And the fifth angel sounded; and I saw a Star fall from the heaven to the earth; and there was given to him the key of the bottomless pit. (Abyssos )
(Abyssos )
And he opened the bottomless pit, and smoke ascended from the pit, as the smoke of a great furnace: and the sun and the air were darkened by the smoke of the pit. (Abyssos )
And out of the smoke there came locusts upon the earth; and power was given to them, as scorpions of the earth have power.
And it was said to them that they should not injure the grass of the earth, nor any green thing, nor any tree; but the men who had not the seal of God in their foreheads.
And it was not given to them to kill them, but to torment them five months: and their torment was like that of a scorpion when it stings a man.
And in these days men shall seek death, and shall not find it: and they shall desire to die, and death shall fly from them.
And the resemblance of the locusts was like horses prepared for war; and on their heads were, as it were, crowns of gold; and and their faces were like the faces of men:
and they had tresses, like the tresses of women; and their teeth were like the teeth of lions.
And they had breastplates like breastplates of iron; and the noise of their wings was like the noise of chariots, and many horses rushing to war.
And they had tails like scorpions, and their stings were in their tails; and their power was to hurt men five months.
(Abyssos )
For they had a king over them, the angel of the bottomless pit, whose name, in the Hebrew language, is Abaddon; and in the Greek, he has the name Apollyon. (Abyssos )
One woe is gone, and behold other two woes, besides it, yet coming.
And the sixth angel sounded; and I heard a voice from the four horns of the golden altar which was before God,
saying to the sixth angel, who had the trumpet, Loose the four angels who are bound by the great river Euphrates.
And the four angels were loosed, who were prepared for an hour, and a day, and a month, and a year, to kill a third part of men.
And the number of the horsemen was two myriads of myriads: I heard the number of them.
And I saw the horses, and those who sat upon them, thus in their appearance; having breastplates of fire, and hyacinth, and brimstone: and the heads of the horses were like the heads of lions, and out of their mouths went fire, and smoke, and brimstone.
With these three--by the fire, by the smoke, and by the brimstone--that went out of their mouths, they slew a third part of men.
19 (ἡ *N(k)O*) γὰρ (ἐξουσία τῶν *N(k)O*) (ἵππων *NO*) ἐν τῷ στόματι αὐτῶν (ἐστιν *N(k)O*) καὶ ἐν ταῖς οὐραῖς αὐτῶν.
And their powers are in their mouths, and in their tails; and their tails are like serpents, having heads, and with them they injure.
Yet the remainder of men, who died not by these plagues, did not reform from the works of their hands, that they might not worship demons, and idols of gold, and silver, and brass, and stone, and wood; which can neither see, nor hear, nor walk.
And they reformed not from their murders, and their magical incantations; nor from their fornication, nor their thefts.
