1 કાળવ્રત્તાંત 25

1 ૧ દાઉદે અને સૈન્યના અમલદારોએ સેવાને માટે આસાફના, હેમાનના અને યદૂથૂનના પુત્રોમાંથી કેટલાકને વીણા, સિતાર અને ઝાંઝ વડે સ્તોત્ર ગાવા સારુ જુદા કર્યા. તેઓને સોંપેલી સેવા પ્રમાણે ફરજ બજાવનારાઓની યાદી આ મુજબ છે:

And David and the captains of the host set apart for service, unto the sons of Asaph and Heman and Jeduthun, such as should prophesy, with lyres, with harps, and with cymbals, —and, the number of the workers, for their service, was:

2 ૨ આસાફના પુત્રો: ઝાક્કૂર, યૂસફ, નાથાન્યા અને અશારેલા; આસાફના હાથ નીચે હતા. રાજાની દેખરેખમાં, આસફ પ્રબોધવાણીનું કામ કરતો હતો.

Of the sons of Asaph, Zaccur and Joseph and Nethaniah and Asarelah, the sons of Asaph, —under the direction of Asaph, who prophesied under the direction of the king.

3 ૩ યદૂથૂનના છ પુત્રો: ગદાલ્યા, સરી, યશાયા, શિમઈ, હશાબ્યા અને માત્તિથ્યા. તેઓ પોતાના પિતા યદૂથૂન કે જે વીણા વડે આભાર માનતો તથા ઈશ્વરની સ્તુતિ કરતી વખતે બોધકનું કામ કરતો હતો, તેના હાથ નીચે હતા.

Of Jeduthun, the sons of Jeduthun, —Gedaliah, and Zeri, and Jeshaiah, Hashabiah, and Mattithiah—six, under the direction of their father Jeduthun, with the lyre, as he prophesied, in giving thanks and offering praise unto Yahweh.

4 ૪ હેમાનના પુત્રો: બુક્કિયા, માત્તાન્યા, ઉઝિયેલ, શબુએલ, યરિમોથ, હનાન્યા, હનાની, અલિયાથા, ગિદાલ્તી, રોમામ્તી-એઝેર, યોશ્બકાશા, માલ્લોથી, હોથીર અને માહઝીઓથ.

Of Heman, the sons of Heman—Bukkiah, Mattaniah, Uzziel, Shebuel, and Jeremoth, Hananiah, Hanani, Eliathah, Giddalti, and Romamti-ezer, Joshbekashah, Mallothi, Hothir, Mahazioth.

5 ૫ તેઓ રાજાના દ્રષ્ટા હેમાનના પુત્રો હતા. તેઓ શિંગ વગાડનારા હતા. ઈશ્વરે હેમાનને ચૌદ પુત્રો અને ત્રણ પુત્રીઓ આપ્યાં હતા.

All these, were sons of Heman, the seer of the king in the things of God, at the lifting of the horn. And God gave to Heman, fourteen sons and three daughters,

6 ૬ તેઓ સર્વ પોતાના પિતાના હાથ નીચે ફરજ બજાવતા હતા. અને ઈશ્વરના ભક્તિસ્થાનમાં ઝાંઝો, સિતાર અને વાદન તથા ગાયન કરીને પ્રભુની સેવા કરતા હતા. આસાફ, યદૂથૂન તથા હેમાન પોતે તો રાજાના હાથ નીચે હતા.

All these, were under the direction of their father, in the singing of the house of Yahweh, with cymbals, harps and lyres, for the service of the house of God, —Asaph and Jeduthun and Heman, under the direction of the king.

7 ૭ તેઓના ભાઈઓ ઈશ્વરની આગળ સંગીતમાં કુશળ તથા બાહોશ ગાયકો હતા. તેઓની કુલ સંખ્યા બસો અઠ્ઠયાસી હતી.

And, the number of them—with their brethren, who were instructed in singing unto Yahweh, —even all the skilful, was two hundred and eighty-eight.

8 ૮ તેઓએ સરખે ભાગે, નાના તેમ જ મોટાએ, ગુરુએ તેમ જ શિષ્યએ, ચિઠ્ઠીઓ નાખીને પોતાનું કામ વહેંચી લીધું.

So they cast lots for their charges, all alike, as the small so the great, the teacher with the learner.

9 ૯ પહેલી ચિઠ્ઠી આસાફના પુત્ર યૂસફની નીકળી. બીજી ચિઠ્ઠી ગદાલ્યાની, તે, તેના પુત્રો અને ભાઈઓ મળીને કુલ બાર હતા.

And the first lot came forth for Asaph, to Joseph, —Gedaliah, the second, he and his brethren and his sons, twelve.

10 ૧૦ ત્રીજી ચિઠ્ઠી ઝાક્કૂરની. તે તેના પુત્રો અને ભાઈઓ મળીને કુલ બાર હતા;

The third, Zaccur, his sons and his brethren, twelve.

11 ૧૧ ચોથી ચિઠ્ઠી યિસ્રીની તે, તેના પુત્રો અને તેના ભાઈઓ મળીને કુલ બાર હતા.

The fourth, to Izri, his sons and his brethren, twelve.

12 ૧૨ પાંચમી ચિઠ્ઠી નાથાન્યાની. તે, તેના ભાઈઓ અને પુત્રો મળીને કુલ બાર હતા.

The fifth, Nethaniah, his sons and his brethren, twelve.

13 ૧૩ છઠ્ઠી બુક્કિયાની. તે, તેના પુત્રો અને ભાઈઓ મળીને કુલ બાર હતા.

The sixth, Bukkiah, his sons and his brethren, twelve.

14 ૧૪ સાતમી યશારેલાની. તે તેના પુત્રો અને ભાઈઓ મળીને કુલ બાર હતા;

The seventh, Jesharelah, his sons and his brethren, twelve.

15 ૧૫ આઠમી યશાયાની. તે, તેના પુત્રો અને ભાઈઓ મળીને કુલ બાર હતા.

The eighth, Jeshaiah, his sons and his brethren, twelve.

16 ૧૬ નવમી માત્તાન્યાની. તે, તેના પુત્રો અને ભાઈઓ મળીને કુલ બાર હતા.

The ninth, Mattaniah, his sons and his brethren, twelve.

17 ૧૭ દસમી શિમઈની. તે, તેના પુત્રો અને ભાઈઓ મળીને કુલ બાર હતા.

The tenth, Shimei, his sons and his brethren, twelve.

18 ૧૮ અગિયારમી અઝારેલની. તે, તેના પુત્રો અને ભાઈઓ મળીને કુલ બાર હતા.

The eleventh, Azarel, his sons and his brethren, twelve.

19 ૧૯ બારમી હશાબ્યાની. તે, તેના પુત્રો અને ભાઈઓ મળીને કુલ બાર હતા.

The twelfth, to Hashabiah, his sons and his brethren, twelve.

20 ૨૦ તેરમી શુબાએલની. તે, તેના પુત્રો અને ભાઈઓ મળીને કુલ બાર હતા.

As the thirteenth, Shubael, his sons and his brethren, twelve.

21 ૨૧ ચૌદમી માત્તિથ્યાની. તેના પુત્રો અને ભાઈઓ મળીને કુલ બાર હતા.

As the fourteenth, Mattithiah, his sons and his brethren, twelve.

22 ૨૨ પંદરમી યેરેમોથની. તે, તેના પુત્રો અને ભાઈઓ મળીને કુલ બાર હતા.

As the fifteenth, to Jeremoth, his sons and his brethren, twelve.

23 ૨૩ સોળમી હનાન્યાની, તે, તેના પુત્રો અને ભાઈઓ મળીને કુલ બાર હતા;

As the sixteenth, to Hananiah, his sons and his brethren, twelve.

24 ૨૪ સત્તરમી યોશ્બકાશાની. તે, તેના પુત્રો અને ભાઈઓ મળીને કુલ બાર હતા.

As the seventeenth, to Joshbekashah, his sons and his brethren, twelve.

25 ૨૫ અઢારમી હનાનીની. તે, તેના પુત્રો અને ભાઈઓ મળીને કુલ બાર હતા;

As the eighteenth, to Hanani, his sons and his brethren, twelve.

26 ૨૬ ઓગણીસમી માલ્લોથીની. તે, તેના પુત્રો અને ભાઈઓ મળીને કુલ બાર હતા.

As the nineteenth, to Mallothi, his sons and his brethren, twelve.

27 ૨૭ વીસમી અલીયાથાની. તે, તેના પુત્રો અને ભાઈઓ મળીને કુલ બાર હતા.

As the twentieth, to Eliathah, his sons and his brethren, twelve.

28 ૨૮ એકવીસમી હોથીરની. તે, તેના પુત્રો અને ભાઈઓ મળીને કુલ બાર હતા.

As the twenty-first, to Hothir, his sons and his brethren, twelve.

29 ૨૯ બાવીસમી ગિદાલ્તીની. તે, તેના પુત્રો અને ભાઈઓ મળીને કુલ બાર હતા.

As the twenty-second, to Giddalti, his sons and his brethren, twelve.

30 ૩૦ ત્રેવીસમી માહઝીઓથની. તે, તેના પુત્રો અને ભાઈઓ મળીને કુલ બાર હતા.

As the twenty-third, to Mahazioth, his sons and his brethren, twelve.

31 ૩૧ ચોવીસમી રોમામ્તી-એઝેરની. તે, તેના પુત્રો અને ભાઈઓ મળીને કુલ બાર હતા.

As the twenty-fourth, to Romamti-ezer, his sons and his brethren, twelve.
