Ψαλμοί 47

1 «Εις τον πρώτον μουσικόν. Ψαλμός διά τους υιούς Κορέ.» Πάντες οι λαοί, κροτήσατε χείρας· αλαλάξατε εις τον Θεόν εν φωνή αγαλλιάσεως.

Unto the end. A Psalm for the sons of Korah. All nations, clap your hands. Shout joyfully to God with a voice of exultation.

2 Διότι ο Κύριος είναι ύψιστος, φοβερός, Βασιλεύς μέγας επί πάσαν την γην.

For the Lord is exalted and terrible: a great King over all the earth.

3 Υπέταξε λαούς εις ημάς και έθνη υπό τους πόδας ημών.

He has subjected the peoples to us and subdued the nations under our feet.

4 Έκλεξε διά ημάς την κληρονομίαν την δόξαν του Ιακώβ, τον οποίον ηγάπησε. Διάψαλμα.

He has chosen us for his inheritance: the splendor of Jacob, whom he has loved.

5 Ανέβη ο Θεός εν αλαλαγμώ, ο Κύριος εν φωνή σάλπιγγος.

God ascends with jubilation, and the Lord with the voice of the trumpet.

6 Ψάλατε εις τον Θεόν, ψάλατε· ψάλατε εις τον Βασιλέα ημών, ψάλατε.

Sing psalms to our God, sing psalms. Sing psalms to our King, sing psalms.

7 Διότι Βασιλεύς πάσης της γης είναι ο Θεός· ψάλατε μετά συνέσεως.

For God is the King of all the earth. Sing psalms wisely.

8 Ο Θεός βασιλεύει επί τα έθνη· ο Θεός κάθηται επί του θρόνου της αγιότητος αυτού.

God will reign over the peoples. God sits upon his holy throne.

9 Οι άρχοντες των λαών συνήχθησαν μετά του λαού του Θεού του Αβραάμ· διότι του Θεού είναι αι ασπίδες της γής· υψώθη σφόδρα.

The leaders of the peoples have been gathered together by the God of Abraham. For the strong gods of the earth have been exceedingly exalted.
