1 συ δε λαλει α πρεπει τη υγιαινουση διδασκαλια
You yourself however do speak [the things] that are consistent with sound doctrine.
2 πρεσβυτας νηφαλιους ειναι σεμνους σωφρονας υγιαινοντας τη πιστει τη αγαπη τη υπομονη
[The] aged [men] sober-minded are to be, dignified, self-controlled, sound in faith, in love, in endurance.
3 πρεσβυτιδας ωσαυτως εν καταστηματι ιεροπρεπεις μη διαβολους μη οινω πολλω δεδουλωμενας καλοδιδασκαλους
[the] aged [women] likewise in behavior reverent, not slanderers, (not *NK(o)*) to wine much enslaved, teachers of what is good,
4 ινα σωφρονιζωσιν τας νεας φιλανδρους ειναι φιλοτεκνους
so that (they may train *NK(o)*) the young [women] lovers of [their] husbands to be, loving [their] children,
5 σωφρονας αγνας οικουρους αγαθας υποτασσομενας τοις ιδιοις ανδρασιν ινα μη ο λογος του θεου βλασφημηται
self-controlled, pure (busy at home *N(k)O*) kind, being subject to [their] own husbands, so that not the word of God may be denigrated.
6 τους νεωτερους ωσαυτως παρακαλει σωφρονειν
The younger [men] likewise do exhort to be self-controlled,
7 περι παντα σεαυτον παρεχομενος τυπον καλων εργων εν τη διδασκαλια αδιαφθοριαν σεμνοτητα αφθαρσιαν
In all things yourself be holding forth [as] a pattern of good works, in the teaching (unspoilable *K*) incorruptable, dignity
8 λογον υγιη ακαταγνωστον ινα ο εξ εναντιας εντραπη μηδεν εχων περι υμων λεγειν φαυλον
speech sound, beyond reproach, so that he who is of the contrary may be ashamed nothing having to say concerning (us *N(K)O*) evil.
9 δουλους ιδιοις δεσποταις υποτασσεσθαι εν πασιν ευαρεστους ειναι μη αντιλεγοντας
Servants to [their] own masters are to be subject, in everything well-pleasing to be, not gainsaying,
10 μη νοσφιζομενους αλλα πιστιν πασαν ενδεικνυμενους αγαθην ινα την διδασκαλιαν του σωτηρος ημων θεου κοσμωσιν εν πασιν
not pilfering but all fidelity showing good, so that the doctrine (which [is] *no*) of the Savior (of us *NK(O)*) God they may adorn in all things.
11 επεφανη γαρ η χαρις του θεου η σωτηριος πασιν ανθρωποις
Has appeared for the grace of God (*k*) [bringing] salvation to all men
12 παιδευουσα ημας ινα αρνησαμενοι την ασεβειαν και τας κοσμικας επιθυμιας σωφρονως και δικαιως και ευσεβως ζησωμεν εν τω νυν αιωνι (aiōn g165)
instructing us that having denied ungodliness and worldly passions discreetly and righteously and piously we may live in the present age (aiōn g165)
13 προσδεχομενοι την μακαριαν ελπιδα και επιφανειαν της δοξης του μεγαλου θεου και σωτηρος ημων ιησου χριστου
awaiting the blessed hope and [the] appearing of the glory of the great God and Savior of us Jesus Christ
14 ος εδωκεν εαυτον υπερ ημων ινα λυτρωσηται ημας απο πασης ανομιας και καθαριση εαυτω λαον περιουσιον ζηλωτην καλων εργων
who gave Himself for us that He may redeem us from all lawlessness and may purify to Himself a people specially chosen, zealous of good works.
15 ταυτα λαλει και παρακαλει και ελεγχε μετα πασης επιταγης μηδεις σου περιφρονειτω
These things do speak and do exhort and do rebuke with all authority. No one you should despise.
