Προς Κορινθιους Α΄ 16
1 Περὶ δὲ τῆς λογείας τῆς εἰς τοὺς ἁγίους, ὥσπερ διέταξα ταῖς ἐκκλησίαις τῆς Γαλατίας, οὕτως καὶ ὑμεῖς ποιήσατε.
Now concerning the collection for the saints, you must do what I have directed the churches of Galatia to do.
2 κατὰ μίαν ⸀σαββάτουἕκαστος ὑμῶν παρʼ ἑαυτῷ τιθέτω θησαυρίζων ὅ τι ⸀ἐὰνεὐοδῶται, ἵνα μὴ ὅταν ἔλθω τότε λογεῖαι γίνωνται.
On the first day of every week, each one of you should set something aside, storing up whatever he may be prospered with, so that collections will not need to be taken when I come.
3 ὅταν δὲ παραγένωμαι, οὓς ⸀ἐὰνδοκιμάσητε διʼ ἐπιστολῶν, τούτους πέμψω ἀπενεγκεῖν τὴν χάριν ὑμῶν εἰς Ἰερουσαλήμ·
When I arrive, I will send those whom you approve by letters to carry your gift to Jerusalem.
4 ἐὰν δὲ ⸂ἄξιον ᾖ τοῦ κἀμὲ πορεύεσθαι, σὺν ἐμοὶ πορεύσονται.
If it is advisable for me to go as well, they can travel with me.
5 Ἐλεύσομαι δὲ πρὸς ὑμᾶς ὅταν Μακεδονίαν διέλθω, Μακεδονίαν γὰρ διέρχομαι,
After I pass through Macedonia, I will come to you (for I will be passing through Macedonia),
6 πρὸς ὑμᾶς δὲ τυχὸν ⸀παραμενῶἢ ⸀καὶπαραχειμάσω, ἵνα ὑμεῖς με προπέμψητε οὗ ἐὰν πορεύωμαι.
and perhaps I will stay with you or even spend the winter, so that you may send me on my way wherever I may go.
7 οὐ θέλω γὰρὑμᾶς ἄρτι ἐν παρόδῳ ἰδεῖν, ἐλπίζω ⸀γὰρ χρόνον τινὰ ἐπιμεῖναι πρὸς ὑμᾶς, ἐὰν ὁ κύριος ⸀ἐπιτρέψῃ
But I do not wish to see you now only in passing; rather, I hope to stay with you for some time, if the Lord permits.
8 ⸀ἐπιμενῶδὲ ἐν Ἐφέσῳ ἕως τῆς πεντηκοστῆς·
But I will stay in Ephesus until Pentecost,
9 θύρα γάρ μοι ἀνέῳγεν μεγάλη καὶ ἐνεργής, καὶ ἀντικείμενοι πολλοί.
for a great and effective door has been opened to me, and there are many adversaries.
10 Ἐὰν δὲ ἔλθῃ Τιμόθεος, βλέπετε ἵνα ἀφόβως γένηται πρὸς ὑμᾶς, τὸ γὰρ ἔργον κυρίου ἐργάζεται ὡς ⸀κἀγώ
If Timothy comes, make sure he has nothing to fear while he is with you, for he is doing the work of the Lord, just as I am.
11 μή τις οὖν αὐτὸν ἐξουθενήσῃ. προπέμψατε δὲ αὐτὸν ἐν εἰρήνῃ, ἵνα ἔλθῃ πρός ⸀με ἐκδέχομαι γὰρ αὐτὸν μετὰ τῶν ἀδελφῶν.
Therefore let no one despise him. But send him on his way in peace so that he may come to me, for I am expecting him with the brothers.
12 Περὶ δὲ Ἀπολλῶ τοῦ ἀδελφοῦ, πολλὰ παρεκάλεσα αὐτὸν ἵνα ἔλθῃ πρὸς ὑμᾶς μετὰ τῶν ἀδελφῶν· καὶ πάντως οὐκ ἦν θέλημα ἵνα νῦν ἔλθῃ, ἐλεύσεται δὲ ὅταν εὐκαιρήσῃ.
Now concerning Apollos our brother, I strongly urged him to come to you with the other brothers, but it was not at all his will to come now. He will come when he has an opportunity.
13 Γρηγορεῖτε, στήκετε ἐν τῇ πίστει, ἀνδρίζεσθε, κραταιοῦσθε.
Be watchful, stand firm in the faith, be men of courage, and be strong.
14 πάντα ὑμῶν ἐν ἀγάπῃ γινέσθω.
Everything you do should be done in love.
15 Παρακαλῶ δὲ ὑμᾶς, ἀδελφοί· οἴδατε τὴν οἰκίαν Στεφανᾶ, ὅτι ἐστὶν ἀπαρχὴ τῆς Ἀχαΐας καὶ εἰς διακονίαν τοῖς ἁγίοις ἔταξαν ἑαυτούς·
Brothers, you know that the household of Stephanas is the firstfruits of Achaia, and that they have devoted themselves to serving the saints. I urge you
16 ἵνα καὶ ὑμεῖς ὑποτάσσησθε τοῖς τοιούτοις καὶ παντὶ τῷ συνεργοῦντι καὶ κοπιῶντι.
to submit to such people and to everyone who joins together in the work and labors with them.
17 χαίρω δὲ ἐπὶ τῇ παρουσίᾳ Στεφανᾶ καὶ Φορτουνάτου καὶ Ἀχαϊκοῦ, ὅτι τὸ ⸀ὑμέτερονὑστέρημα οὗτοι ἀνεπλήρωσαν,
I rejoice over the coming of Stephanas, Fortunatus, and Achaicus, because these men have supplied what was lacking on your part.
18 ἀνέπαυσαν γὰρ τὸ ἐμὸν πνεῦμα καὶ τὸ ὑμῶν. ἐπιγινώσκετε οὖν τοὺς τοιούτους.
For they have refreshed my spirit as well as yours. So give recognition to such men.
19 Ἀσπάζονται ὑμᾶς αἱ ἐκκλησίαι τῆς Ἀσίας. ⸀ἀσπάζεταιὑμᾶς ἐν κυρίῳ πολλὰ Ἀκύλας καὶ ⸀Πρίσκασὺν τῇ κατʼ οἶκον αὐτῶν ἐκκλησίᾳ.
The churches of Asia greet you. Aquila and Priscilla greet you earnestly in the Lord, and so does the church that meets in their house.
20 ἀσπάζονται ὑμᾶς οἱ ἀδελφοὶ πάντες. ἀσπάσασθε ἀλλήλους ἐν φιλήματι ἁγίῳ.
All the brothers greet you. Greet one another with a holy kiss.
21 Ὁ ἀσπασμὸς τῇ ἐμῇ χειρὶ Παύλου.
I, Paul, write this greeting with my own hand.
22 εἴ τις οὐ φιλεῖ τὸν ⸀κύριον ἤτω ἀνάθεμα. ⸂Μαράνα θά.
If anyone does not love the Lord Jesus Christ, let him be accursed. Our Lord has come!
23 ἡ χάρις τοῦ κυρίου ⸀Ἰησοῦμεθʼ ὑμῶν.
The grace of the Lord Jesus Christ be with you.
24 ἡ ἀγάπη μου μετὰ πάντων ὑμῶν ἐν Χριστῷ ⸀Ἰησοῦ
My love be with you all in Christ Jesus. Amen.
