Αποκαλυψις Ιωαννου 13

1 Και εστάθην επί την άμμον της θαλάσσης· και είδον θηρίον αναβαίνον εκ της θαλάσσης, το οποίον είχε κεφαλάς επτά και κέρατα δέκα, και επί των κεράτων αυτού δέκα διαδήματα και επί τας κεφαλάς αυτού όνομα βλασφημίας.

And I stood on the sand of the sea, and I saw a beast coming up out of the sea, having seven heads and ten horns, and ten crowns on its horns, and on its heads names of slander,

2 Και το θηρίον, το οποίον είδον, ήτο όμοιον με πάρδαλιν, και οι πόδες αυτού ως άρκτου, και το στόμα αυτού ως στόμα λέοντος· και έδωκεν εις αυτό ο δράκων την δύναμιν αυτού και τον θρόνον αυτού και εξουσίαν μεγάλην.

and the beast that I saw was like to a leopard, and its feet as of a bear, and its mouth as the mouth of a lion, and the dragon gave to it his power, and his throne, and great authority.

3 Και είδον μίαν των κεφαλών αυτού ως πεπληγωμένην θανατηφόρως· και η θαναφόρος πληγή αυτού εθεραπεύθη, και εθαύμασεν όλη η γη οπίσω του θηρίου,

And I saw one of its heads as slain to death, and its deadly wound was healed, and all the earth wondered after the beast,

4 και προσεκύνησαν τον δράκοντα, όστις έδωκεν εξουσίαν εις το θηρίον, και προσεκύνησαν το θηρίον, λέγοντες· Τις όμοιος με το θηρίον; τις δύναται να πολεμήση με αυτό;

and they worshiped the dragon who gave authority to the beast, and they worshiped the beast, saying, “Who [is] like to the beast? Who is able to war with it?”

5 και εδόθη εις αυτό στόμα λαλούν μεγάλα και βλαφημίας· και εδόθη εις αυτό εξουσία να κάμη πόλεμον τεσσαράκοντα δύο μήνας.

And there was given to it a mouth speaking great things, and slanders, and there was given to it authority to make war forty-two months,

6 Και ήνοιξε το στόμα αυτού εις βλαφημίαν εναντίον του Θεού, να βλαφημήση το όνομα αυτού και την σκηνήν αυτού και τους κατοικούντας εν τω ουρανώ.

and it opened its mouth for slander toward God, to slander His Name, and of His dwelling place, and of those who dwell in Heaven,

7 Και εδόθη εις αυτό να κάμη πόλεμον με τους αγίους, και να νικήση αυτούς, και εδόθη εις αυτό εξουσία επί πάσαν φυλήν και γλώσσαν και έθνος.

and there was given to it to make war with the holy ones, and to overcome them, and there was given to it authority over every tribe, and tongue, and nation.

8 Και θέλουσι προσκυνήσει αυτό πάντες οι κατοικούντες επί της γης, των οποίων τα ονόματα δεν εγράφησαν εν τω βιβλίω της ζωής του Αρνίου του εσφαγμένου από καταβολής κόσμου.

And all who are dwelling on the earth will worship him, whose names have not been written in the Scroll of Life of the Lamb slain from the foundation of the world;

9 Όστις έχει ωτίον, ας ακούση.

if anyone has an ear—let him hear:

10 Όστις φέρει εις αιχμαλωσίαν, εις αιχμαλωσίαν υπάγει. Όστις φονεύση με μάχαιραν, πρέπει αυτός να φονευθή με μάχαιραν. Εδώ είναι η υπομονή και η πίστις των αγίων.

if anyone [goes] into captivity, into captivity he goes; if anyone is to be killed with sword, it is necessary of him by sword to be killed; here is the endurance and the faith of the holy ones.

11 Και είδον άλλο θηρίον αναβαίνον εκ της γης, και είχε κέρατα δύο όμοια με αρνίου, και ελάλει ως δράκων.

And I saw another beast coming up out of the earth, and it had two horns like a lamb, and it was speaking as a dragon,

12 Και ενήργει όλην την εξουσίαν του πρώτου θηρίου ενώπιον αυτού. Και έκαμε την γην και τους κατοικούντας εν αυτή να προσκυνήσωσι το θηρίον το πρώτον, του οποίου εθεραπεύθη η θανατηφόρος πληγή.

and all the authority of the first beast does it do before it, and it makes the earth and those dwelling in it that they will worship the first beast, whose deadly wound was healed,

13 Και έκαμνε σημεία μεγάλα, ώστε και πυρ έκαμνε να καταβαίνη εκ του ουρανού εις την γην ενώπιον των ανθρώπων.

and it does great signs, that fire also it may make to come down from the sky to the earth before men,

14 Και επλάνα τους κατοικούντας επί της γης διά τα σημεία, τα οποία εδόθησαν εις αυτό να κάμη ενώπιον του θηρίου, λέγον προς τους κατοικούντας επί της γης να κάμωσιν εικόνα εις το θηρίον, το οποίον έχει την πληγήν της μαχαίρας και έζησε.

and it leads astray those dwelling on the earth, because of the signs that were given it to do before the beast, saying to those dwelling on the earth to make an image to the beast that has the wound of the sword and lived,

15 Και εδόθη εις αυτό να δώση πνεύμα εις την εικόνα του θηρίου, ώστε και να λαλήση η εικών του θηρίου και να κάμη, όσοι δεν προσκυνήσωσι την εικόνα του θηρίου, να θανατωθώσι.

and there was given to it to give a spirit to the image of the beast, that also the image of the beast may speak, and it may cause as many as will not worship the image of the beast, that they may be killed.

16 Και έκαμνε πάντας, τους μικρούς και τους μεγάλους και τους πλουσίους και τους πτωχούς και τους ελευθέρους και τους δούλους, να λάβωσι χάραγμα επί της χειρός αυτών της δεξιάς ή επί των μετώπων αυτών,

And it makes all, the small, and the great, and the rich, and the poor, and the freemen, and the servants, that it may give to them a mark on their right hand or on their foreheads,

17 και να μη δύναται μηδείς να αγοράση ή να πωλήση, ειμή ο έχων το χάραγμα, ή το όνομα του θηρίου ή τον αριθμόν του ονόματος αυτού.

and that no one may be able to buy, or to sell, except he who is having the mark, or the name of the beast, or the number of his name.

18 Εδώ είναι η σοφία· όστις έχει τον νούν, ας λογαριάση τον αριθμόν του θηρίου, διότι είναι αριθμός ανθρώπου· και ο αριθμός αυτού είναι χξς'.

Here is the wisdom! He who is having the understanding, let him count the number of the beast, for it is the number of a man, and its number: six hundred sixty-six.
