Αποκαλυψις Ιωαννου 5

1 Και είδον εν τη δεξιά του καθημένου επί του θρόνου βιβλίον γεγραμμένον έσωθεν και όπισθεν, κατεσφραγισμένον με σφραγίδας επτά.

And I saw in the right hand of him that sat on the throne a book written within and on the back, close sealed with seven seals.

2 Και είδον άγγελον ισχυρόν κηρύττοντα μετά φωνής μεγάλης· Τις είναι άξιος να ανοίξη το βιβλίον και να λύση τας σφραγίδας αυτού;

And I saw a strong angel proclaiming with a great voice, Who is worthy to open the book, and to loose the seals thereof?

3 Και ουδείς ηδύνατο εν τω ουρανώ, ουδέ επί της γης ουδέ υποκάτω της γης να ανοίξη το βιβλίον ουδέ να βλέπη αυτό.

And no one in the heaven, or on the earth, or under the earth, was able to open the book, or to look thereon.

4 Και εγώ έκλαιον πολλά, ότι ουδείς ευρέθη άξιος να ανοίξη και να αναγνώση το βιβλίον ούτε να βλέπη αυτό.

And I wept much, because no one was found worthy to open the book, or to look thereon:

5 Και εις εκ των πρεσβυτέρων μοι λέγει· Μη κλαίε· ιδού, υπερίσχυσεν ο λέων, όστις είναι εκ της φυλής Ιούδα, η ρίζα του Δαβίδ, να ανοίξη το βιβλίον και να λύση τας επτά σφραγίδας αυτού.

and one of the elders saith unto me, Weep not; behold, the Lion that is of the tribe of Judah, the Root of David, hath overcome to open the book and the seven seals thereof.

6 Και είδον και ιδού εν μέσω του θρόνου και των τεσσάρων ζώων και εν μέσω των πρεσβυτέρων Αρνίον ιστάμενον ως εσφαγμένον, έχον κέρατα επτά και οφθαλμούς επτά, οίτινες είναι τα επτά πνεύματα του Θεού τα απεσταλμένα εις πάσαν την γην.

And I saw in the midst of the throne and of the four living creatures, and in the midst of the elders, a Lamb standing, as though it had been slain, having seven horns, and seven eyes, which are the seven Spirits of God, sent forth into all the earth.

7 Και ήλθε και έλαβε το βιβλίον εκ της δεξιάς του καθημένου επί του θρόνου.

And he came, and he taketh [it] out of the right hand of him that sat on the throne.

8 Και ότε έλαβε το βιβλίον, τα τέσσαρα ζώα και οι εικοσιτέσσαρες πρεσβύτεροι έπεσον ενώπιον του Αρνίου, έχοντες έκαστος κιθάρας και φιάλας χρυσάς πλήρεις θυμιαμάτων, αίτινες είναι αι προσευχαί των αγίων·

And when he had taken the book, the four living creatures and the four and twenty elders fell down before the Lamb, having each one a harp, and golden bowls full of incense, which are the prayers of the saints.

9 και ψάλλουσι νέαν ωδήν, λέγοντες· Άξιος είσαι να λάβης το βιβλίον και να ανοίξης τας σφραγίδας αυτού, διότι εσφάγης και ηγόρασας ημάς εις τον Θεόν διά του αίματός σου εκ πάσης φυλής και γλώσσης και λαού και έθνους,

And they sing a new song, saying, Worthy art thou to take the book, and to open the seals thereof: for thou wast slain, and didst purchase unto God with thy blood [men] of every tribe, and tongue, and people, and nation,

10 και έκαμες ημάς εις τον Θεόν ημών βασιλείς και ιερείς, και θέλομεν βασιλεύσει επί της γης.

and madest them [to be] unto our God a kingdom and priests; and they reign upon the earth.

11 Και είδον και ήκουσα φωνήν αγγέλων πολλών κυκλόθεν του θρόνου και των ζώων και των πρεσβυτέρων, και ήτο ο αριθμός αυτών μυριάδες μυριάδων και χιλιάδες χιλιάδων,

And I saw, and I heard a voice of many angels round about the throne and the living creatures and the elders; and the number of them was ten thousand times ten thousand, and thousands of thousands;

12 λέγοντες μετά φωνής μεγάλης· Άξιον είναι το Αρνίον το εσφαγμένον να λάβη την δύναμιν και πλούτον και σοφίαν και ισχύν και τιμήν και δόξαν και ευλογίαν.

saying with a great voice, Worthy is the Lamb that hath been slain to receive the power, and riches, and wisdom, and might, and honor, and glory, and blessing.

13 Και παν κτίσμα, το οποίον είναι εν τω ουρανώ και επί της γης και υποκάτω της γης και όσα είναι εν τη θαλάσση και πάντα τα εν αυτοίς, ήκουσα ότι έλεγον· Εις τον καθήμενον επί του θρόνου και εις το Αρνίον έστω η ευλογία και η τιμή και η δόξα και το κράτος εις τους αιώνας των αιώνων. (aiōn g165)

And every created thing which is in the heaven, and on the earth, and under the earth, and on the sea, and all things that are in them, heard I saying, Unto him that sitteth on the throne, and unto the Lamb, [be] the blessing, and the honor, and the glory, and the dominion, for ever and ever. (aiōn g165)

14 Και τα τέσσαρα ζώα έλεγον· Αμήν· και οι εικοσιτέσσαρες πρεσβύτεροι έπεσαν και προσεκύνησαν τον ζώντα εις τους αιώνας των αιώνων.

And the four living creatures said, Amen. And the elders fell down and worshipped.
