Ψαλμοί 5
1 «Εις τον πρώτον μουσικόν, επί Νεγιλώθ. Ψαλμός του Δαβίδ.» Ακροάσθητι, Κύριε, τους λόγους μου· νόησον τον στεναγμόν μου.
For the Leader; upon the Nehiloth. A Psalm of David. Give ear to my words, O LORD, consider my (meditation)
2 Πρόσεξον εις την φωνήν της κραυγής μου, Βασιλεύ μου και Θεέ μου· Διότι εις σε θέλω προσευχηθή.
Hearken unto the voice of my cry, my King, and my God; for unto Thee do I pray.
3 Κύριε, το πρωΐ θέλεις ακούσει την φωνήν μου· το πρωΐ θέλω παρασταθή εις σε και θέλω προσδοκά.
O LORD, in the morning shalt Thou hear my voice; in the morning will I order my prayer unto Thee, and will look forward.
4 Διότι δεν είσαι συ Θεός θέλων την ασέβειαν· ο πονηρευόμενος δεν θέλει κατοικεί πλησίον σου.
For Thou art not a God that hath pleasure in wickedness; evil shall not sojourn with Thee.
5 Ουδέ θέλουσι σταθή οι άφρονες έμπροσθεν των οφθαλμών σου· μισείς πάντας τους εργάτας της ανομίας.
The boasters shall not stand in Thy sight; Thou hatest all workers of iniquity.
6 Θέλεις εξολοθρεύσει τους λαλούντας το ψεύδος· ο Κύριος βδελύττεται τον άνθρωπον τον αιμοβόρον και τον δόλιον.
Thou destroyest them that speak falsehood; the LORD abhorreth the man of blood and of deceit.
7 Αλλ' εγώ διά του πλήθους του ελέους σου θέλω εισέλθει εις τον οίκόν σου· θέλω προσκυνήσει προς τον ναόν της αγιότητός σου μετά φόβου σου.
But as for me, in the abundance of Thy lovingkindness will I come into Thy house; I will bow down toward Thy holy temple in the fear of Thee.
8 Κύριε, οδήγησόν με εν τη δικαιοσύνη σου, ένεκα των εχθρών μου· κατεύθυνον την οδόν σου έμπροσθέν μου.
O LORD, lead me in Thy righteousness because of them that lie in wait for me; make Thy way straight before my face.
9 Διότι δεν είναι εν τω στόματι αυτών αλήθεια· η καρδία αυτών είναι πονηρία· τάφος ανεωγμένος ο λάρυγξ αυτών· διά της γλώσσης αυτών κολακεύουσι.
For there is no sincerity in their mouth; their inward part is a yawning gulf, their throat is an open sepulchre; they make smooth their tongue.
10 Καταδίκασον αυτούς, Θεέ· ας αποτύχωσι των διαβουλίων αυτών· έξωσον αυτούς διά το πλήθος των παραβάσεων αυτών, διότι απεστάτησαν εναντίον σου.
Hold them guilty, O God, let them fall by their own counsels; cast them down in the multitude of their transgressions; for they have rebelled against Thee.
11 Ας ευφραίνωνται δε πάντες οι ελπίζοντες επί σέ· ας χαίρωσι διαπαντός, διότι συ περισκεπάζεις αυτούς· ας καυχώνται ομοίως επί σε οι αγαπώντες το όνομά σου.
So shall all those that take refuge in Thee rejoice, they shall ever shout for joy, and Thou shalt shelter them; let them also that love Thy name exult in Thee.
12 Διότι συ, Κύριε, θέλεις ευλογήσει τον δίκαιον· θέλεις περισκεπάσει αυτόν με ευμένειαν, ως με ασπίδα.
For Thou dost bless the righteous; O LORD, Thou dost encompass him with favour as with a shield.
