Ψαλμοί 139
1 «Εις τον πρώτον μουσικόν. Ψαλμός του Δαβίδ.» Κύριε, εδοκίμασάς με και με εγνώρισας.
To the chief Musician, A Psalm of David. O LORD, thou hast searched me, and known [me].
2 Συ γνωρίζεις το κάθισμά μου και την έγερσίν μου· νοείς τους λογισμούς μου από μακρόθεν.
Thou knowest my downsitting and mine uprising, thou understandest my thought afar off.
3 Εξερευνάς το περιπάτημά μου και το πλαγίασμά μου και πάσας τας οδούς μου γνωρίζεις.
Thou compassest my path and my lying down, and art acquainted [with] all my ways.
4 Διότι και πριν έλθη ο λόγος εις την γλώσσαν μου, ιδού, Κύριε, γνωρίζεις το παν.
For [there is] not a word in my tongue, [but], lo, O LORD, thou knowest it altogether.
5 Με περικυκλόνεις όπισθεν και έμπροσθεν, και έθεσας επ' εμέ την χείρα σου.
Thou hast beset me behind and before, and laid thine hand upon me.
6 Η γνώσις αύτη είναι υπερθαύμαστος εις εμέ· είναι υψηλή· δεν δύναμαι να φθάσω εις αυτήν.
[Such] knowledge [is] too wonderful for me; it is high, I cannot [attain] unto it.
7 Που να υπάγω από του πνεύματός σου; και από του προσώπου σου που να φύγω;
Whither shall I go from thy spirit? or whither shall I flee from thy presence?
If I ascend up into heaven, thou [art] there: if I make my bed in hell, behold, thou [art there]. (Sheol h7585)
9 Εάν λάβω τας πτέρυγας της αυγής και κατοικήσω εις τα έσχατα της θαλάσσης,
[If] I take the wings of the morning, [and] dwell in the uttermost parts of the sea;
10 και εκεί θέλει με οδηγήσει η χειρ σου και η δεξιά σου θέλει με κρατεί.
Even there shall thy hand lead me, and thy right hand shall hold me.
11 Εάν είπω, Αλλά το σκότος θέλει με σκεπάσει, και η νυξ θέλει είσθαι φως περί εμέ·
If I say, Surely the darkness shall cover me; even the night shall be light about me.
12 και αυτό το σκότος δεν σκεπάζει ουδέν από σού· και η νυξ λάμπει ως η ημέρα· εις σε το σκότος είναι ως το φως.
Yea, the darkness hideth not from thee; but the night shineth as the day: the darkness and the light [are] both alike [to thee].
13 Διότι συ εμόρφωσας τους νεφρούς μου· με περιετύλιξας εν τη κοιλία της μητρός μου.
For thou hast possessed my reins: thou hast covered me in my mother’s womb.
14 Θέλω σε υμνεί, διότι φοβερώς και θαυμασίως επλάσθην· θαυμάσια είναι τα έργα σου· και η ψυχή μου κάλλιστα γνωρίζει τούτο.
I will praise thee; for I am fearfully [and] wonderfully made: marvellous [are] thy works; and [that] my soul knoweth right well.
15 Δεν εκρύφθησαν τα οστά μου από σου, ενώ επλαττόμην εν τω κρυπτώ και διεμορφονόμην εν τοις κατωτάτοις της γης.
My substance was not hid from thee, when I was made in secret, [and] curiously wrought in the lowest parts of the earth.
16 Το αδιαμόρφωτον του σώματός μου είδον οι οφθαλμοί σου· και εν τω βιβλίω σου πάντα ταύτα ήσαν γεγραμμένα, ως και αι ημέραι καθ' ας εσχηματίζοντο, και ενώ ουδέν εκ τούτων υπήρχε·
Thine eyes did see my substance, yet being unperfect; and in thy book all [my members] were written, [which] in continuance were fashioned, when [as yet there was] none of them.
17 πόσον δε πολύτιμοι είναι εις εμέ αι βουλαί σου, Θεέ· πόσον εμεγαλύνθη ο αριθμός αυτών.
How precious also are thy thoughts unto me, O God! how great is the sum of them!
18 Εάν ήθελον να απαριθμήσω αυτάς, υπερβαίνουσι την άμμον· εξυπνώ, και έτι είμαι μετά σου.
[If] I should count them, they are more in number than the sand: when I awake, I am still with thee.
19 Βεβαίως θέλεις θανατώσει τους ασεβείς, Θεέ· απομακρύνθητε λοιπόν απ' εμού, άνδρες αιμάτων.
Surely thou wilt slay the wicked, O God: depart from me therefore, ye bloody men.
20 Διότι λαλούσι κατά σου ασεβώς· οι εχθροί σου λαμβάνουσι το όνομά σου επί ματαίω.
For they speak against thee wickedly, [and] thine enemies take [thy name] in vain.
21 Μη δεν μισώ, Κύριε, τους μισούντάς σε; και δεν αγανακτώ κατά των επανισταμένων επί σε;
Do not I hate them, O LORD, that hate thee? and am not I grieved with those that rise up against thee?
22 Με τέλειον μίσος μισώ αυτούς· διά εχθρούς έχω αυτούς.
I hate them with perfect hatred: I count them mine enemies.
23 Δοκίμασόν με, Θεέ, και γνώρισον την καρδίαν μου· εξέτασόν με και μάθε τους στοχασμούς μου·
Search me, O God, and know my heart: try me, and know my thoughts:
24 και ιδέ, αν υπάρχη εν εμοί οδός ανομίας· και οδήγησόν με εις την οδόν την αιώνιον.
And see if [there be any] wicked way in me, and lead me in the way everlasting.
