< Κατα Μαρκον 7 >
1 Καὶ συνάγονται πρὸς αὐτὸν οἱ Φαρισαῖοι καί τινες τῶν γραμματέων ἐλθόντες ἀπὸ Ἱεροσολύμων.
And there come together to him the Pharisees, and some of the scribes, who came from Jerusalem;
2 καὶ ἰδόντες τινὰς τῶν μαθητῶν αὐτοῦ (ὅτι *no*) κοιναῖς χερσίν, τοῦτ᾽ ἔστιν ἀνίπτοις, (ἐσθίουσιν *N(k)O*) (τοὺς *no*) ἄρτους (ἐμέμψαντο· *K*)
and seeing some of his disciples eating bread with defiled, that is, unwashed hands,
3 οἱ γὰρ Φαρισαῖοι καὶ πάντες οἱ Ἰουδαῖοι ἐὰν μὴ πυγμῇ νίψωνται τὰς χεῖρας, οὐκ ἐσθίουσιν κρατοῦντες τὴν παράδοσιν τῶν πρεσβυτέρων·
(for the Pharisees, and all the Jews, unless they wash their hands often, do not eat, holding fast the tradition of the elders;
4 καὶ ἀπ᾽ ἀγορᾶς (δὲ *o*) (ὅταν ἔλθωσιν *ko*) ἐὰν μὴ (βαπτίσωνται, *NK(o)*) οὐκ ἐσθίουσιν· καὶ ἄλλα πολλά ἐστιν ἃ παρέλαβον κρατεῖν, βαπτισμοὺς ποτηρίων καὶ ξεστῶν καὶ χαλκίων καὶ κλινῶν.
and on coming from the marketplace, unless they bathe, they do not eat; and there are many other things which they have received to hold, the dipping of cups, and pitchers, and brazen vessels; )
5 (Καὶ *N(k)O*) ἐπερωτῶσιν αὐτὸν οἱ Φαρισαῖοι καὶ οἱ γραμματεῖς· διὰ τί οὐ περιπατοῦσιν οἱ μαθηταί σου κατὰ τὴν παράδοσιν τῶν πρεσβυτέρων, ἀλλὰ (κοιναῖς *N(K)O*) χερσὶν ἐσθίουσιν τὸν ἄρτον;
then the Pharisees and scribes ask him, Why do not thy disciples walk according to the tradition of the elders, but eat bread with defiled hands?
6 Ὁ δὲ (ἀποκριθεὶς *k*) εἶπεν αὐτοῖς (ὅτι· *ko*) καλῶς ἐπροφήτευσεν Ἠσαΐας περὶ ὑμῶν τῶν ὑποκριτῶν, ὡς γέγραπται (ὅτι *no*) οὗτος ὁ λαὸς τοῖς χείλεσίν με τιμᾷ, ἡ δὲ καρδία αὐτῶν πόρρω ἀπέχει ἀπ᾽ ἐμοῦ.
And he said to them, Well did Isaiah prophesy of you hypocrites, as it is written, “This people honoreth me with their lips, but their heart is far from me.
7 μάτην δὲ σέβονταί με διδάσκοντες διδασκαλίας, ἐντάλματα ἀνθρώπων.
But in vain do they worship me, teaching as doctrines the commandments of men.”
8 Ἀφέντες (γὰρ *k*) τὴν ἐντολὴν τοῦ θεοῦ κρατεῖτε τὴν παράδοσιν τῶν ἀνθρώπων (βαπτισμοὺς ξεστῶν καὶ ποτηρίων καὶ ἄλλα παρόμοια τοιαῦτα πολλὰ ποιεῖτε. *KO*)
Laying aside, the commandment of God, ye hold fast the tradition of men.
9 καὶ ἔλεγεν αὐτοῖς· καλῶς ἀθετεῖτε τὴν ἐντολὴν τοῦ θεοῦ ἵνα τὴν παράδοσιν ὑμῶν (στήσητε. *N(k)O*)
And he said to them, Full well do ye reject the commandment of God, that ye may keep your tradition!
10 Μωϋσῆς γὰρ εἶπεν· τίμα τὸν πατέρα σου καὶ τὴν μητέρα σου, καὶ ὁ κακολογῶν πατέρα ἢ μητέρα θανάτῳ τελευτάτω.
For Moses said, “Honor thy father and thy mother;” and, “He that curseth father or mother, let him surely die.”
11 ὑμεῖς δὲ λέγετε· ἐὰν εἴπῃ ἄνθρωπος τῷ πατρὶ ἢ τῇ μητρί· κορβᾶν, ὅ ἐστιν δῶρον, ὃ ἐὰν ἐξ ἐμοῦ ὠφεληθῇς,
But ye say, If a man say to his father or mother, Whatever thou mightst receive in aid from me is Corban, that is, a gift to God, [[he is not bound by the command. Thus]]
12 (καὶ *ko*) οὐκέτι οὐκέτι ἀφίετε αὐτὸν οὐδὲν ποιῆσαι τῷ πατρὶ (αὐτοῦ *k*) ἢ τῇ μητρί (αὐτοῦ, *k*)
ye suffer him no longer to do anything for his father or his mother;
13 ἀκυροῦντες τὸν λόγον τοῦ θεοῦ τῇ παραδόσει ὑμῶν ᾗ παρεδώκατε· καὶ παρόμοια τοιαῦτα πολλὰ ποιεῖτε.
making void the word of God by your tradition, which ye have handed down; and many such things ye do.
14 Καὶ προσκαλεσάμενος (πάλιν *N(K)O*) τὸν ὄχλον ἔλεγεν αὐτοῖς· (ἀκούσατέ *N(k)O*) μου πάντες καὶ (σύνετε. *N(k)O*)
And again calling the multitude to him, he said to them, Hearken to me all of you, and understand.
15 οὐδέν ἐστιν ἔξωθεν τοῦ ἀνθρώπου εἰσπορευόμενον εἰς αὐτὸν ὃ δύναται κοινῶσαι αὐτόν, ἀλλὰ τὰ (ἐκ τοῦ ἀνθρώπου *NO*) ἐκπορευόμενά (ἀπ᾽ αὐτοῦ *k*) (ἐκεῖνά *ko*) ἐστιν τὰ κοινοῦντα τὸν ἄνθρωπον.
Nothing that entereth into a man from without can defile him; but the things that come out of him are what defile a man.
16 (Εἴ τις ἔχει ὦτα ἀκούειν ἀκουέτω. *KO*)
17 καὶ ὅτε εἰσῆλθεν εἰς οἶκον ἀπὸ τοῦ ὄχλου, ἐπηρώτων αὐτὸν οἱ μαθηταὶ αὐτοῦ (περὶ *k*) (τὴν παραβολήν. *N(k)O*)
And when he had gone into the house from the crowd, his disciples asked him concerning the parable.
18 καὶ λέγει αὐτοῖς· οὕτως καὶ ὑμεῖς ἀσύνετοί ἐστε; οὐ νοεῖτε ὅτι πᾶν τὸ ἔξωθεν εἰσπορευόμενον εἰς τὸν ἄνθρωπον οὐ δύναται αὐτὸν κοινῶσαι;
And he saith to them, Are ye too so without discernment? Do ye not understand that whatever thing from without entereth into a man, cannot defile him?
19 ὅτι οὐκ εἰσπορεύεται αὐτοῦ εἰς τὴν καρδίαν ἀλλ᾽ εἰς τὴν κοιλίαν καὶ εἰς τὸν ἀφεδρῶνα ἐκπορεύεται (καθαρίζων *N(k)O*) πάντα τὰ βρώματα.
because it entereth not into his heart, but into the stomach; and goeth out into the drain, which cleanseth all kinds of food.
20 ἔλεγεν δὲ ὅτι τὸ ἐκ τοῦ ἀνθρώπου ἐκπορευόμενον, ἐκεῖνο κοινοῖ τὸν ἄνθρωπον.
And he said, That which cometh out of a man, that defileth a man.
21 ἔσωθεν γὰρ ἐκ τῆς καρδίας τῶν ἀνθρώπων οἱ διαλογισμοὶ οἱ κακοὶ ἐκπορεύονται πορνεῖαι, κλοπαί, φόνοι,
For from within, out of the heart of men, come forth evil thoughts, fornications,
22 μοιχεῖαι, πλεονεξίαι, πονηρίαι, δόλος, ἀσέλγεια, ὀφθαλμὸς πονηρός, βλασφημία, ὑπερηφανία, ἀφροσύνη·
thefts, murders, adulteries, covetousness, iniquities, deceit, wantonness, an evil eye, blasphemy, pride, foolishness.
23 πάντα ταῦτα τὰ πονηρὰ ἔσωθεν ἐκπορεύεται καὶ κοινοῖ τὸν ἄνθρωπον.
All these evil things come from within, and defile a man.
24 (Καὶ *ko*) Ἐκεῖθεν (δὲ *no*) ἀναστὰς ἀπῆλθεν εἰς τὰ (ὅρια *N(K)O*) Τύρου (καὶ Σιδῶνος. *KO*) καὶ εἰσελθὼν εἰς (τὴν *k*) οἰκίαν οὐδένα ἤθελεν γνῶναι καὶ οὐκ ἠδυνήθη λαθεῖν.
And rising up, he departed thence into the borders of Tyre; and entering into a house, he desired that no one should know it; but he could not escape notice.
25 (ἀλλ᾽ εὐθὺς *NO*) ἀκούσασα (γὰρ *k*) γυνὴ περὶ αὐτοῦ ἧς εἶχεν τὸ θυγάτριον αὐτῆς πνεῦμα ἀκάθαρτον, ἐλθοῦσα προσέπεσεν πρὸς τοὺς πόδας αὐτοῦ·
But a woman, whose young daughter had an unclean spirit, immediately hearing of him, came in, and fell at his feet.
26 ἡ δὲ γυνὴ ἦν Ἑλληνὶς Συροφοινίκισσα τῷ γένει, καὶ ἠρώτα αὐτὸν ἵνα τὸ δαιμόνιον (ἐκβάλῃ *N(k)O*) ἐκ τῆς θυγατρὸς αὐτῆς.
The woman was a Greek, a Syrophoenician by nation; and she besought him that he would cast out the demon from her daughter.
27 (ὁ *k*) (καὶ *N(k)O*) (Ἰησοῦς *k*) (ἔλεγεν *N(k)O*) αὐτῇ· ἄφες πρῶτον χορτασθῆναι τὰ τέκνα· οὐ γάρ ἐστιν καλὸν λαβεῖν τὸν ἄρτον τῶν τέκνων καὶ τοῖς κυναρίοις βαλεῖν.
And he said to her, Let the children be filled first; for it is not well to take the children's bread and throw it to the little dogs.
28 ἡ δὲ ἀπεκρίθη καὶ λέγει αὐτῷ· (ναὶ *KO*) κύριε, καὶ (γὰρ *k*) τὰ κυνάρια ὑποκάτω τῆς τραπέζης (ἐσθίουσιν *N(k)O*) ἀπὸ τῶν ψιχίων τῶν παιδίων.
But she answered, and saith to him, Yea, Lord; even the little dogs under the table eat of the children's crumbs.
29 Καὶ εἶπεν αὐτῇ· διὰ τοῦτον τὸν λόγον ὕπαγε, ἐξελήλυθεν ἐκ τῆς θυγατρός σου τὸ δαιμόνιον.
And he said to her, For this saying go thy way; the demon hath gone out of thy daughter.
30 καὶ ἀπελθοῦσα εἰς τὸν οἶκον αὐτῆς εὗρεν τὸ (παιδίον *N(K)O*) (βεβλημένον *N(k)O*) ἐπὶ (τὴν κλίνην *N(k)O*) καὶ τὸ δαιμόνιον ἐξεληλυθός.
And going away to her house, she found the child laid upon the bed, and the demon gone out.
31 Καὶ πάλιν ἐξελθὼν ἐκ τῶν ὁρίων Τύρου ἦλθεν (διὰ *N(K)O*) Σιδῶνος (εἰς *N(k)O*) τὴν θάλασσαν τῆς Γαλιλαίας ἀνὰ μέσον τῶν ὁρίων Δεκαπόλεως.
And again leaving the borders of Tyre, he came through Sidon to the lake of Galilee, through the midst of the borders of Decapolis.
32 καὶ φέρουσιν αὐτῷ κωφὸν (καὶ *no*) μογιλάλον καὶ παρακαλοῦσιν αὐτὸν ἵνα ἐπιθῇ αὐτῷ τὴν χεῖρα.
And they bring to him one that was deaf, and had an impediment in his speech, and beseech him to lay his hand upon him.
33 καὶ ἀπολαβόμενος αὐτὸν ἀπὸ τοῦ ὄχλου κατ᾽ ἰδίαν ἔβαλεν τοὺς δακτύλους αὐτοῦ εἰς τὰ ὦτα αὐτοῦ, καὶ πτύσας ἥψατο τῆς γλώσσης αὐτοῦ,
And taking him aside from the multitude, he put his fingers into his ears, and having spit, touched his tongue;
34 καὶ ἀναβλέψας εἰς τὸν οὐρανὸν ἐστέναξεν καὶ λέγει αὐτῷ· εφφαθα, ὅ ἐστιν διανοίχθητι.
and looking up to heaven, he sighed, and saith to him, Ephphatha, that is, Be opened.
35 καὶ (εὐθέως *NK*) (ἠνοίγησαν *N(k)O*) αὐτοῦ αἱ ἀκοαί, καὶ ἐλύθη ὁ δεσμὸς τῆς γλώσσης αὐτοῦ, καὶ ἐλάλει ὀρθῶς.
And his ears were opened; and the string of his tongue was immediately loosed, and he spoke plain.
36 καὶ διεστείλατο αὐτοῖς ἵνα μηδενὶ (λέγωσιν· *N(k)O*) ὅσον δὲ (αὐτὸς *k*) αὐτοῖς διεστέλλετο, (αὐτοὶ *no*) μᾶλλον περισσότερον ἐκήρυσσον.
And he charged them to tell no one; but the more he charged them, the more did they publish it.
37 καὶ ὑπερπερισσῶς ὑπερπερισσῶς ἐξεπλήσσοντο λέγοντες· καλῶς πάντα πεποίηκεν καὶ τοὺς κωφοὺς ποιεῖ ἀκούειν καὶ (τοὺς *NK*) ἀλάλους λαλεῖν.
And they were beyond measure astonished, saying, He hath done all things well; he maketh both the deaf to hear, and the dumb to speak.
