Προς Εφεσιους 3
1 Τούτου χάριν, ἐγὼ Παῦλος, ὁ δέσμιος τοῦ ˚Χριστοῦ ˚Ἰησοῦ ὑπὲρ ὑμῶν τῶν ἐθνῶν–
For this reason, I Paul, the prisoner of the Christ Jesus on account of you Gentiles,
2 εἴ γε ἠκούσατε τὴν οἰκονομίαν τῆς χάριτος τοῦ ˚Θεοῦ, τῆς δοθείσης μοι εἰς ὑμᾶς,
if, indeed, you have heard of the stewardship of the grace of God, which was given to me for your benefit,
3 κατὰ ἀποκάλυψιν ἐγνωρίσθη μοι τὸ μυστήριον, καθὼς προέγραψα ἐν ὀλίγῳ,
that by revelation was made known to me the mystery, (as I briefly wrote above,
4 πρὸς ὃ δύνασθε ἀναγινώσκοντες νοῆσαι τὴν σύνεσίν μου ἐν τῷ μυστηρίῳ τοῦ ˚Χριστοῦ,
so that, when you read, you can see my understanding in the mystery of the Christ, )
5 ὃ ἑτέραις γενεαῖς οὐκ ἐγνωρίσθη τοῖς υἱοῖς τῶν ἀνθρώπων, ὡς νῦν ἀπεκαλύφθη τοῖς ἁγίοις ἀποστόλοις αὐτοῦ καὶ προφήταις ἐν ˚Πνεύματι,
which, in other generations, was not made known to the sons of men, as it is now revealed to his holy apostles and prophets by the Spirit;
6 εἶναι τὰ ἔθνη, συγκληρονόμα, καὶ σύσσωμα, καὶ συμμέτοχα, τῆς ἐπαγγελίας ἐν ˚Χριστῷ ˚Ἰησοῦ, διὰ τοῦ εὐαγγελίου,
that the Gentiles should be fellow-heirs, and of the same body, and partakers of his promise in the Christ, through the gospel,
7 οὗ ἐγενήθην διάκονος κατὰ τὴν δωρεὰν τῆς χάριτος τοῦ ˚Θεοῦ τῆς δοθείσης μοι, κατὰ τὴν ἐνέργειαν τῆς δυνάμεως αὐτοῦ.
of which I was made a minister according to the gift of the grace of God which was given to me, in proportion to the energy of his power:
8 Ἐμοὶ τῷ, ἐλαχιστοτέρῳ πάντων ἁγίων, ἐδόθη ἡ χάρις αὕτη, τοῖς ἔθνεσιν εὐαγγελίσασθαι, τὸ ἀνεξιχνίαστον πλοῦτος τοῦ ˚Χριστοῦ,
to me, who am by far the least of all the saints, has this grace been given, that I might preach among the Gentiles the unsearchable riches of the Christ,
9 καὶ φωτίσαι πάντας, τίς ἡ οἰκονομία τοῦ μυστηρίου, τοῦ ἀποκεκρυμμένου ἀπὸ τῶν αἰώνων ἐν τῷ ˚Θεῷ, τῷ τὰ πάντα κτίσαντι, (aiōn g165)
and enlighten all men with respect to the plan of the mystery, which was concealed from the ages in God, who created all things; (aiōn g165)
10 ἵνα γνωρισθῇ νῦν ταῖς ἀρχαῖς καὶ ταῖς ἐξουσίαις ἐν τοῖς ἐπουρανίοις διὰ τῆς ἐκκλησίας ἡ πολυποίκιλος σοφία τοῦ ˚Θεοῦ,
to the end that the manifold wisdom of God might now be made known, through the church, to the principalities and authorities in the heavenly regions,
according to the arrangement of the ages, which he established by Christ Jesus our Lord, (aiōn g165)
12 ἐν ᾧ ἔχομεν τὴν παρρησίαν καὶ προσαγωγὴν ἐν πεποιθήσει διὰ τῆς πίστεως αὐτοῦ.
in whom we have boldness and access with confidence, through our faith in him.
13 Διὸ αἰτοῦμαι μὴ ἐγκακεῖν ἐν ταῖς θλίψεσίν μου ὑπὲρ ὑμῶν, ἥτις ἐστὶν δόξα ὑμῶν.
For which cause I beseech you not to grow faint on account of my afflictions for you, which are your glory.
14 Τούτου χάριν, κάμπτω τὰ γόνατά μου πρὸς τὸν Πατέρα,
For this reason I bow my knees to the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ,
15 ἐξ οὗ πᾶσα πατριὰ ἐν οὐρανοῖς καὶ ἐπὶ γῆς ὀνομάζεται,
from whom the whole family in heaven and on earth is named,
16 ἵνα δῷ ὑμῖν κατὰ τὸ πλοῦτος τῆς δόξης αὐτοῦ, δυνάμει κραταιωθῆναι διὰ τοῦ ˚Πνεύματος αὐτοῦ εἰς τὸν ἔσω ἄνθρωπον,
that he may grant to you, according to the riches of his glory, to be mightily strengthened by his Spirit in the inner man,
17 κατοικῆσαι τὸν ˚Χριστὸν διὰ τῆς πίστεως ἐν ταῖς καρδίαις ὑμῶν ἐν ἀγάπῃ, ἐρριζωμένοι καὶ τεθεμελιωμένοι,
that Christ may dwell in your hearts through the faith;
18 ἵνα ἐξισχύσητε καταλαβέσθαι σὺν πᾶσιν τοῖς ἁγίοις, τί τὸ πλάτος, καὶ μῆκος, καὶ ὕψος, καὶ βάθος,
that, being rooted and founded in love, you may be fully able to comprehend with all the saints what is the breadth and length and depth and hight,
19 γνῶναί τε τὴν ὑπερβάλλουσαν τῆς γνώσεως ἀγάπην τοῦ ˚Χριστοῦ, ἵνα πληρωθῆτε εἰς πᾶν τὸ πλήρωμα τοῦ ˚Θεοῦ.
and to know the love of the Christ that passes our knowledge, that you may be filled with aft the fullness of God.
20 Τῷ δὲ δυναμένῳ ὑπὲρ πάντα, ποιῆσαι ὑπερεκπερισσοῦ ὧν αἰτούμεθα ἢ νοοῦμεν, κατὰ τὴν δύναμιν τὴν ἐνεργουμένην ἐν ἡμῖν,
Now to him that is able to do exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think according to his power which works in us,
