિશ્વાસ કરે છે કે ઈસુ ઈશ્વરના પુત્ર છે તે વગર અન્ય કોણ જગતને જીતી શકે છે?

Who is he who is overcoming the world, if not he who is believing that Jesus is the Son of God?

6 ૬ પાણીથી તથા રક્તથી જે આવ્યા તે એ છે; એટલે ઈસુ ખ્રિસ્ત. તેઓ કેવળ પાણીથી નહિ, પણ પાણી તથા રક્તથી આવ્યા છે.

This One is He who came through water and blood—Jesus the Christ, not in water only, but in the water and the blood; and the Spirit is the [One] testifying, because the Spirit is the truth,

7 ૭ જે સાક્ષી પૂરે છે તે તો પવિત્ર આત્મા છે, કેમ કે આત્મા સત્ય છે.

because [there] are three who are testifying [[in Heaven: the Father, the Word, and the Holy Spirit, and these three are one;

8 ૮ સ્વર્ગમાં ત્રણ સાક્ષી આપે છે. પવિત્ર આત્મા, પાણી અને રક્ત આ ત્રણ એક સાથે સમંત છે.

and [there] are three who are testifying in the earth]]: the Spirit, and the water, and the blood, and the three are into the one.

9 ૯ જો આપણે માણસોની સાક્ષી માનીએ છીએ, તો એ કરતાં ઈશ્વરની સાક્ષી મહાન છે, કેમ કે ઈશ્વરે પોતાના પુત્ર સંબંધી જે સાક્ષી આપી છે તે એ જ છે.

If we receive the testimony of men, the testimony of God is greater, because this is the testimony of God that He has testified concerning His Son.

10 ૧૦ જે ઈશ્વરના પુત્ર પર વિશ્વાસ રાખે છે, તેના પોતાનામાં તે સાક્ષી છે; જે ઈશ્વર પર વિશ્વાસ રાખતો નથી તેણે તેમને જૂઠા પાડ્યાં છે. કેમ કે ઈશ્વરે પોતાના પુત્ર વિષે જે સાક્ષી આપી છે, તે સાક્ષી પર તેણે વિશ્વાસ રાખ્યો નથી.

He who is believing in the Son of God has the testimony in himself; he who is not believing God has made Him a liar, because he has not believed in the testimony that God has testified concerning His Son;

11 ૧૧ આ સાક્ષી એવી છે કે ઈશ્વરે આપણને અનંતજીવન આપ્યું છે અને એ જીવન તેમના પુત્ર ઈસુમાં છે. (aiōnios g166)

and this is the testimony, that God gave continuous life to us, and this life is in His Son; (aiōnios g166)

12 ૧૨ જેની પાસે ઈશ્વરના પુત્ર છે તેને જીવન છે. જેની પાસે ઈશ્વરના પુત્ર નથી, તેને જીવન નથી.

he who is having the Son has life; he who is not having the Son of God does not have life.

13 ૧૩ તમને અનંતજીવન છે એ તમે જાણો, માટે તમારા ઉપર, એટલે ઈશ્વરના પુત્રના નામ પર વિશ્વાસ રાખનારાઓ ઉપર, મેં આ વાતો લખી છે. (aiōnios g166)

I wrote these things to you who are believing in the Name of the Son of God, that you may know that you have continuous life, and that you may believe in the Name of the Son of God. (aiōnios g166)

14 ૧૪ તેના વિષે આપણને જે હિંમત છે તે એ છે કે જો આપણે ઈશ્વરની ઇચ્છા પ્રમાણે કંઈ પણ માગીએ, તો તેઓ આપણું સાંભળે છે.

And this is the boldness that we have toward Him, that if we may ask anything according to His will, He hears us,

15 ૧૫ જો આપણે જાણીએ કે, આપણે જે કંઈ માગીએ તે સંબંધી ઈશ્વર આપણું સાંભળે છે, તો જે આપણે તેમની પાસે માગ્યું છે તે આપણને મળે છે, એ પણ આપણે જાણીએ છીએ.

and if we have known that He hears us, whatever we may ask, we have known that we have the requests that we have requested from Him.

16 ૧૬ જો કોઈ પોતાના ભાઈને મરણકારક નથી એવું પાપ કરતો જુએ તો તેણે તેના માટે પ્રાર્થના કરવી, માટે ઈશ્વર તેને જીવન આપશે. મરણકારક એવું પણ પાપ છે; તે વિષે હું કહેતો નથી કે તમારે તે માટે પ્રાર્થના કરવી જોઈએ.

If anyone may see his brother sinning a sin [that is] not to death, he will ask, and He will give life to him—to those not sinning to death; there is sin to death—I do not say that he may ask concerning it;

17 ૧૭ સર્વ અન્યાય પાપ છે, પણ મરણકારક નથી એવું પણ પાપ છે.

all unrighteousness is sin, and there is sin [that is] not to death.

18 ૧૮ આપણે જાણીએ છીએ કે દરેક જે ઈશ્વરથી જન્મેલો છે તે પાપમાં ચાલુ રહેતો નથી, પણ જે ઈશ્વરથી જનમ્યો છે તે તેને સંભાળે છે. તેથી દુષ્ટ તેને નુકસાન કરી શકતો નથી.

We have known that everyone who has been begotten of God does not sin, but He who was begotten of God keeps him, and the evil one does not touch him;

19 ૧૯ આખું માનવજગત તે દુષ્ટની સત્તામાં રહે છે. પણ આપણે જાણીએ છીએ કે આપણે ઈશ્વરના છીએ.

we have known that we are of God, and the whole world lies [under the power] of the evil [one];

20 ૨૦ વળી આપણે જાણીએ છીએ કે ઈશ્વરના પુત્ર આવ્યા છે અને જે સત્ય છે તેને ઓળખવા સારુ તેમણે આપણને સમજણ આપી છે અને જે સત્ય છે, એટલે તેમના પુત્ર ઈસુ ખ્રિસ્ત, તેમનાંમાં આપણે છીએ; એ જ ઈશ્વર સાચા, સત્ય અને અનંતજીવન છે. (aiōnios g166)

but we have known that the Son of God has come, and has given us a mind that we may know Him who is true, and we are in Him who is true, in His Son Jesus Christ; this One is the true God and the continuous Life! (aiōnios g166)

21 ૨૧ પ્રિય બાળકો, મૂર્તિઓથી સાવધ રહો.

Little children, guard yourselves from idols! Amen.
