કરિંથીઓને પહેલોપત્ર 5
1 ૧ મારા સાંભળવામાં આવ્યું એવું છે કે તમારામાં વ્યભિચાર વ્યાપેલો છે, અને તે પણ એવો કે જે બિનયહૂદીને પણ ચાલતો નથી; એટલે કે કોઈએ પોતાની સાવકી માને રાખી છે.
It is generally reported that there is incest among you; and such incest as is not even among the heathens--that one has his father's wife.
2 ૨ એમ છતાં એ બાબતો વિષે શરમિંદા થવાને બદલે તમે છાતીકાઢીને ચાલો છો! જેણે આ કામ કર્યું છે તેને તમારે તમારામાંથી દૂર કરવો જોઈતો હતો.
And you are puffed up, and have not rather bewailed, so that he who has done this work might be taken from among you.
3 ૩ કેમ કે શરીરે હું ગેરહાજર છતાં, આત્મામાં પ્રત્યક્ષ હોવાથી, જાણે હું પોતે હાજર હોઉં એમ, એ કામ કરનારાનો ન્યાય કરી ચૂક્યો છું.
Wherefore, I, indeed, as absent in the body yet present in spirit, have already, as present, judged him who committed this act.
4 ૪ કે આપણા પ્રભુ ઈસુ ખ્રિસ્તનાં સામર્થ્ય સહિત, તમે મારા આત્મા સાથે એકઠા મળીને આપણા પ્રભુ ઈસુ ખ્રિસ્તનાં નામે,
My sentence is this: You being assembled, my spirit also being with you; in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ, with the power of the Lord Jesus Christ,
5 ૫ તમારે એ માણસને શરીરનાં નુકસાનને સારુ શેતાનને સોંપવો કે જેથી પ્રભુ ઈસુના પુનરાગમન સમયે તેનો આત્મા ઉદ્ધાર પામે.
deliver this very person up to Satan for the destruction of the flesh, that the spirit may be saved in the day of the Lord Jesus.
Your boasting is not becoming. Do you not know, that a little leaven leavens the whole mass?
7 ૭ તમે જૂના ખમીરને કાઢી નાખો, એ માટે કે જેમ તમે બેખમીર છો, તેમ તમે નવા થઈ જાઓ, કેમ કે આપણા પાસ્ખાયજ્ઞ એટલે ખ્રિસ્ત ઈસુએ, આપણે માટે તેમનું બલિદાન આપ્યું છે.
Cleanse out, therefore, the old leaven, that you may be a new lump, seeing you are without leaven; for even our passover, Christ is sacrificed for us.
8 ૮ એ માટે જૂના ખમીરથી નહિ, એટલે પાપ તથા દુષ્ટતાનાં ખમીરથી નહિ, પણ નિખાલસપણા તથા સત્યતાની બેખમીર રોટલીથી આપણે પાસ્ખાપર્વ ઊજવીએ.
Therefore, let us keep the feast, not with old leaven, neither with the leaven of malice and wickedness: but with unleavened sincerity and truth.
I wrote you, in that epistle, not to associate with the vicious;
10 ૧૦ પણ આ દુનિયાના વ્યભિચારીઓ તથા લોભીઓ, જુલમી કે મૂર્તિપૂજકોની સંગત ન કરો એમ નહિ; કેમ કે જો એમ હોય તો તમારે માનવજગતમાંથી નીકળી જવું પડે.
but I did not mean in general the fornicators of this world, the avaricious, the rapacious, or the idolaters; seeing, then, indeed, you must go out of the world.
11 ૧૧ પણ હમણાં મેં તમને લખ્યું છે, કે જે આપણો ભાઈ કહેવાય છે, એવો જો કોઈ વ્યભિચારી, લોભી, મૂર્તિપૂજક, નિંદા કરનારો, સ્વછંદી કે જુલમ કરનારો હોય, તો એવા માણસોની સંગત કરવી નહિ, અને તેની સાથે બેસીને ખાવું પણ નહિ.
But now I write to you, if any one, called a brother, be a fornicator, or a covetous person, or an idolater, or a reviler, or a drunkard, or an extortioner; not to associate, not even to eat, with such a person.
12 ૧૨ કેમ કે બહારનાઓનો ન્યાય મારે શું કામ કરવો છે? જેઓ વિશ્વાસી સમુદાયમાનાં છે તેઓનો ન્યાય તમે કરો છો કે નહિ?
For what have I to do to pronounce sentence on them also who are without? Do not you judge them who are within?
But them are without, God judges. Therefore, put away from among yourselves the wicked person.
