Ψαλμοί 72

1 «Ψαλμός διά τον Σολομώντα.» Θεέ, δος την κρίσιν σου εις τον βασιλέα και την δικαιοσύνην σου εις τον υιόν του βασιλέως·

A Psalme of Salomon. Give thy iudgements to the King, O God, and thy righteousnesse to the Kings sonne.

2 Διά να κρίνη τον λαόν σου εν δικαιοσύνη και τους πτωχούς σου εν κρίσει.

Then shall he iudge thy people in righteousnesse, and thy poore with equitie.

3 Τα όρη θέλουσι φέρει ειρήνην εις τον λαόν και οι λόφοι δικαιοσύνην.

The mountaines and the hilles shall bring peace to the people by iustice.

4 Θέλει κρίνει τους πτωχούς του λαού· θέλει σώσει τους υιούς των πενήτων και συντρίψει τον καταδυναστεύοντα.

He shall iudge the poore of the people: he shall saue the children of the needie, and shall subdue the oppressor.

5 Θέλουσι σε φοβείσθαι ενόσω διαμένει ο ήλιος και η σελήνη, εις γενεάς γενεών.

They shall feare thee as long as the sunne and moone endureth, from generatio to generation.

6 Θέλει καταβή ως βροχή επί θερισμένον λειβάδιον· ως ρανίδες σταλάζουσαι επί την γην.

He shall come downe like the rayne vpon the mowen grasse, and as the showres that water the earth.

7 Εν ταις ημέραις αυτού θέλει ανθεί ο δίκαιος· και αφθονία ειρήνης θέλει είσθαι εωσού μη υπάρξη η σελήνη.

In his dayes shall the righteous florish, and abundance of peace shalbe so long as the moone endureth.

8 Και θέλει κατακυριεύει από θαλάσσης έως θαλάσσης και από του ποταμού έως των περάτων της γης.

His dominion shall be also from sea to sea, and from the Riuer vnto the endes of the land.

9 Έμπροσθεν αυτού θέλουσι γονυκλιτήσει οι κατοικούντες εν ερήμοις, και οι εχθροί αυτού θέλουσι γλείψει το χώμα.

They that dwell in ye wildernes, shall kneele before him, and his enemies shall licke the dust.

10 Οι βασιλείς της Θαρσείς και των νήσων θέλουσι προσφέρει προσφοράς· οι βασιλείς της Αραβίας και της Σεβά θέλουσι προσφέρει δώρα.

The Kings of Tarshish and of the yles shall bring presents: the Kings of Sheba and Seba shall bring giftes.

11 Και θέλουσι προσκυνήσει αυτόν πάντες οι βασιλείς· πάντα τα έθνη θέλουσι δουλεύσει αυτόν.

Yea, all Kings shall worship him: all nations shall serue him.

12 Διότι θέλει ελευθερώσει τον πτωχόν κράζοντα και τον πένητα και τον αβοήθητον.

For he shall deliuer the poore when he cryeth: the needie also, and him that hath no helper.

13 Θέλει ελεήσει τον πτωχόν και τον πένητα· και τας ψυχάς των πενήτων θέλει σώσει.

He shalbe mercifull to the poore and needie, and shall preserue the soules of the poore.

14 Εκ δόλου και εξ αδικίας θέλει λυτρόνει τας ψυχάς αυτών· και πολύτιμον θέλει είσθαι το αίμα αυτών εις τους οφθαλμούς αυτού.

He shall redeeme their soules from deceite and violence, and deare shall their blood be in his sight.

15 Και θέλει ζη, και θέλει δοθή εις αυτόν από του χρυσίου της Αραβίας, και θέλει γίνεσθαι πάντοτε προσευχή υπέρ αυτού· όλην την ημέραν θέλουσιν ευλογεί αυτόν.

Yea, he shall liue, and vnto him shall they giue of the golde of Sheba: they shall also pray for him continually, and dayly blesse him.

16 Δράξ σίτου εάν υπάρχη εν τη γη επί των κορυφών των ορέων, ο καρπός αυτού θέλει σείεσθαι ως ο Λίβανος· και οι κάτοικοι εν τη πόλει θέλουσιν εξανθήσει ως ο χόρτος της γης.

An handfull of corne shall be sowen in the earth, euen in the toppe of the mountaines, and the fruite thereof shall shake like the trees of Lebanon: and the children shall florish out of the citie like the grasse of the earth.

17 Το όνομα αυτού θέλει διαμένει εις τον αιώνα· το όνομα αυτού θέλει διαρκεί ενόσω διαμένει ο ήλιος· και οι άνθρωποι θέλουσιν ευλογείσθαι εν αυτώ· πάντα τα έθνη θέλουσι μακαρίζει αυτόν.

His name shall be for euer: his name shall indure as long as the sunne: all nations shall blesse him, and be blessed in him.

18 Ευλογητός Κύριος ο Θεός, ο Θεός του Ισραήλ, όστις μόνος κάμνει θαυμάσια·

Blessed be the Lord God, euen the God of Israel, which onely doeth wonderous things.

19 και ευλογημένον το ένδοξον όνομα αυτού εις τον αιώνα· και ας πληρωθή από της δόξης αυτού η πάσα γη. Αμήν, και αμήν.

And blessed be his glorious Name for euer: and let all the earth be filled with his glorie. So be it, euen so be it.

20 Ετελείωσαν αι προσευχαί του Δαβίδ υιού του Ιεσσαί.
