< Κατα Μαρκον 2 >
1 Καὶ (εἰσελθὼν *N(k)O*) πάλιν εἰς Καφαρναοὺμ δι᾽ ἡμερῶν (καὶ *k*) ἠκούσθη ὅτι (ἐν οἴκῳ *N(k)O*) ἐστίν.
And he entered again into Capernaum after [several] days, and it was reported that he was at [the] house;
2 καὶ (εὐθέως *KO*) συνήχθησαν πολλοὶ ὥστε μηκέτι χωρεῖν μηδὲ τὰ πρὸς τὴν θύραν, καὶ ἐλάλει αὐτοῖς τὸν λόγον.
and straightway many were gathered together, so that there was no longer any room, not even at the door; and he spoke the word to them.
3 Καὶ ἔρχονται φέροντες πρὸς αὐτὸν παραλυτικὸν αἰρόμενον ὑπὸ τεσσάρων.
And there come to him [men] bringing a paralytic, borne by four;
4 καὶ μὴ δυνάμενοι (προσενέγκαι *N(k)O*) αὐτῷ διὰ τὸν ὄχλον ἀπεστέγασαν τὴν στέγην ὅπου ἦν καὶ ἐξορύξαντες χαλῶσιν τὸν κράβαττον (ὅπου *N(k)O*) ὁ παραλυτικὸς κατέκειτο.
and, not being able to get near to him on account of the crowd, they uncovered the roof where he was, and having dug [it] up they let down the couch on which the paralytic lay.
5 (καὶ *no*) ἰδὼν (δὲ *ko*) ὁ Ἰησοῦς τὴν πίστιν αὐτῶν λέγει τῷ παραλυτικῷ· τέκνον, (ἀφίενταί σου *N(k)O*) αἱ ἁμαρτίαι (σου. *k*)
But Jesus, seeing their faith, says to the paralytic, Child, thy sins are forgiven [thee].
6 ἦσαν δέ τινες τῶν γραμματέων ἐκεῖ καθήμενοι καὶ διαλογιζόμενοι ἐν ταῖς καρδίαις αὐτῶν·
But certain of the scribes were there sitting, and reasoning in their hearts,
7 τί οὗτος οὕτως λαλεῖ; (βλασφημεῖ· *N(k)O*) τίς δύναται ἀφιέναι ἁμαρτίας εἰ μὴ εἷς ὁ θεός;
Why does this [man] thus speak? he blasphemes. Who is able to forgive sins except God alone?
8 καὶ εὐθὺς ἐπιγνοὺς ὁ Ἰησοῦς τῷ πνεύματι αὐτοῦ ὅτι οὕτως (αὐτοὶ *o*) διαλογίζονται ἐν ἑαυτοῖς (λέγει *N(k)O*) αὐτοῖς· τί ταῦτα διαλογίζεσθε ἐν ταῖς καρδίαις ὑμῶν;
And straightway Jesus, knowing in his spirit that they are reasoning thus within themselves, said to them, Why reason ye these things in your hearts?
9 τί ἐστιν εὐκοπώτερον, εἰπεῖν τῷ παραλυτικῷ· (ἀφίενταί σου *N(k)O*) αἱ ἁμαρτίαι, ἢ εἰπεῖν· (ἔγειρε *N(k)(o)*) καὶ ἆρον τὸν κράβαττόν σου καὶ περιπάτει;
Which is easier, to say to the paralytic, [Thy] sins are forgiven [thee]; or to say, Arise, and take up thy couch and walk?
10 Ἵνα δὲ εἰδῆτε ὅτι ἐξουσίαν ἔχει ὁ υἱὸς τοῦ ἀνθρώπου ἀφιέναι ἁμαρτίας ἐπὶ τῆς γῆς, λέγει τῷ παραλυτικῷ·
But that ye may know that the Son of man has power on earth to forgive sins, he says to the paralytic,
11 σοὶ λέγω· (ἔγειρε, *N(k)O*) (καὶ *k*) ἆρον τὸν κράβαττόν σου καὶ ὕπαγε εἰς τὸν οἶκόν σου.
To thee I say, Arise, take up thy couch and go to thine house.
12 Καὶ ἠγέρθη καὶ εὐθὺς ἄρας τὸν κράβαττον ἐξῆλθεν (ἔμπροσθεν *N(k)O*) πάντων ὥστε ἐξίστασθαι πάντας καὶ δοξάζειν τὸν θεὸν λέγοντας ὅτι οὕτως οὐδέποτε εἴδομεν.
And he rose up straightway, and, having taken up his couch, went out before [them] all, so that all were amazed, and glorified God, saying, We never saw it thus.
13 Καὶ ἐξῆλθεν πάλιν παρὰ τὴν θάλασσαν, καὶ πᾶς ὁ ὄχλος ἤρχετο πρὸς αὐτόν, καὶ ἐδίδασκεν αὐτούς.
And he went out again by the sea, and all the crowd came to him, and he taught them.
14 Καὶ παράγων εἶδεν Λευὶν τὸν τοῦ Ἁλφαίου καθήμενον ἐπὶ τὸ τελώνιον καὶ λέγει αὐτῷ· ἀκολούθει μοι. καὶ ἀναστὰς ἠκολούθησεν αὐτῷ.
And passing by, he saw Levi the [son] of Alphaeus sitting at the tax-office, and says to him, Follow me. And he rose up and followed him.
15 Καὶ (γίνεται *N(k)(o)*) (ἐν τῷ *ko*) κατακεῖσθαι αὐτὸν ἐν τῇ οἰκίᾳ αὐτοῦ, καὶ πολλοὶ τελῶναι καὶ ἁμαρτωλοὶ συνανέκειντο τῷ Ἰησοῦ καὶ τοῖς μαθηταῖς αὐτοῦ· ἦσαν γὰρ πολλοί, καὶ (ἠκολούθουν *N(k)O*) αὐτῷ.
And it came to pass as he lay at table in his house, that many tax-gatherers and sinners lay at table with Jesus and his disciples; for they were many, and they followed him.
16 καὶ οἱ γραμματεῖς (καὶ *k*) (τῶν Φαρισαίων *N(k)O*) (καὶ *o*) ἰδόντες (ὅτι *N(k)O*) (ἐσθίει *N(k)(o)*) μετὰ τῶν ἁμαρτωλῶν καὶ τελωνῶν ἔλεγον τοῖς μαθηταῖς αὐτοῦ· (τί *k*) ὅτι μετὰ τῶν τελωνῶν καὶ ἁμαρτωλῶν ἐσθίει (καὶ πίνει; *KO*)
And the scribes and the Pharisees, seeing him eating with sinners and tax-gatherers, said to his disciples, Why [is it] that he eats and drinks with tax-gatherers and sinners?
17 Καὶ ἀκούσας ὁ Ἰησοῦς λέγει αὐτοῖς· (ὅτι *no*) οὐ χρείαν ἔχουσιν οἱ ἰσχύοντες ἰατροῦ ἀλλ᾽ οἱ κακῶς ἔχοντες· οὐκ ἦλθον καλέσαι δικαίους ἀλλ᾽ ἁμαρτωλούς (εἰς μετάνοιαν. *K*)
And Jesus having heard [it] says to them, They that are strong have not need of a physician, but those who are ill. I have not come to call righteous [men], but sinners.
18 Καὶ ἦσαν οἱ μαθηταὶ Ἰωάννου καὶ οἱ (τῶν *K*) (Φαρισαῖοι *N(k)O*) νηστεύοντες καὶ ἔρχονται καὶ λέγουσιν αὐτῷ· διὰ τί οἱ μαθηταὶ Ἰωάννου καὶ οἱ (μαθηταὶ *no*) τῶν Φαρισαίων νηστεύουσιν, οἱ δὲ σοὶ μαθηταὶ οὐ νηστεύουσιν;
And the disciples of John and the Pharisees were fasting; and they come and say to him, Why do the disciples of John and [the disciples] of the Pharisees fast, but thy disciples fast not?
19 Καὶ εἶπεν αὐτοῖς ὁ Ἰησοῦς· μὴ δύνανται οἱ υἱοὶ τοῦ νυμφῶνος ἐν ᾧ ὁ νυμφίος μετ᾽ αὐτῶν ἐστιν νηστεύειν; ὅσον χρόνον ἔχουσιν τὸν νυμφίον μετ᾽ (αὐτῶν *N(k)O*) οὐ δύνανται νηστεύειν.
And Jesus said to them, Can the sons of the bride-chamber fast while the bridegroom is with them? As long as they have the bridegroom with them they cannot fast.
20 ἐλεύσονται δὲ ἡμέραι ὅταν ἀπαρθῇ ἀπ᾽ αὐτῶν ὁ νυμφίος, καὶ τότε νηστεύσουσιν ἐν (ἐκείνῃ *N(K)O*) (τῇ *N(k)O*) (ἡμέρᾳ. *N(K)O*)
But days will come when the bridegroom shall have been taken away from them, and then shall they fast in that day.
21 (Καὶ *k*) οὐδεὶς ἐπίβλημα ῥάκους ἀγνάφου ἐπιράπτει ἐπὶ (ἱμάτιον παλαιόν· *N(k)O*) εἰ δὲ μή, αἴρει τὸ πλήρωμα (ἀπ᾽ *no*) αὐτοῦ τὸ καινὸν τοῦ παλαιοῦ, καὶ χεῖρον σχίσμα γίνεται.
No one sews a patch of new cloth on an old garment: otherwise its new filling-up takes from the old [stuff], and there is a worse rent.
22 Καὶ οὐδεὶς βάλλει οἶνον νέον εἰς ἀσκοὺς παλαιούς· εἰ δὲ μή, (ῥήξει *N(k)O*) ὁ οἶνος (ὁ νέος *k*) τοὺς ἀσκούς, καὶ ὁ οἶνος (ἀπόλλυται *N(K)O*) καὶ οἱ ἀσκοί (ἀπολοῦνται· *ko*) ἀλλ᾽ οἶνον νέον εἰς ἀσκοὺς καινούς (βλητέον. *ko*)
And no one puts new wine into old skins; otherwise the wine bursts the skins, and the wine is poured out, and the skins will be destroyed; but new wine is to be put into new skins.
23 Καὶ ἐγένετο αὐτὸν ἐν τοῖς σάββασιν (παραπορεύεσθαι *NK(o)*) διὰ τῶν σπορίμων, καὶ οἱ μαθηταὶ αὐτοῦ ἤρξαντο ὁδὸν ποιεῖν τίλλοντες τοὺς στάχυας.
And it came to pass that he went on the sabbath through the cornfields; and his disciples began to walk on, plucking the ears.
24 καὶ οἱ Φαρισαῖοι ἔλεγον αὐτῷ· ἴδε τί ποιοῦσιν (ἐν *k*) τοῖς σάββασιν ὃ οὐκ ἔξεστιν;
And the Pharisees said to him, Behold, why do they on the sabbath what is not lawful?
25 Καὶ (αὐτὸς *k*) (λέγει *N(k)O*) αὐτοῖς· οὐδέποτε ἀνέγνωτε τί ἐποίησεν Δαυὶδ ὅτε χρείαν ἔσχεν καὶ ἐπείνασεν αὐτὸς καὶ οἱ μετ᾽ αὐτοῦ;
And he said to them, Have ye never read what David did when he had need and hungered, he and those with him,
26 πῶς εἰσῆλθεν εἰς τὸν οἶκον τοῦ θεοῦ ἐπὶ Ἀβιαθὰρ (τοῦ *k*) ἀρχιερέως καὶ τοὺς ἄρτους τῆς προθέσεως ἔφαγεν οὓς οὐκ ἔξεστιν φαγεῖν εἰ μὴ (τοὺς ἱερεῖς, *N(k)O*) καὶ ἔδωκεν καὶ τοῖς σὺν αὐτῷ οὖσιν;
how he entered into the house of God, in [the section of] Abiathar [the] high priest, and ate the shew-bread, which it is not lawful unless for the priests to eat, and gave even to those that were with him?
27 καὶ ἔλεγεν αὐτοῖς· τὸ σάββατον διὰ τὸν ἄνθρωπον ἐγένετο, (καὶ *no*) οὐχ ὁ ἄνθρωπος διὰ τὸ σάββατον.
And he said to them, The sabbath was made on account of man, not man on account of the sabbath;
28 ὥστε κύριός ἐστιν ὁ υἱὸς τοῦ ἀνθρώπου καὶ τοῦ σαββάτου.
so that the Son of man is lord of the sabbath also.
