1 ૧ દાઉદે પલિસ્તીઓ પર હુમલો કરીને તેઓને હરાવ્યા અને તેઓના હાથમાંથી ગાથ નગર અને તેની આસપાસનાં ગામો પોતાના તાબે કરી લીધાં.
And it came to pass afterwards, that David smote the Philistines, and routed them, and took Geth and its villages out of the hand of the Philistines.
And he smote Moab; and the Moabites became servants to David, [and] tributaries.
3 ૩ એ પછી દાઉદે સોબાહના રાજા હદાદેઝેરને હમાથ આગળ હરાવ્યો અને હદારએઝેર ફ્રાત નદીની આસપાસના જે પ્રદેશ પર પોતાનું નિયંત્રણ સ્થાપવા માગતો હતો તે પર દાઉદે કબજો કર્યો.
And David smote Adraazar king of Suba of Emath, as he was going to establish power toward the river Euphrates.
4 ૪ દાઉદે તેની પાસેથી તેના એક હજાર રથો, સાત હજાર ઘોડેસવારો અને વીસ હજાર પાયદળ સૈનિકોને કબજે કર્યા. તેણે રથોના સર્વ ઘોડાના પગની નસો કાપી નાખી, પણ તેણે પોતાના સો રથોને માટે પૂરતા ઘોડાઓનો બચાવ કર્યો.
And David took of them a thousand chariots, and seven thousand horsemen, and twenty thousand infantry: and David houghed all the chariot [horses], but there were reserved of them a hundred chariots.
5 ૫ દમસ્કસના અરામીઓ સોબાહના રાજા હદાદેઝેરની સહાય કરવા આવ્યા ત્યારે દાઉદે બાવીસ હજાર અરામી સૈનિકોને મારી નાખ્યા.
And the Syrian came from Damascus to help Adraazar king of Suba; and David smote of the Syrian [army] twenty and two thousand men.
6 ૬ પછી દાઉદે દમસ્કસના અરામીઓના વિસ્તારમાં લશ્કરો ગોઠવ્યા. તેઓ દાઉદના દાસો બની ગયા અને તેઓ તેને કર આપવા લાગ્યા. દાઉદ જ્યાં કંઈ ગયો ત્યાં યહોવાહે તેને વિજય અપાવ્યો.
And David put a garrison in Syria near Damascus; and they became tributary servants to David: and the Lord delivered David wherever he went.
And David took the golden collars that were on the servants of Adraazar, and brought them to Jerusalem.
8 ૮ વળી દાઉદે હદાદેઝેરના નગરો ટિબ્હાથ અને કૂનમાંથી પુષ્કળ પિત્તળ મેળવ્યું તેમાંથી સુલેમાને પિત્તળનો મોટો હોજ, સ્તંભો અને પિત્તળનાં વાસણો ભક્તિસ્થાન માટે તૈયાર કરાવ્યાં.
And David took out of Matabeth, and out of the chief cities of Adraazar very much brass: of this Solomon made the brazen sea, and the pillars, and the brazen vessels.
9 ૯ હમાથના રાજા તોઉએ સાંભળ્યું કે દાઉદે સોબાહના રાજા હદાદેઝેરને હરાવીને તેના સૈન્યનો સંહાર કર્યો છે,
And Thoa king of Emath heard that David had smitten the whole force of Adraazar king of Suba.
10 ૧૦ ત્યારે તેણે પોતાના પુત્ર હદોરામને દાઉદ પાસે સોનું, ચાંદી અને પિત્તળનાં વાસણો લઈને તેને સન્માનવા અને હદાદેઝેરને યુદ્ધમાં હરાવવા બદલ ધન્યવાદ આપવા મોકલ્યો. કારણ કે, હદાદેઝેરને તોઉ સાથે યુદ્ધ ચાલ્યા કરતું હતું.
And he sent Aduram his son to king David to ask how he was, and to congratulate him because he had fought against Adraazar, and smitten him; for Thoa was the enemy of Adraazar.

And all the golden and silver and brazen vessels, even these king David consecrated to the Lord, with the silver and the gold which he took from all the nations; from Idumaea, and Moab, and from the children of Ammon, and from the Philistines, and from Amalec.
And Abesa son of Saruia smote the Idumeans in the valley of Salt, eighteen thousand.
13 ૧૩ તેણે સમગ્ર અદોમ પ્રદેશમાં લશ્કરી છાવણીઓ ગોઠવી. બધા અદોમીઓ હવે દાઉદના દાસ બની ગયા. આમ, દાઉદ જ્યાં કંઈ ગયો, ત્યાં યહોવાહે તેને વિજય અપાવ્યો.
And he put garrisons in the valley; and all the Idumaeans became David's servants: and the Lord delivered David wherever he went.
So David reigned over all Israel; and he executed judgment and justice to all his people.
And Joab the son of Saruia [was] over the army, and Josaphat the son of Achilud [was] recorder.
And Sadoc son of Achitob, and Achimelech son of Abiathar, [were] the priests; and Susa [was] the scribe;
17 ૧૭ યહોયાદાનો પુત્ર બનાયા રાજાના અંગરક્ષકો કરેથીઓ અને પલેથીઓનો ઉપરી હતો. અને દાઉદના દીકરાઓ રાજાની સમક્ષ મુખ્ય સલાહકારો હતા.
and Banaeas the son of Jodae [was] over the Cherethite and the Phelethite, and the sons of David were the chief deputies of the king.
